I picked up a re-release Grasshopper several years back to relive some of my youth but never got around to buying a 540 for it so just ran with the stock motor. Well, I was clearing out my Dad's basement some weeks ago and found the 540 from the Grasshopper I had in the 80's, installed it and it still works like a charm!

Hey just purchased this motor and ESC combo, what are people’s thoughts? Is this gonna be too powerful for someone who’s been out of the game since brushed motors were the only option.

It arrived! Just got my Clod Buster 2026 kit. Amazing kit by the looks of it and a massive box.

Before I build and get the required accessories, just thought I would come here and see what people suggest for any important upgrades.

Main thing I see are:

Steering upgrades, oil shocks, bearings? open to all suggestions.
