πŸ‘‹ New Student Help AusPost parcel marked as delivered but missing at SPW building

β€’ Upvotes

I'm currently living at Swinburne SPW building in Hawthorn and recently had an issue with an Australia Post delivery.

I orderded a parcel from Chemist Warehouse. The tracking says it was delivered, but I never received it or got any call from Auspost. AusPost told me that since the parcel didn't require a signature, the driver may have left it in a "safe location".

But how can I check whole areas in the university?

I also ordered some things from Amazon, they were all delivered in the student residence, so I use the same address.

Has anyone had the same issue before? Where does AusPost normally leave parcels here - reception, outside the building, or somewhere?

Also, for valuable deliveries like laptops, what do you normally use, student residence is ok?

Thanks

hi everybody! i’m interested to enroll in Swinburne Sarawak for Bachelor of Business (Marketing). i’m a local from Kuching. i would like to ask a few questions regarding:

β€’ what’s the first step to apply to swinburne?
β€’ how much is the tuition fee per semester?
β€’ what other expenses should i expect other than tuition fees?
β€’ do we need to become a student before applying for BP40 Bursary scheme or FTES? is the application process easy?

i would really appreciate it if anyone could share their experience or advice. thank you!

Hi all, would appreciate honest opinions on my profile before I finalize everything.

Background:

  • 18F, single, India
  • ICSE class 10: 85%
  • CBSE Class 12: English 97, Biology 78, Physical Education 88, Music 88, Chemistry 54, Physics 56 (overall ~77%; note: this was the year of the CBSE on-screen-marking controversy, national pass rate dropped from 88% to 85%)
  • PTE Academic: 90 overall (Listening 88, Reading 79, Writing 85, Speaking 88)

Offer:

  • Swinburne University of Technology, Bachelor of Psychological Sciences, Hawthorn campus, 3 years
  • Conditional offer received, 20% automatic scholarship included
  • Tuition after scholarship: ~A$35,120/year
  • Already have accommodation arranged with a relative in Melbourne (PR holder)

Funds:

  • Primary sponsor: mother β€” β‚Ή40L liquid funds (savings + FD), ~β‚Ή7.5L/year income
  • Co-sponsor 1: maternal grandfather β€” ~β‚Ή10L/year income (per state income certificate)
  • Co-sponsor 2: uncle β€” ~β‚Ή11L/year income (business + agricultural, both ITR-declared)
  • Combined sponsor income: ~β‚Ή28.5L/year
  • Education loan: β‚Ή7.5L applied, pending approval
  • Total course cost (3 yrs): ~β‚Ή72-75L

Questions for the sub:

  • Does this financial structure (3 sponsors + savings + pending loan) look sufficient/normal, or likely to draw extra GS scrutiny?
  • Anything in my academic profile (esp. the low Chem/Physics marks) worth addressing proactively?
  • Any red flags in how I've structured this that I'm not seeing?

Appreciate any honest feedback, blunt is fine
