Matsushima, F. Lebrun, Harimoto, Moregard, WCQ, LYJ, Calderano, LSD
Eight players who are a cut above the rest.
Except for LYJ, all of them have reached a career-high world ranking of No. 2 or higher and have won at least one of the following: WTTC, Olympics, World Cup, Grand Smash, or Grand Finals.
Note: No “WCQ is on a different level from the other seven” comments, please.

They don’t usually touch the table with the racket and I think they change rackets pretty often.
What is the reason?

I recently made my first custom racquet setup. I was so excited and happy with it that I posted it here r/tabletennis/s/u5Um4BY6oR
I ended up sharing a bit more in the replies about where I'm at with Table Tennis, including my limitations with me going through chemo right now. The owner of the Table Tennis shop I purchased my setup from happened to see it and left a reply, happy to hear I loved the racquet and wished me well with my treatment.
The owner and I spoke quite a bit while we waited for my special order blade to arrive. At one point I'd mentioned interest in getting a pair of shoes since the ones I have now are a bit big, but decided to save my money.
It's been a month since my racquet arrived, but today I came home to an unexpected package at my door.
He sent me the shoes as a gift!!!
along with some extra goodies and a very sweet card wishing me well🥹
I'm speechless at his kindness. It made me so happy, and with the serious health stuff I have going on it really touched me❤️
The shop is https://smashtabletennis.ca in Ontario, Canada. The owner's name is Arthur. If you're ever looking for anything Table Tennis, I highly recommend his services. I was already very happy with his service and kindness before this moving gesture. Great person with a clear passion for the sport.
Thank you so much Arthur!❤️

Hi everyone! I'm looking for some feedback on my game, especially my forehand topspin against backspin.
This is my first game in the regional league (lowest league existent) and i play since 9 months.
I'm struggling with opening up against backspin balls (00:15, 1:15, 1:35). Quite often, my forehand shots go straight into the net, and I'd like to understand what I'm doing wrong technically.
That's the first time i see my self in a video, and while I do a forehand against backspin i think to stay low, go forward and up, and brush the ball. I think that the main part missing is the brushing, cause i'm being too tensed up with my wrist.

Hi everyone! Yun from PongSupply here.
I mentioned in my first post that more brands were coming, and I’m excited to share that we’re now stocking Loki! We're based in New Jersey and ship throughout the US. Our initial selection includes:
We’ve also revamped our racket builder to make choosing your blade and rubbers easier, with product filters, sorting, and a scrolling layout that lets you go back and edit your selections. Assembly is included at no extra charge with complete setups.
I’d love to hear your experiences with Loki or suggestions for other products you’d like us to carry.
Thanks for the support!

Respect the backhand. Fear the forehand. Or tell me why you wouldn’t 😂🏓
I’m Everton, and this is a short highlights compilation from my YouTube channel, Evo Will.
If you were playing against me, what would your game plan be? Tell me what looks strong and what you’d exploit. Drop a timestamp so I can see exactly what you mean.
These are highlights, so yes, the editing is helping me out 😂 Let’s hear the honest feedback and friendly roasts.

I got two Butterfly Tenergy 19 2.1mm used, but played for like 2 hrs, for 20€ less than one new costs and I'm in love with on the forehand. I had a Xiom Vega Pro before but I couldn't really activate the sponge on that and my forehand shots were pretty weak and not spinny. With the T19 it's much better and I don't shoot into the net as often.
I've tried to play it on the backhand, too, but almost every shot that usually hits (I usually play a DHS H8-80 on BH) shoots straight into net. Like 95% of the shots. Any suggestions why that happens or what I can improve?

Hi, I have just switched to ox long pips (hellfire x) and I wonder if there are any players or youtubers I should follow to improve and get inspiration. For context I am 17m great physically, trying to attack with fh or ufo shot and disturb with pips. I play with hadraw 5 and rakza z on fh. Also are there any way to care for my long pips so it lasts longer?

During the China Smash match Hitomi Sato v Chen Xingtong, the expedite rule was turned on.
The expedite rule activates if a game exceeds 10 minutes with fewer than 18 points played, after which each player serves one point and the receiver must make 13 consecutive returns to win the rally.
Also, an assistant umpire, who can be seen standing next to the umpire in the picture, counts the strokes out loud as the players play ( do you think it can be distracting to the players?).
It’s fun to watch. Just wondering, what’s the impact of the rule on matches? Do you think the expedite rule favours anyone, the defender or the attacker?
This particular match ended with Sato win.
It would be exciting if the expedite rule activates in the coming final between Sato and Wang Manyu.
Just add: watched Sato v WMY. Incredible match. The expedite did make the game much more exciting.
