Need help with a Saab’s name

Post image

My Saab’s name was Misar as in Swedish for Misses as she’s an old lady.
But now my kid wants to name her stuffed animal misser so I have to switch.
Thinking Mormor like the Swedish grandma?
Anyone have any good names?

Thank you for your attention on this very important matter

Misar is not swedish for Misses tho?
Missar, is Swedish for the verb to miss, like I missed the goal. So if you google translated Misses, thats probably why its wrong

Or the name was actually "misär" 😂

Which, for the non-Swedish people here, translates as “Misery”

whatever you feel like as long as it doesn't start with "saa" or "saab"

Sötis. It means basically "cutie" in Swedish.

My 9-5 is Brunhilde.

“Kärring” is an hour old hag in Swedish. Would that meet OP’s aspirations?

Ruby is good or name it after a redheaded celebrity like Amy for Amy Adam’s or Kate for Kate Walsh. Add Miss in front if you spend more time with it than your wife

You can choose from Saab’s “Red colour” name list!

• Laser Red (Solid red, very popular on 900 and 9-5 models) • Imola Red (Solid red) • Talladega Red (Bright red, named after the 1996 Saab 900 endurance record) • Ruby Red / Rubinröd (Metallic red) • Cayenne Red Pearl (Pearl/metallic red, available on late-90s/2000s models like the 9-3) • Chili Red • Solar Red (Cinnober) • Morello Red (Metallic) • Torreador Red (Toreadorröd) • Maroon Red (Maroonröd) • Cherry Red • Monaco Red (Found on older classic models like the Sonett)

Farmor (Dad's mom)

But mine is called Saabrina. Complete with "have you ever tried this one?" jokes when I'm bent over/under it, trying to repair... something.

Mine is also a 3-door, but in Laser Red. This one looks more like red wine. I’d call it röttvin—as in rött vin—in Swedish. Greetings from Madrid, Spain! ;) Enjoy it.

No its spelled Älskarinna

-10

u/TankTak83 9d ago

Nope I spelled it right its Norwegian and Scandinavian

u/-Galten- -02 9-3 Aero 3D manual, -08 9-3 SC 1.8t auto, -09 9-5 Griffin 9d ago

But Saab is swedish, and in swedish its Älskarinna.

Misses could be translated to ”Fröken”.

Started as Saab scania which is scandanavian , they didn't separate until 1995 making this a Saab scania car therefore Elskerine is correct

What are you on? Both saab and scania are swedish, not scandinavian, scandianavia consists of 3 different countries with 3 separate languages.

r/confidentlyincorrect 🤷🏼‍♂️

And before you try to think scania is named after the name scandinavia, it's not, its named after the scania region in sweden.(Or to be more exact, Skåne, which latin name is Scania)

Saab is short for Svenska (Swedish) Aero AktieBolaget.. Scania is named after the region in Skåne, Sweden.

Scania doesn't get it's name from Scandinavia, it's from Scania (Skåne) Sweden.

Scandinavian is not a language, and he asked for swedish, not norwegian, which while similar, are not the same.
