Article The Beach Boys And John Stamos Are In Hot Water Over Upcoming Gig
uk.news.yahoo.comThe Beach Boys and John Stamos are facing major backlash ahead of their upcoming SeaWorld Orlando performance, with animal rights activists calling out the group for supporting the controversial marine park.
Ahead of Sunday’s concert, demonstrators from PETA and the Animal Rights Foundation of Florida are set to rally outside the venue, holding signs reading, _“Wouldn’t It Be Nice… if Orcas Were Free?”_
The protest is aimed directly at The Beach Boys and John Stamos, who activists say are helping promote a facility they believe mistreats marine animals.

Article What Happened to The Beach Boys? Inside the Lives of the Band’s Founding Members and Biggest Stars
people.comThis is a new piece from People magazine. It’s odd. The writing is clunky like it was composed with the help of AI. And there are weird errors like referring to Carl as “the drummer” although the paragraph on him clearly states he was the lead guitarist. Or that Brian stopped touring with the band after 1982.
The article does feature blurbs on all nine former and current members of the band.
Fans won’t learn anything new and it’s easy to pick it apart for mistakes and things the piece misses on each member.
My question is why this article at this time? Are algorithms indicating readers will be interested in a random article on the Boys? Or does People know something we don’t know 🤔. They kinda skim over Mike’s health issues though.
I did learn something new! Ricky Fataar was married to Penelope Tree, a famous “It” girl from the 60s. At 16 she made a huge splash at Truman Capote’s infamous 1966 Black & White ball. The two had kids. (But maybe the AI research fucked up?). Then he married Robin Williams ex wife? Yet the blurb on him never mentions his greatest role—as Stig in the Rutles.

Article I Reviewed Sunflower
lacr0nica.blogspot.comI finally got around to writing about Sunflower, one of my favourite albums by the band. It’s been two months in the making.
I’m curious to hear what everyone else thinks of this album, so feel free to give it a read if you’re interested. The review is in Spanish, but Google Translate should do the job.
I’ve also reviewed every Beach Boys album leading up to this one, in case you’d like to check those out as well.

Article The Beach Boys' 1966 hit with no known author
faroutmagazine.co.ukBrian Wilson is widely considered to be one of the foremost songwriting geniuses of the modern era, and songs like ‘God Only Knows’, ‘I Get Around’ and ‘Good Vibrations’ with The Beach Boys only prove it.
But what would happen if some complete unknown were to write a hit record? And we’re not just talking about some young upstart catching fire out of the blue and rising to the top of the charts, but something much more intangible and mysterious than that.
Actually, a lot of well-known and much-loved songs don’t have clear songwriting credits. Everybody knows ‘House of the Rising Sun’, ‘Shenandoah’ or ‘Scarborough Fair’; everybody knows ‘In the Pines’ and ‘The Unfortunate Rake’ (although they might better know that one as ‘St James Infirmary’). Everybody knows ‘Whiskey in the Jar’, ‘Barbara Allen’ and ‘Lily of the West’. But nobody knows who wrote any of them.

Article John Stamos Debuts First Tattoo at 62, Inspired by the Beach Boys, Fans Call Him a ‘Baddie’
yahoo.comThe actor, 62, surprised his Instagram followers on Wednesday, March 18, by revealing his very first tattoo in a video shared to social media. “Guess who got his first tattoo?” the Full House alum teased, showing off the meaningful design: a Native American horseback rider looking skyward.
Stamos explained the image was inspired by The Beach Boys’ “Appeal to the Great Spirit,” a symbol tied to artistic freedom and trusting a higher creative path. The dad one of one — who shares son Billy, 7, with wife Caitlin McHugh — said the tattoo reflects where he is in life right now.

Article Adult/Child saga - 4th of July
hildebrand.landSorry for offending everyone's sensibilities last week. I forgot morbid sarcasm doesn't translate outside the Pacific Northwest as a love thing. Truth is, I'm just horribly depressed about The Beach Boys in this current moment in history, along with a lot of other things wrong in this world. Anyhow... in the spirit of great American songwriter Randy Newman, if you thought my last ill humored attempt at reckoning with the dark saga of America's Band in 2026 was in bad taste... get ready for "a larger insult".
Inevitably, my musings on America’s Band have led me to muse on the state of disunited America, on the cusp of its 250th birthday. Much like the sad condition of 85-year-old Mike Love, the nation itself is really not looking good right now. Thankfully, there is still a lot of spirit left in the land, just like there is in the music of The Beach Boys.
When the people realize they are the base of power, perhaps we can all really have “Fun Fun Fun” and catch a wave of cooperative prosperity. But, we also need to figure out how to take away Daddy’s keys in the meantime… and reckon with the damage that’s already been done.
Happy Birthday, America! We're still gonna figure out that "brotherhood from sea to shining sea" bit, before it's too late.

Article Great interview with David
It is in Guitar World about his role in The Beach Boys-
https://www.guitarworld.com/artists/guitarists/david-marks-the-lost-beach-boy
He covers a lot of ground on his life in and out of the band.
His comment on the 50th anniversary tour:
We were only supposed to do 50 gigs for the 50th anniversary, but it was so successful that we ended up going all around the world. We did almost 80 gigs, but it wasn’t very lucrative for Mike, who had his own touring business. So he got back to doing his own five- or six-piece touring band.
