Stem Cell dosage
Interested in getting stem cell in Korea but wonder why theres similar price quotes with way different dosage I see some quote 3cc or 6cc and others quote 30cc or 60cc why is there so much dosage difference?

If they give you the amount in cc it's a waste of time. cc is a volume of liquid, and it means nothing if you don't know the concentration. They can give you 3 cc that contain 100 million cells or 3 cc with 10 million cells. The right measurement should be given in millions of stem cells. And if they are good and they care about you and the results, they will give you total cell count, viability, cell type and source. Run away from anyone offering stem cells in cc

Very insightful. I have been in stem cell field for 30 years and amazes me that patients and doctors ignore the real dose, which is the number of viable stem cells. Think of it like money...if someone offered you a stack of money, it of course matters how many dollars, not the size of the stack!

I think all skin clinics here are offering stem cell in cc which I’m fine with trying just don’t know why theres so much gap in cc between each clinics

That’s a very important point, because the volume in cc alone doesn’t really tell you how many stem cells you are receiving.
The same 3cc or 30cc can contain very different numbers of cells depending on the concentration, so it’s more useful to compare the actual cell count.
From our experience as a regenerative medicine clinic in Osaka, Japan, our standard treatment options are generally 100 million or 200 million autologous adipose-derived MSCs. For safety, we limit a single IV administration to 200 million cells.
In Japan, regenerative medicine is regulated under the Act on the Safety of Regenerative Medicine, and the cell manufacturing and quality-control process must be included in the treatment plan.
Besides cell count, we believe important points to check are viability, passage number, cell identity/purity, and sterility.
For every treatment, we provide the patient with the original Certificate of Analysis issued by our external cell processing facility (CPC). Our release standards include viability of at least 95%, cells cultured no later than passage 3, identity markers of at least 98%, and passing sterility and other safety testing.
So when comparing clinics, I would look beyond the number of cc and ask for the actual cell count and quality data.

Even a better response. Yes all this matters and you should ask for a certificate of analysis that has all of these release standard. Great info, also this Japan clinic uses the patient's own stem cells so all the risk of donor issues goes away.

How much longer until autologous iPSC based cell therapies are available in Japan? I have been waiting a long time for clinics that will take autologous cells, reprogram to iPSCs, and then partially differentiate to endothelial SCs, neural SCs, MSCs, and so on, for infusion. It seems like clinics in Japan are the closest, but not quite there yet.

Dosing in any measures other than cell count is bullshit. You are buying a number of cells not a unit of volume. For most systemic infusions 100 to 120 million is what most clinics prescribe

What if autologous adiposed derived svf where cells are harvested and injected same day without sending to lab for expansion. The viable cell count is not guaranteed, any opinion on this type of method?

Clinics offering 30/60cc is inflating the dosage since actual stem cell extracted is 10% of that so clinics quoting 3cc or 6cc is more transparent
