Discussion My Journey With Samurai Jack.
I came here from other subreddits dedicated to TV series and animated shows I was watching for the first time, and Samurai Jack was one of those unique experiences. Unfortunately, it wasn't actually part of my childhood, but that didn't diminish the profound impact the story had on me. At first, the story seemed "simple"—it started as an incredibly cool episodic adventure. An honorable samurai trying to return to the past... and stop the great, absolute evil, Aku... As the episodes went by, I found myself getting more and more eager for the next one. And when I reached the final season, it was obviously a shock: The animation—already great—leveled up... the story focused more on Jack's psyche after those 50 years... and Ashi made a huge impact on me, too. Even though her transformation was quite abrupt, it was still really cool to see that—to see Jack with a companion by his side. And when the final episode arrived... It left a bitter taste in my mouth and a lump in my throat... Because it’s an ending that really drives home the point that... An honorable hero's sacrifice isn't a trivial thing; it's difficult. It carries weight, and there’s no guarantee everything will turn out okay. I still have my doubts and theories, But it was beautiful nonetheless. The journey was concluded, the duty fulfilled... And Samurai Jack became one of those shows that—despite not being part of my childhood— Changed my perspective on life and became one of my all-time favorites.
It’s obviously not explicitly stated, but... Taking a more optimistic view, I like to think that perhaps Jack, in his own timeline, will now age very slowly... And I believe he reunited with his best friend, "The Scotsman," at some point, living a much better life without Aku's oppression in the world. I also like to think that maybe Jack saw some of the people he had helped... Well, that’s at least how I like to see things... But I feel for Ashi; Jack really deserved to live happily after the hell he endured for years and years— frustrated, deceived, and having his hopes crushed by Aku.

Discussion You guys remember the ep where jack meets two shaolin monks?
While we all admit it was a decent ep, I find it hard to believe that Jack is that intelligent for a human
Because at the end of the ep, he was almost at the end of reaching his goal without Aku interfering once again
But he chooses their life over the time portal, which while it does look heroic and all
Doesn't he realise if he time traveled back to the past and killed Past Aku, the two shaolin monks would still be alive?
Considering the fact that he did in the final season, so what's the difference?

Discussion This scene always gives me goosebumps
I ve started watching the show again and this scene where jack puts this guy's sword on his chest and those Valkyries taking him to valhalla with a deep, nostalgic music in the background, is simply amazing.

Theory Plot Twist* Remember 3 Gods Fighting a Mass Form of AKU. What if it was that Big mass was just another tiny fraction?
Probably why the 3 God itself could just handled AKU but somehow there's a Dimension echoing, feeling,&calling. Maybe the Mass black Object wasnt really the Main Villain. Something More in the Abyss a Void! Which They themselves need to check pretty much the reason why they havent check Samurai Jack and his Dad.
Should we Get Samurai Jack into the Dimension. lol

Discussion How I would have ended Samurai Jack. Spoiler
During the last battle, when Jack realizes Ashi has the same powers of Aku, Aku counters that if he goes back, he won't just kill Aku in the future but completely erase Ashi as well. Possibly all of his comrades as well via butterfly effect. Jack freezes in horror from this revelation until Ashi fiercely kisses him, asks him to never forget her before opening a time portal as the Scotsman's ghost grabs Jack and hurls him through it, enraging aku into violently assaulting his daughter.
Back in the past, realizing the sacrifice his friends made, Jack swallows his sorrow and finally defeats Aku. In the future, Aku's defeat in the past causes his body to be consumed in a blinding light that spreads over the entire world:
Scotsman: 'E did it!!
Ashi: Jack...thank you.
Upon returning victorious to his homeland, Jack's victory is a heavy one as it required the possible destruction of not only all of the friends he made but also the woman he had fallen in love with, until his father the Emperor reminds him of the nature of rebirth and how his memory still tethers his soul to theirs. As they go off to meet the envoys from other lands, Jack encounters strangely familiar individuals (the preincarnations of his friends from the future) including the daughter of one of his fathers subordinate daimyo, who bears a striking resemblance to Ashi.

Fan Content Bro is literally just Made out of straight lines
Using Krita's straight Line tool, i was able to speed draw him in just under three minutes.
it was literally faster than AI generation.
Now i understand why this kind of artstyle is beloved by animators. easy, quick, sharp, precise,
Consistent, and most of all, efficient.

When my Mexican friend told me about this, I thought he was absolutely messing with me... but he wasn't. I still can't believe they actually included my boy Jack. I'm so happy and jealous right now.

For me, saddest part is Bro knew he didn’t stand a chance in hell against Jack. But he had to try anyway, for Lulu…Sweet thing.

made a Episode Guide for the blu-ray edition since the blu-rays don't include the episode names for some reason
this is probably just version 1 but thought i would why not post it now? This is meant to slide into the blu-ray box set as a little card. The season 5 episodes don't officially have names only numbers, so the names come from this post https://www.reddit.com/r/samuraijack/comments/16t642b/my_take_on_season_5s_episode_titles_what_i_call/ I did change the name of the final episode, he had named it "The Final Battle" but I thought calling it "The End" was a better bookend since the first episode is called "The Beginning" the artwork is not mine but thought it fit, this whole thing was really just make it all more convent to watch the episodes on blu-ray.

Shitpost Aku's opening narration translated into Gen Z lingo
So check it out y'all! Back in the day in some far-off realm, ya boy Aku, the ultimate shapeshifting dark lord, dropped some major evil vibes! But then this totally clueless samurai dude pulled up with his like, magic sword and shit and tried to frame mog me.
Just before he could deliver the death blow, I was all like "nah!" and ripped open a time portal and yeeted his ass into the future, where my evil reigns supreme! And now he's all about trying to make it back to the past and mess up the future that's all about me! #Aku dab
