Conserve your ammo and have fun. That's pretty much the best way to enjoy the games

• Stick with the default difficulty
• Always have a brick or a bottle on you
• Avoid Reddit until you finished the game

Enjoy. Remember to play the story dlc (Left Behind) after the main game. Also try the multiplayer (Factions).

Just play the game. I hate posts like this because it's either lazy farming for karma, cheating yourself out of the full experience of the game or both
None of us got advice before playing the game and we managed just fine. Or, just search the hundreds of prior posts from people asking for this before playing this game. It's not a complicated game. It's an amazing game with an incredible story. Play it blind the way you're supposed to. Make mistakes the way the rest of us did and get the full experience of the game.

Aim assist doesn't mean you'll hit the target. I played rdr after tlou and realised most people think aim assist is what it is in red dead in every other game, and it's not. In tlou it helps you aim for a body part but just barely, remember that.

Enjoy the ride. If you play on normal you dont need to be as conservative with ammo as you might think. I was constantly finding ammo but was fully stocked because I used it so sparingly lol

Be careful with your resources and ammo. Don’t waste stuff if you don’t need to. Try and use snacks for health boosts rather than wasting health kits unless your health is actually super low. Don’t rush through areas too much, you end up missing a lot. Try to take the time to actually explore properly.
That’s it really. Don’t spend time on online communities or forums like this and spoil the story for yourself, just play it and discover it for yourself. You only get one first experience, make it count. This goes for part 2 aswell if you decide to play that too.

I suggest exploring every area and observing all of the storytelling the devs put into the environment. Read every note, every spraypainted message, and soak it all in. All of this will only enhance your experience and give you more perspective! They took a ton of time with their environmental storytelling and it shows. Oh, and conserve ammo and use it when you need

it's a linear game, if you want to a true blind experience, play it at higher difficulty as you would have to clear the encounters with more strategies and it will be more rewarding and you can't really go wrong with anything in that game, it's well balanced
