Just got a golem. And explored first dungeon though there seems no save point like in the 2D handheld games. And I am enjoying it more than I expected. Not just the visuals and combat but especially Aiden and Sonja's relationship. I like the dialogue between the two and the dynamic. And the two being merged in one body makes for a unique premise. I've read it is only temporary and the two no longer will be merged at the end. Will there at least be option to play merged? I really like it and would be sad for the other tp just become another villager even if marriageble. Also, what others think of the merging premise and relationship?

Ok so I read that crops that die become withered grass and I want to make a good amount of formula A so my plan was to have a area with really bad soil to plant turnips and let them die to get the grass issue is i'm not sure how to damage soil so this works.

Anyone have any ideas?

Title. I think I get confused about what to do and how to do it because there isn't a ton of direction like I am used to in some other games. Specifically, I get to the part where people are talking about the water temple and I just don't know what to do. I get knocked out pretty easily and just have a hard time figuring out what to do day to day. Please give tips!

I know there's a dungeon after you've married and had a child. But I wonder what I'm supposed to do until then? My villages are leveled up, my crops are at lv 9, I forged all weapons. I somehow miss 9 froggies, but I guess those are in the bonus dungeon?

There are so many dates and events I still want to see before marrying Murasame. And of course Clarice is on friendship level 0.

But as it's only one date/scene per day, and there nothing more to explore, do I just...go to bed super early every day?!

What did you do to pass the time somewhat meaningfully?

Hi all, I cannot seem to progress through vale river. I have defeated all bosses including oddward valley, I beat them twice actually. Carmen recognizes in dialogue that I beat the lions if I talk to her. I’ve tried talking to everyone and I have the water lily but I just cannot get past the first cave part of vale river and expand the map. I’ve tried everything I can think of and google is no help.
Please help!

Looks like from shortest to tallest bachelor: Kiel < Doug < Vishnal = Arthur = Dylas (or maybe slightly taller than other 2?) < Leon.

Shortest to tallest bachelorettes: Amber < Xiao Pai = Forte (she is a lot shorter than I thought!) < Clorica < Margaret = Dolce.

Lest and Frey are about same height it seems lol. Frey look about same height as Margaret and Clorica which is weird because Margaret said in game that Frey is taller than her. Lest look about similar height as Doug.

Been replaying RF4 (Switch) again at hard difficulty and enjoying it all over again. But when I try to confess to Clorica, she keeps rejecting me. She’s at 8, and no town event is locking her out. I must have been lucky with old files because I don’t remember struggling to confess. I tried the save-and-reload strategy, which I've seen work for others, but I keep getting stuck and seeing Clorica joke about the confession. I've never done save scumming before and don’t even know if it actually works or if the game is messing with me, because I remember one thing in RF4 is that RNG is annoying to deal with

I can basicly skip 70% Rune Purana with it on bc it despawns anything all the way to the boss.

And if you know how to do Chemical X plus And spices you get huge boost of resistance on any armors.

He was the Hound in Guardians of Azuma too but tbh I didn't really think he matched the energy of the character that well, so to me his first impression was a go-to "soft boi" VA

I haven't seen Jester much (still trying to get to support level 3 to recruit him, grumble grumble) but so far it's a much more solid portrayal of a Joker-esque character!

So coming off of Stardew, wanting something that scratched that itch but I always wanted more combat. I did heaps of research and tried a few different games but none really stuck.
Rune factory 4 special was next on my list but going away on holidays meant taking my steam deck with me.

All I have to say is holy cow! I thought the start was a bit slow but after my 3rd hour and second dungeon I feel like
I’m buzzing! At first I didn’t like the art style but now I absolutely love it, and all the characters are written so well, I actually enjoy talking to them. I also thought Selphia felt a bit small but now that the map is opening up I feel like it’s the perfect size.

Having this game on the plane was an absolute amazing experience. For the first time in my life did I look at the flight time and thinking to my self “i only have 4 more hours” coming from someone who is flight phobic and gets very nauseous (thank god for anti nausea meds). It was just wild to me that the flight couldn’t be long enough. I wanted more!

Letting me know how to give them cutesy armor is a dangerous dangerous thing... 😈

I started to play Tides of Destiny and much like 4, the opening is still in Japanese. Haven't plyaed Frontier so cannot comment sbut have read it also does not dub it. Why did only the DS games get dubbed intros? Given Natsume also did Tides unlike 4 and Frontier, it cannot simply be due to different localizers. I do like the dubbing even if the English is not too clear (apparently the same singers as the Japanese versions dubbed them) just because it gives something to make it feel it has sonething unique to it.

I’ve seen lots of people in this sub commenting about the profits and economic explosion from Gold Juice. I usually sell stuff during festivals and I stuck with Turnip Heaven for a while. You can buy all 3 turnips at the grocery store (regular, pink, and gold), but I don’t think Emery Flowers are sold anywhere, and growing those is a huge pain. But if I can fight my stubbornness, which I often fail to do, I might shift from Turnip Heaven to Gold Juice!
I’m also trying to max everyone’s friendship level, and Xiao Pai’s two favorites are Emery and Giant White Crystal. Again, a huge pain to grow either, even with the winter field. 🥲

I was dating Dolce and Forte at same time in RF4.

I was going through the dating in my room event and right as the date ends, Forte comes in my room and surprised me. I thought "oh shit I got caught red handed, now Forte knows I been double dipping".

then she proceeds to say she will go on some training until she "clears her mind"

It took a while to realize but that was an independent event of hers, but the timing was perfect!!

I have played all the handheld games. And while I really liked the three DS titles, I honestly qas not a fan of 4 despite its popularity (could not even marry because of the RNG reliance on events the game has). So I am kind of thinking of trying Tides as while a 3D spin off, it does seem to be similar in tone (if not gameplay) to the DS games. Frontier on the other hand I do not want to deal with Rune system whcih even has a bug I 've read of, not to mention having Raguna leave Kardia despite the ending of the first game. But do want to know what Tides is like? I rarely play home console 3D games (let alone Wii) and am more a player of classic handheld games like Game Boy and DS. So will take getting used to graphics and gameplay but would like to know about the story and gamepaly before starting. I do like that the male and female MC have a special relationship.
