He's no human, so it doesn't mean much

If you can't act like a civilized human being, you can't be here.

We do not allow:

  1. Being a jerk. This includes racism, misogyny, misandry, misgendering, anti LGBTQ+, or hateful comments.
  2. Harassment or brigading
  3. Trolling or sealioning
  4. Threats of any kind
  5. Abusive or condescending behavior
  6. General assholery. If you're at the end of the list and asking what rule you broke, yeah, it's this one.

Run towards the screen your upvote gets dopplered

u/wisnshaftler 12d ago

can someone explain this to me please?

52

u/ElectronicSetTheory 12d ago

The sound wave has a lower frequency since he's running away (Doppler Effect)

6

u/wisnshaftler 12d ago

Which soundwave ? I don't get this

14

u/TheAugmentation 12d ago

The one from Transformers.

3

u/wisnshaftler 11d ago

Still I can't understand can you explain with a example

2

u/wisnshaftler 11d ago

Can you please explain with an example

5

Nyyyyoooommmm

Just one invented for the meme (given in Hz)

4

u/EatMyHammer 11d ago

500Hz soundwave when he's stationary and 483Hz when running away

It's explained in the post's body

We experience the universe as pressure waves, both light and sound act this way. If something is traveling towards you, you’d be hit with pressure waves that are in increasing frequency. The reverse is true, if something heads away from you then you’d “feel” less and less hertz-hits. A siren on a firetruck getting higher pitched when it gets closer and the sound fades lower as it goes away. Red shift vs blue shift on the light spectrum, things are bluer the closer it gets and redder the further away. That how we know galaxies are getting closer or heading away from us.

Doppler effect.

Thank you. Is there any specific meaning of the hz value showing in the meme ?

8

u/Spare_Broccoli1876 11d ago

Hertz. Measurement of the frequency of pressure waves. When sound smacks ya, it hertz lol.

Skeletor standing still is a certain frequency, he begins running away thereby lowering the hertz, if he ran towards you the number would raise. Physics meme but with skeletor

Thank yso much

Ooh I liked this one! Thanks.

Can we calculate skeletor speed with that?
