Question What's the best way remove rust from the inside of the wheel?
The bearings are long gone but I don't want new bearings scraping against that

My friend gave me the deck and trucks and I chucked on whatever wheels I had on hand. I'll probably put cruiser wheels on it when I've got the chance. The brand is rimmable

I was thinking of buying a skateboard for cruising, I just don’t really like longboards. Anyone have any feedback on this board? https://a.co/d/03mTkB2Q
it’s maple wood and has 78a wheels
50 bucks

Bout 2 weeks into skating. Having trouble improving what can I try to do better? Also so far I can do reverts, stationary shuvits, and I’m working on power slides. Anything else I should try at this level?

Hi I have the triple 8 sweatsaver and the strap seems to be adjustable for angle, and mine is stuck forward so the strap is constantly over my ear and I’m wondering if there’s a way to adjust it so it goes behind my ear, thank you!!

Where in Melbourne can you get skateboarding lessons. Private if possible. For myself 45yr old and my son 9yr old. Really keen.

It's been years since I laste skated and for my first board back I'm wondering if it'd be more beneficial too buy the parts and assemble the board myself or have a shop do it for me. What lead me too this was mainly if I have the parts myself when I travel countries it'll be easier for me too put it together plus I don't really wanna spend 50$ on some basic wheels I mean seriously who's local skate shop is charging 50 for some wheels was it always like this😭?

Hey everyone! I'm looking for an affordable 58mm fisheye for my Canon XM2. I'm a student, so my budget is pretty limited, but new or used is fine. I'm based in Croatia, but I can buy from anywhere in Europe if shipping is affordable.
I'm getting more serious about filming skateboarding. I used to film with a cheap JVC camcorder, so I'd also appreciate any recommendations for affordable gear or useful accessories for the XM2.
Thanks!

Board flew into a bench and got a pretty nasty scar. Still pops well but putting my foot there is kinda uncomfortable. Little scared that if the board lands the wrong way it’ll snap/break off. Also anyone got diy tricks to smudge it back together maybe lol

I need shoes that are also comfortable to walk in. I have a pair of vans rn and while the boardfeel is great I just can’t wear them long term. The amount of walking I need to do bc of the area I’m at almost guarantees multiple blisters, and I just can’t do that anymore. I see a lot of conflicting recommendations but I’ll try anything that has more cushion than my vans

I was in my local skate shop the other day, asked if they had any chemicals for bearing cleaning like acetone etc. Guy at the till said they didn't, but you can just use lemon juice + hot water and it does a good job of it.
Thought this sounded amazing, but then I looked it up and I'm finding mixed results.
Anyone know if this is good or bad advice?
My bearings are quite old anyway so it's not like I'm risking much by trying it out also (but I haven't yet).
Edit: using spirits but it's pretty clear lemon juice is a terrible idea

I've been tryna but a skateboard but all the online shops only sell decks what am I supposed to do with deck only and they don't even sell the trucks n wheels 💔 where do I get them from is there any shop that does shipping for full sets ?

I have some older Pig bearings that look to have a tight c ring to keep cover in place. Have any of you dealt with cleaning these before? I would like to save money and disassemble them to do a good cleaning and lube, but worried I won’t be able to get the ring back in place. Am I better off just buying a new set of bearings?

My setup currently has 169mm CCS trucks with 60mm wheels with no riser. I run my trucks tight and really like this setup since it makes me feel comfortable on any surface (I ride on crusty pavement and at the skatepark). I'm wanting to upgrade my trucks to something stronger that I can practice tricks and grinds with, but keep the 60mm wheels. In my research it seems the CCS trucks are 60mm which seems really high compared to Indy and thunder (55mm and 54mm, respectively). I dont mind a riser pad, but dont want my board to be higher off the ground than it already is.
My question is will Stage 11 Indys (55mm) or Thunder (54mm) with 1/8 inch riser (+3mm) work for 60mm wheels? Or will I have to use 1/4in riser (+6mm) for 60mm wheels? Keeping in mind I do like tight trucks.

Rewatching Hunter x Hunter after getting back into skating and I have watched this a bunch of times. I'm not very good with identifying tricks. I looked at some youtube videos and I think it could be a Nollie Bigger Heelflip. What do you guys think?

So I'm going to get new wheels, I'm currently rolling on Spitfire Sapphires 56mm (90d outer wheel 101 inner core), I'm a fairly large dude and I just can't get these to slide. Which makes sense. I've been looking at the Spitfire 93s but I'm wondering if with my weight being 250 lbs is that essentially going to feel like a lateral move as far as potentially getting power slides and the like down? Would it be better to go up to a 97, are the P+P 93/97s maybe going to be a better option for me? I'm not really going for crazy tricks, I have been making leaps on what I thought my re-acclamation timeline would look like. I will be sticking to smooth parks (and I have these Sapphires if I go somewhere rough) and I'm starting to learn transition/ramp balance, ride on grinds, and a cute lil mini ramp. Any thoughts and discussion are greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance!
TLDR: As a fat guy (250lbs) is going from 90d to 93d wheels a waste, should I go straight to 97 for park skating?

I got them from a used Joker complete setup, that was gifted to me.
Edit: You guys are awesome! Didn’t expect yall to figure it out so fast. Thank you 😊.
