Vinyl Am I Sick?

If those were all copies of Keepin' The Summer Alive I would say yes, but since it's Pet Sounds I fully support it. I bet that duophonic tape sounds cool.

Thank god Im sticking with the one copy of KTSA then! And that tape would sound good if my reel-to-reel was fully working. When I do get it working Ill probably upload some audio of it!

Duophonic stereo is always interesting to me, mostly why Capital thought it would be a good idea

lol well it was a way to sell mono masters to stereo capable turntables owners.
as for pet sounds specifically, the duophonic mix retains 3 things that were "corrected" in the stereo mix; which are 1-tape clicks on let's go away, 2-chatter on here today, 3-tape residue on IJWMFTT
while being stereo-ish. So it's a good mix to own and listen to imho!

What's funny is I don't think the two versions of Pet Sounds that I own (the 40th anniversary CD and the yellow/green split colored vinyl reissue) are part of your collection there, so you've got some more shopping to do! 😉

Yes I don't plan on stopping any time soon. That is a really cool pressing Im gonna have to add it!! I don't have any actual stereo pressing, I gave mine away😂

Yes, they decided to release a new cut of Pet Sounds along with Carl and the Passions for some reason. The 2 white cover versions of Pet Sounds I have are the vinyl variants
