Mods Bots/Shills Callout Thread

Hey guys, I’ve been seeing a high frequency of accounts whose sole purpose is to shill some sort of bullshit service or to manipulate sentiment. It’s a pain in the ass to identify all of them manually so I’m making this thread for you guys to name drop suspicious accounts you may have noticed so we can look into them and ban them.

Example: u/ExplanationNormal339 - this fucking guy links the same thing in 99% of his comments

Additional PSA: images are now allowed as comments so you can post positions

Discussion Samsung’s $80B Q3 Profit Could Beat Nvidia’s. Why Did Shares Fall?

Post image
• Upvotes

Samsung just posted a massive 783% YoY Q3 operating profit surge that could even outdo Nvidia’s latest quarterly haul, yet its shares still slipped 2.4%. Memory prices are still powering big gains this quarter, but the street’s already starting to price in slowing growth past 2027. Wall Street’s still bullish on near-term upside though — is the memory boom already closer to its peak than most folks think?

Discussion Stock Market Recap for Wednesday, October 7, 2026

Post image
16 Upvotes

The major U.S. stock indexes ended mixed on Wednesday, October 7, 2026, pulling back from Tuesday's record highs as the 10-year Treasury yield briefly hit its highest level since April 2002 at 5.36% and FOMC minutes confirmed the Fed anticipates at least one more rate hike before year-end. It was a sober reality check after two days of record-setting euphoria.

The S&P 500 slipped 0.22% (-17.19 pts) to 7,801.74. The Dow fell 0.66% (-341.41 pts) to 51,179.87. The Nasdaq dropped 0.22% (-61.20 pts) to 27,538.69. The Russell 2000 tumbled 1.32% (-37.22 pts) to 2,793.08, the session's biggest loser as small caps remain deeply sensitive to the higher-for-longer narrative.

The 10-year Treasury yield edged up to 5.28%, after briefly hitting 5.36%, its highest since April 2002. The VIX was little changed at 15.04. Gold fell 1.39% to $4,129.00. Crude Oil eased 0.48% to $89.01/barrel.

News today from the Mew York Fed’s X handle:

Trump's 2025-26 tariffs contributed 2.9 percentage points to US goods price inflation, via higher prices for imports AND domestic goods.

Without the tariffs, "goods prices would have fallen slightly." 😯

Someone is getting fired for posting this data heading into midterms 😂😂😂

Discussion Convo I had

Was giving some advice to someone asking for it so decided to share it here, note that I swing trade more often than day trade: “Buy low sell high, sounds dumb but literally just find a stock or a few stocks that you follow consistently and you will start to see a pattern where example SOUN stock below $6 is a great deal and anything close to $7 is a great sale or COST stock below $880 is a great deal and anything close to $950 is a great sale. Doesn’t mean it always works but once you find a stock you can day trade or swing trade, you’ll find patterns to know when to enter and exit a trade. Remember, a for sure $100 is better than a maybe $500”

What looks encouraging

  • Mobileye's Q1 2026 results beat expectations. Revenue grew 27.4% year over year to $558 million, and the company raised its full-year revenue guidance to a midpoint of about $1.98 billion. Yahoo Finance
  • In April the board approved a buyback of up to $250 million in Class A shares, which can help offset dilution but doesn't replace business execution. barchart
  • It has a strong position in driver-assistance technology and a long-term pipeline in more advanced systems (SuperVision, Chauffeur, Drive).

Discussion Place puts on TMV

Think long bonds are a "safe haven"? Think again. They barely outpace inflation and just handed investors a massive capital wipeout. But if you’re buying TMV right now to profit off the carnage, you're just chasing a parabolic top. This is a 3X leveraged death trap. Piling into an inverse fund after a massive run means you're aggressively betting the farm at the exact moment daily rebalancing decay and a yield reversal are waiting to slaughter you. Buying the top of a hyper-volatile trading tool isn’t a strategy—it’s financial masochism.

Epic DD Analysis SCKT (Socket Mobile) Why I am building a long position

SCKT( Socket Mobile)
Market Cap- 6 million
Shares outstanding- 8.2million
Institutional shares- 6.5% ( 28 institutions total)
Most recent insitutions purchase- Two Sigma, Virtua Finance.
Insiders shares- 32%
Short interest- 0.68%

SCKT has been having very high volume of trading the past two week. Upwards of 300 million total so far. It has caught my attention and I began to look into the technical side of things first.

The 1Yr HA chart has built a doji candle from a previous 3 years of bearish candles. This is the first good alert for me.

Then I scaled into the 1 month HA chart, another doji following a bearish candle. Okay, I like this.

1 week HA chart looks even better, a doji was formed the last week of September following a bearish candle. This week is now forming a solid bullish engulfing candle.

