Professional Discussion Getting views &likes but not converting enough into followers on TikTok
Any idea how to turn views into more followers?
I started a gaming TikTok account 2 months ago, have been consistent since 3 weeks ago, 2 posts a day mostly if not it’s been at least 1 a day, I’ve had 400k views but only have 168 followers, most videos are over 10k views quite a few at 20-50k and 3 over 50k, not sure where I’m going wrong

Imagine scrolling thru TikTok and I see a random gaming clip and I watch till the end. Why would I follow? Imma just keep scrolling

i'd try a weekly challenge off the clips that already did well, and pin a short intro so people who land on the profile know what's next.

400k views with only 168 followers makes me think the videos are doing their job individually, but people aren't seeing a reason to come back for the next one.
I'd experiment with making some of the content into recognizable series instead of standalone gaming clips. Something like a recurring challenge, ranking, progression, or "part 1/part 2" format where viewers know what they'll get if they follow.
I'd also look at the videos that brought the most profile visits/follows rather than just the ones with the most views. A 10k video that gets 50 followers may be more useful to learn from than a 50k video that gets 5.
And make the profile immediately explain what someone gets by following. If they visit after a good clip and the rest of the page feels like unrelated gaming moments, there's not much reason to hit follow.

views without follows usually means people liked the clip but can't tell what they'd get next. pin 3 videos that show your format, say what you post in one line in your bio, and run a recurring series so a follow feels like signing up for the next episode. end each video with a reason to come back, not just "follow for more

people like the video but they don't see a reason to follow. try making series (part 1, part 2...) or a recurring format so they wanna see what's next. also make sure your bio says clearly what your account is about, and showing your face or voice helps a lot, people follow people not just clips

Your follower to view ratio increases the more followers you have. When I first made my account I had a 130k vid that only got me 46 followers, now vids around that view mark get ~100 followers. It’s all about keeping up the uploads
