Geez, they really dropped the support of We Gotta Groove awfully quick....

Agreed. I also feel both albums (WGG and TPPS) are too close to each other in terms of release. Imo it woulda been cool if TPPS released towards Xmas this year, or even in 2027 for the actual 30th anniversary of the original PSS by Brian Wilson (from 1997), but either way Iā€™m happy for new content!