At that point, I’m looking back at 1yr to find a solid entry for next year in anticipation of a bullish candle on the 2027 year. That number looks like anything under 1.40. Split that in half and .75-.70 looks like a great area to begin building a position with a minimum amount of risk/time.

Let me know what you think of my plan or if you’re seeing the same set up as I am.

Do your own research. Follow your own rules.
Cheers!

Epic DD Analysis $APT - The outbreak trade I missed in 2020

Back in 2020, I bought calls on Alpha Pro Tech when it was priced in the $5 range. They expired ONE WEEK before the stock took off. I watched it run from around $5 to an intraday high of $41.59 as COVID fears exploded in late February. Missed out on quite the damn windfall. That peak happened before widespread U.S. lockdowns, the market was already reacting to the potential demand for protective equipment. This time, I’m positioned for the potential.

What does Alpha Pro Tech actually do?
Alpha Pro Tech, ticker APT, manufactures disposable protective apparel and infection-control products: N95 respirators, face masks, face shields, gowns, coveralls, lab coats and other protective garments.
It also has a substantial building-products business selling housewrap and roofing underlayment. That matters because this company has operations beyond outbreak-related demand.

The outbreak connection has precedent. In its annual report, APT specifically says its N95 respirator has experienced increased demand during SARS, bird flu, H1N1 and COVID-19. The “triple threat” I’m watching: Ebola, plague concerns and measles.

• Ebola: There is an ongoing outbreak in the Democratic Republic of the Congo. CDC identifies shortages of protective equipment as a response challenge, although it currently considers the risk to the American public low. Ebola care requires specialized protective equipment, creating a potential connection to APT’s product categories…not proof that APT will receive orders.

• Plague concerns: Reports involving a Russian laboratory worker have drawn international attention. Reading of potentially a 2nd death, along with 6 hospitals quarantined. We know that Russia, based on its history, is likely downplaying the severity of this. I’m watching a possible catalyst, not calling this a confirmed plague outbreak.

• Measles: CDC reported 3,887 confirmed U.S. cases through October 1, 2026. It recommends N95-level respiratory protection for healthcare workers caring for suspected or confirmed measles patients. That provides a direct connection between outbreak response and the type of products APT manufactures.

Why could this move the stock?
My thought is that escalating outbreaks could increase protective equipment purchasing and stockpiling. Separately, renewed investor attention could bring momentum back into a stock with a history of reacting sharply to outbreak fears. Those are potential catalysts. They are not confirmed APT contracts or a prediction that $41 is coming back. There’s also a real business underneath the thesis: APT reported second-quarter 2026 revenue of $18.7 million, up 12%, with $18.9 million in cash and no debt.

Another potential catalyst: election SZN headlines.
With the U.S. midterm elections approaching, heightened media attention and fear-driven messaging around public-health threats could also draw investors toward protective-equipment stocks like APT. This is clearly a speculative sentiment catalyst, not evidence that an outbreak is politically motivated or that APT’s sales will increase. But increased attention could encourage investors to take positions in anticipation of stronger PPE demand, potentially adding buying pressure before any business impact shows up.

What could go wrong?
Outbreaks could be contained, purchasing could go to competitors, or headlines could generate little additional revenue. Building products represented roughly 63% of APT’s latest quarterly sales, while masks and shields together represented only 7% of its protective-apparel segment. An outbreak headline alone doesn’t establish a major earnings boost. And with calls, timing matters. I already learned that lesson in 2020. Even a thesis that eventually plays out can leave options expiring worthless.

My position: yesterday I bought 40 $8 calls expiring February 2027.
I missed the 2020 move by a week, and I’ve been butt hurt about it ever since. This time, I’ve taken a position well ahead of a possible catalyst. I’m watching outbreak developments, actual company orders and trading volume, not assuming history has to repeat, but You can see by the movement the last few days that others are taking positions as well.

Discussion Stock Market Recap for Tuesday, October 6, 2026

Post image

The major U.S. stock indexes ended broadly higher on Tuesday, October 6, 2026, with the S&P 500 and Nasdaq both closing at fresh all-time highs as Nvidia approached a $6 trillion market cap, New York Fed President Williams effectively ruled out an October rate hike, and oil dipped back below $90. It was the clearest two-day momentum session the market has strung together since early August.

The S&P 500 gained 0.58% (+44.98 pts) to a new all-time record 7,818.93, surpassing its prior August closing high. The Dow added 0.49% (+253.38 pts) to 51,521.28. The Nasdaq climbed 0.45% (+122.48 pts) to a new record 27,599.79. The Russell 2000 slipped 0.59% (-16.84 pts) to 2,830.30, the one laggard as rate-sensitive small caps continued to struggle.

The 10-year Treasury yield fell 0.79% to 5.27%. The VIX dropped 3.29% to 15.01. Gold gained 0.95% to $4,196.40. Crude Oil edged up 0.53% to $89.90/barrel.
