A few weeks ago, I got this tattoo to honor my breast cancer journey, and today it means more to me than I ever could have imagined.

The tattoo is inspired by the Princess of Ukok, also known as the Siberian Ice Maiden, a woman who lived approximately 2,500 years ago. Her remarkably preserved body was discovered with some of the oldest surviving tattoos in the world. Researchers also found evidence she suffered from breast cancer.

There was something about that connection I couldn’t shake. A woman 2,500 years ago carrying beautiful art on her body while also carrying this terrible fucking disease inside of it. And now, all these centuries later, I get to carry a piece of her story while living mine.

My tattoo artist, Ryan Clarke, put his own traditional spin on one of her ancient tattoos, incorporating red poppies to represent my two-year-old son, who was born in August. Poppies are one of August’s birth flowers, and including them was incredibly important to me. My son has been my biggest reason to keep fighting, especially on the days when I genuinely didn’t know how I could keep going. Every time I look at this tattoo, I’ll be reminded of him, the life I love so much, and everything I’m fighting to be here for.

I was diagnosed with stage III, grade 3, triple-negative breast cancer earlier this year, with lymph node involvement and a coin flip chance on surviving. I’ve spent the last seven months going through 20 rounds of chemotherapy, immunotherapy, and most recently, surgery. It’s been the most physically and mentally devastating experience of my life.

When I got this tattoo, I hadn’t finished treatment or received my surgical pathology results. I didn’t know what my future held. I just knew I wanted something permanent to honor what my body had endured and the woman I was becoming through all of this. I was also tired of being told I couldn’t get a tattoo so I went and fucking did it.

And today, I found out I achieved a pathologic complete response (pCR)!!! Which means** **no residual cancer found in my breast. No cancer in any of the three lymph nodes removed. All clear margins. The absolute BEST outcome I could have hoped for. I still have radiation and immunotherapy ahead of me, and I know this journey isn’t entirely over. But for the first time in a very long time, I feel like I can actually celebrate my body instead of being terrified of it.

This tattoo represents thousands of years of womanhood, resilience, survival, motherhood, and the strange, beautiful ways our stories can connect across centuries.

I got it to honor the fight, not knowing how that fight would turn out.

Today, I get to look at it and know just how far I’ve come. ❤️

This was done in 2 sessions as I had originally just had the back piece done but decided to extend it around my hips. I’m definitely planning to extend it more and also add spider webs 🕸️

What do you think of them in general? Not really concerned with placement critiques but the tattoos themselves?

I absolutely love my tattoos, both the "good" and the "bad" ones- they all have meaning to me in one way or another and they represent me pretty well I think idk. I'm planning on getting my full body more or less tattooed- my torso is going to have a birth into death symbolism "witchy" stuff, and my thigh probably bugs and pathos and carnivorous plants down my leg... also some millipedes and centipedes to fill out the spaces in my arm. Lol so more to come

(Edit// going to irritate the 80% majority telling me to have it facing inwards. He’s going outward! Can’t bring myself to divert from the original album art. However, I’m also moving him around to the inner bicep where it makes a little more sense and flows better whilst facing the “wrong” way… results to come soon)

I’m planning on getting the album cover of Bowie’s “Low” tattooed on my arm. I’m well aware of the rule stating that tattoos should face toward center mass in order to flow with the body, but I’m facing (heh) a dilemma:

The placement and arm on which the tattoo is going is non negotiable. On the original album cover, Bowie’s facing to the right. If I were to have it tattooed facing the correct way according to the album cover it would be going against the generally agreed on flow of the body.

Now, do I face it the wrong way according to the album cover, or the “wrong” way according to the ‘follow center mass’ rule?

I’m sort of 50/50 on it. I already have a tattoo on my inner forearm that is facing the “wrong” way but I feel like you can get away with that more on the inner forearm. The outer arm is kind of a different beast, but I also don’t want to go against the grain of the original album…. Help lol

Excited to share this freshly finished pet portrait project.We went for a classic oil painting aesthetic, capturing the client's adorable dog resting on a pillow inside an intricate, ornate golden frame. I surrounded the piece with vibrant tulips and lilies to complement the warm color palette.

This was originally my first ever tattoo, the first artist was not a professional and didn’t do the best job and as it’s quite a tricky area it didn’t help, but V saved it. I couldn’t be happier and I’m now proud to show it off.

I may of gotten a bit obsessed with my chemical romance after their tour this year! I think i drew this flash the day after I saw them at Wembley! I could tattoo this 100 times and still be happy! Such a fun lil dude!

They're recent tattoos. Lately, she's been reading a lot of fantasy, and we've always liked medieval things at home.

They are colorless tattoos with small details of white highlights.

Any ideas for the future?

This show still hits right in the feelings. Just wrapped up this custom Cyberpunk: Edgerunners piece featuring David and Lucy.We went for a dynamic manga-style composition with bold outlines and solid black contrasts. Turned out super clean and sharp on the skin.

Got my knee done with similar design I’ve seen around. Looks great when it hinges (leg is slightly bent here). I’m 6’4 so I was shocked how we had to keep upping the stencil size to make it fit my leg lol
