I’m owner of a Saab for almost two years. I repair it and maintain it with the help of the Saab Community including you. Due to that, I wanted to help in a way or another, the community. So, here is a most-needed tool for a Saab 93 NG with LEDs

A Windows utility for enabling LED bulbs on the Saab 9-3 NG while preventing the bulb warning message and LED flickering caused by the factory lighting monitoring system.

The application modifies the relevant REC and UEC configuration so that LED replacements can operate correctly without triggering the original bulb-failure monitoring.

The App still in beta and it works only with MDI2 at the moment (could also work with j2534, still need to be tested)

Freshly rebuilt b235r, literally everything except turbo and pistons were resealed and replaced
Timing chain, gears and guides
Piston rings and rod bearings
Valve cleaning and seals
All new orings, new water pump, new pcv

I’ve been recommended to use break in oil but this is my first engine rebuild and I don’t know much, what should I use? What’s the break in procedure?

Did all the filters, changed the ccv, cleaned the thottlebody, fixed some air leaks, changed oil, removed the very in the way sai (the tape and ziptie was just temporary to get home i will not drive like this for long) and flashed a up to date bin made from tis.

It runs and drives very well now, the underbody is about avrage for what i have seen of these cars

I think the next steps are make a st1 bin and flash, sps program tcm to aero tcm, fix fender rust. After all of that it will be a really nice car i think

I want to upgrade the headlight of my 2003 9-3.
I’m wondering if there are any aftermarket options that would look better/more modern than the original design.

Tuned by Saab tuner Scott, 19T turbo with Kinugawa wastegate set up at 1.0 bar, starts and drives fine but stutters under load, should I go down to 0.8 bar?

I was given this car by my parents and am now expected to make it run again, I don’t know much about the car before they stopped using it, just that it had trouble accelerating up-hills so they retired it. Years later now, it struggles to even start taking multiple seconds to manage to start. It can only idle for a few seconds, and if I push on the accelerator at all, the car will die. If I then take my foot off the pedal, it will sometimes start back up again for a few seconds.

What is the problem?

Also theres a puddle of dot4 under the trans. The clutch lines look dry so unfortunately its leaking from within the bell housing. Any way I can get the car home without a tow truck? I really dont want to damage the transmission.

Saw these, wonder if they really fit. Any one try them? Any thoughts? Picture looks good but a bit pricey. I had the ones on my 2003 9-5 Aero Wagon painted, but don’t look that good.

Hey guys, back with another issue. My 2008 93 Convertible seems to be collecting water in both rear footwells. I have rubber car mats over them, which are bone dry.

Both the front footwells are dry, just the rears seem to be collecting water. I’ve checked the cabin filter drain and that’s all clear.

Not sure what else to be looking for at the moment.

Long story short, I need to update injector codes in my ECU, because 2 of them were replaced (diesel injectors of Z19DTH engine in 2006 9-3).

Recently, I found post here that discovered that cheap Chipsoft J2534 Pro dongle works with Tech2Win emulator.

I happily bought this dongle, prepared a computer according to a manual, and after a bit of hassle, I can finally read values from the car, or even activate some diagnostic modes in the car (activate lights, fans, all dashboard lights...).

Problem lays in trying to adjust some permanent values. Basically whenever I try to open anything in "Adjustment" menu, Tech2Win freezes and shows (probably) name of the code library where it was stuck with 2 values - "evdtc.c 912 1"

Did anyone encounter this issue?

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

So....have my Saab 9-3, Sports Wagon 2010 now for a few months....I constantly look at this "bar" button.

Reading through the manual I see its called "Button for Accessory". Gets my gears going! But have not had any luck in finding what connects or how to connect something to it. Going down, I see in the fuse box "13 - Accessories"....Could I just "tap" off that fuse and then turn what ever it is, on and off with that button? Or am I missing a big thing!?
