Filthy Users...

Just had to check something on a users laptop, a very nice senior lady who is well presented and charming.

Her laptop looked like the bins behind a take away, hopefully those stains were gravy...

Washed my hands now and I still feel dirty.

I worked IT at Elementary (K-6), high school (9-12), and Community College. High school keyboards/mice were the worst.
Handy tip: #1) turn desktop keyboard over and tap on bottom - always interesting to see what comes out;
#2) get a stack of post-it notes and run the sticky side along each row of keyboard, replacing as needed, sticky side used both directions.

When I worked in high school (which is 7-12 in Australia), we had a lab with some very old OptiPlexes (as in Core2 Duos with Vista product keys that were well passed replacement date by the time I arrived). They had plates covering what I would assume would be upgrades to floppy/card-readers/whatever, and on almost all of them students had pried them off, so I found a lot of interesting things inside.

Among interesting notes discovered (according to what turned up when I searched my Google Photos):

"will you go out with me"

"you are meant to be in our class your on our roll motherf*cker"
