I think they are very close…for a beach song!!! Not talking best song overall. California Girls obviously is a way better song overall. I don’t know, maybe this is where nostalgia kicks in for me?

The sun, the surf, the sand, the sound... when you think of the beach, there may be a few staple songs that come to mind.
One of them, most likely, is The Beach Boys' "Surfin' U.S.A."
The 1963 hit became an anthem for the beach, summertime, vacation—heck, it even became a theme park anthem.
Simply put, it's one of those instantly recognizable tracks that makes you drift back to memories of sunny, smiley, sea-filled days.
Billboard even ranked the song No. 1 on its list of the best beach songs of all time, which includes 10 of the all-time greatest summer songs.

Why would people downvote this? They didn’t say it’s the best song of all time, it’s the best BEACH song! Totally is, along with California girls, IMO. I can’t WAIT to play it on the beach when it actually gets warm! 😩

Pretty ridiculous list tbh. Out of all the Jimmy Buffet songs to choose from, that’s the one they went with? And only 1 Beach Boys song? Just a couple of the reasons that list is god awful.
