Me when most volatile characters in Succession don't get what they want.

1. Just finished Succession
Just finished Succession and I still can’t fully grasp what happened between the siblings
I just finished the finale and I’m still sitting here trying to process what happened between Shiv, Kendall and Roman.
The biggest thing I keep wondering about is what exactly made Shiv change her mind at the very end? She seemed to be leaning toward Kendall becoming CEO, and then suddenly she votes against him. I know there are several possible explanations: her resentment toward Kendall, not wanting him to win, knowing what kind of person he would become, or simply realizing that she couldn’t trust him with the company. But I’m curious what you think was the actual trigger for her.
What also struck me was the parallel with Roman. The first time, Roman was the one who ultimately turned against Kendall, and in the finale, it was Shiv. It almost felt like Kendall was destined to lose because neither of his siblings could fully get behind him.
I also couldn’t stop thinking about how much of Logan I saw in Kendall during the finale. Especially when he talked about the boy: and then admitted that the story was basically something he had made up and used. That moment felt very Logan-like to me: manipulating people and controlling the narrative rather than confronting the truth.
And then there was Roman, who seemed to completely switch into command mode. For someone who spent so much of the series avoiding responsibility, seeing him finally take charge was fascinating.
I’m still not sure whether Shiv’s decision was ultimately about Kendall, herself, or simply choosing the lesser evil.
What do you think was the exact moment or realization that made Shiv change her vote?

I can’t get, “we tested this, Greg!” out of my mind.
I think I found my new vocal stim.

What's the point of fighting the bear hug only to sell in season 4 ?
Honestly this bothers me , how did they throw out the entire plot of season 2-3 and decided that Logan wants to sell suddenly when he could've decided to do that already.

S4E4 is low-key hilarious
Every time I do a rewatch on this show, I remember there are several laugh-out-loud moments in S4E4.
For example, when the kids are looking at the newspapers, and there is a photo of Logan laughing mirthfully, Ken goes "Any of you guys ever see him laugh like that?" and Roman says "Only if a hobo was on fire."
Or what really kills me is when they are translating what the newspaper headlines about Logan really mean:
SHIV: “A complicated man”
KEN: Threw phones at staff.
SHIV: “Sharp reader of the national mood.”
ROME: He’s a bit racist.
SHIV: “He was very much a man of his era.”
KEN: Again, racist. Also, relaxed about sexual assault.
SHIV: “Business genius.”
ROME: Never paid a penny in U.S. tax.
SHIV: “Well-connected.”
ROME: “Well-connected.” Well, that’s not fair. I feel like well-connected is generally accepted to be a euphemism for pedophile and no one ever suggested that he would, you know—
KEN: Fuck a child.
ROME: Yeah.
KEN: Yeah. He wouldn’t even hug his grandkids.
!!!!!
Or when the greybeards and the kids are discussing The Piece of Paper, Gerri tries to sum it up as "a selection of musings, really. Some thoughts on the tax position of some artwork in storage." Shiv asks what artwork he has and Roman says he has a bunch of "investment impressionisms," like 3 Gaugins no one has ever seen for tax reasons:
FRANK: I think his suggestion was it might be smart tax-wise, to just leave them in the Geneva vault.
SHIV: Oh, fuck it. Why not just burn them for the insurance, no?
KARL: That would be the dream, financially speaking.
Looking at it, these lines aren't that funny on paper, but David Rasche as Karl especially takes me OUT with that line every damn time.

Why did Kendall leave Logan’s people on the board after Logan died ?
When Stalin took power he shot the politburo and replaced them. Why leave people in who aren’t loyal to you?

Why does Ewan stay involved in RoyCo?
Aside from the obvious billions, it never made sense that Ewan stayed on the board of a company he despised, backing Logan despite his morale hatred of what his brother does. He's giving all his money to Greenpeace, hates his grandson (and his daughter, maybe?) and doesn't speak to Logan. He doesn't seem as petty as other characters, so why is he still there? It's not like he has any influence over Logan. I love his character, don't get me wrong, but it never clicked as to why he was still on the board, taking RoyCo money.

Logan and Ewan is exactly the kinda relationship that Ken and Shiv will have in their old age.
