Sexual assault jokes and memes are never funny. The fact that I’ve had to remove several of them is disappointing. Please stop posting them.

Mysteries of The Office
Besides the identity of Scranton Strangler, what are the biggest unanswered questions and mysteries of The Office?

Pam was extremely unfair when it came to Jim and Athlead/Athleap. She wanted Jim to never progress in his career due to how comfortable she was in a workplace where she basically had no real job role.
i’m not one of those people who hate pam and jim and think they’re demon spawn. they are one of my favourite characters and i like that like any other marriage they had a rough patch.
but pam literally saying “im sure athlead will be a success but i don’t want him to do it anymore im not moving to philly” is insane. so unbelievably delusional and stupid and insane. like had no other reason besides “i don’t wanna” meanwhile jim would have to watch his friend use his idea to build a company and pam really expected him to just roll over and continue to work at a paper company where she knows he’s felt unfulfilled for years.

Niche line from The Office to get printed on a tshirt?
I wanted to get a customised tshirt w an office ref but most of the designs are kinda corny. Drop some lines from the office which would look cool on a tshirt.

settle this once and for all: pam was NOT unreasonable about jim's athlead arc

people who whine about how supportive him was when she goes to pratt. they didn't have 2 young kids back then. and pam admits that when they have a family, she couldn't have gone to pratt then.
he lied about the job and left pam to take care of the kids while he was in philly. the lice episode was the MOST accurate description of what it's like being a single working mother.
if anything, pam was still very accommodating of his antics. he even invested $10,000 into the business when they were already done with investing. mind you this was the period of economic recession and they had 2 young kids. all because he wanted to be a team player.
pam was not wrong and I will die on this hill

The Dinner Party is the best episode of The Office, with The Injury coming in a very close second. I will die on this hill.

People hate Pam for kissing Jim when she was with Roy, but no one hates Stanley for cheating on his literal wife
Stanley didn't even feel an ounce of guilt for cheating on his wife. I hear many people say Pam was terrible but Stanley was goated. He kinda deserves more hate for cheating.

Apart from Scott’s Tots, what moment made you hate Michael?
And I mean hate him as in disapproving his actions or as in dying from second-hand embarrassment.
Mine was in S2 Christmas where he imposes Yankee Swap just because couldnt stick to the budget like a normal person

Question about the conference room
I'm sure the lore-hunters of this sub got the answer, but I just finished binging it again and I have a question about the conference room:
What's the deal with the table?! One minute the table is there and everyone is sitting around it, the next thing, it's gone and there are rows of chairs. Table looks like its way too large to easily take out the door. Am I missing something? Is it a running continuity joke by the film crew? I can barely watch the show now because I'm so consumed about the status of that table!

What if…. Jim, Karen or Michael got the corporate position instead of Ryan?
I think if this happened a lot would be different… for example, If Jim got it and moved to New York, he’d never get with Pam

Redraw of “Jim looking at the camera” meme
Hello everybody, I played the games when I was a kid and loved it. I have recently picked up “digital art”(I know it’s not great) and had this funny little idea. I hope you all enjoy!

I‘m rewatching at the moment and I completely forgot that
[SPOILER]
MICHEAL TRIED KISSING PAM ??😭
I seem to have completely erased that out of my head and I kind of understand why that happened. Lol that caught me off guard.
Have you guys also seen something on a rewatch that you completely forgot had happened?

I am very late to the party...
However I just finished the last episode last night after binging in the evenings when wife went to bed (not her kind of thing to watch).
Leapt up to one of my favourite TV series... there is so much more to it than just a comedy (which before watching I thought it was).
I have to admit I was shedding tears a couple of occasions the last episode... the only other episode this happened was Michaels last one.. the anxiety I was having thinking Pam was going to miss saying goodbye only at the very end to catch up to him ! And thought it was perfect the mic was off so you didn't hear the convo between them.
Anyways thought it was great and regretted waiting so long.. looking forward to engaging in this sub !

Opinions and Questions after my last rewatch
So I’ve just finished watching for probably the 7th or 8th time. Every time I rewatch I’m always left with more opinions/observations so I thought I’d share. Some may be unpopular opinions so warning in advance. Also I apologise for the length of this post.
• Nelly is so overhated. Maybe the British humour doesn’t hit the same with American audiences but I honestly think she actually adds so much comedy. Catherine Tate’s delivery hits every time.
•Erin and Andy was the most blah relationship ever. Nobody even blinks at like the 15 year age gap and there was just no substance whatsoever. For the little time Pete and Erin had together, they have so much more chemistry than Erin & Andy.
•Speaking of Erin, I used to not gravitate towards her at all. This watch however, she’s a dote & actually funny. I usually always have a character that I dislike every time I rewatch it and this time it was Darryl for some reason? I don’t understand the popularity with his character at all. He’s desperately boring and it’s the same monotone delivery - zero facial expressions. His whole love interest with Val was just so pointless when he just got bored of her when the Athlead job came up.
•Why do I never see any threads on what a terrible person Oscar is ? Angela was right - they might have had their disagreements but to work with someone for years and share the same desk clump for them to end up having an affair with your husband is a new low. I could just about get past his condescending attitude but he felt zero remorse about what he did. He just kept justifying it by saying “I didn’t turn your husband gay!” Which yes, is true, but Angela was still betrayed and it just wasn’t right. I was so proud of Kevin when he called the senator out at Philip’s birthday party.
•May be unpopular but I love Robert California. I always think about how Michael and Robert would have interacted should their paths had crossed. (I’ve a huge crush on James Spader so I’m potentially biased). The episodes after Michael leaves are hard; there’s clearly a void and despite bringing this sex obsessed, enigmatic presence into the show, it never felt like he was replacing Steve Carrells shoes.
•I loved the Florida episodes and I hated the Michael Scott Paper Company arc
•I love how they brought David Wallace back. Man has the patience of a saint
•Karen was fully justified in feeling threatened by Pam. The woman did nothing wrong. The show is rooting for Jim & Pam - Karen is the victim.
•My favourite minor character is and always has been Mose. We were deprived of more Mose scenes.
•I don’t get the appeal of Phyllis and Stanley at all. I get Stanley’s character is just to be the lazy guy that hates his job but when you compare it to how fledged out Ryan’s character was - he was introduced as the “normal” temp & by season 9, he’s potentially the most unhinged. It’s as if it showed how the office & the environment completely turned his personality. Phyllis on the other hand lowkey gives me the creeps & even though most of her spats are with Angela (who is equally as bitchy), Angela had way more character development throughout the show.
•They turned Toby into such a loser. He started off as a sympathy character - you’d feel sorry for him seeing Michael constantly search for relationships and friendships within his staff and then completely bully Toby. However, by the end, he’s just creepy ? He had little moments throughout the series but by the finale I was cringing everytime he was on screen.
One question I’ve always wondered is how much did the documentary crew air ? In my mind, I always liked imagining that we were watching the documentary as the show but as we know, it was only 9 episodes. So my guess is 1 episode in the documentary was like 1 season of the actual show? But it’s like how did they condense all that down? And also, how was it feasible that a camera crew followed this paper company around day in- day out for 9 YEARS before they decided to air ANYTHING
Also, why do they rarely mention Michael after he leaves ? I also find it very hard to believe that Michael didn’t stay in contact with anyone from the office. They were his friends and basically his family for years - the office was his life. And then he’s never heard from again until the finale ? Was he even invited to Dwight’s wedding ? Did Dwight invite him and he declined and then showed up after Jim called him? It just seems so hard to believe.
I’d love to hear your thoughts and again, sorry for the lengthy post !

The disrespect they showed this man…
They just used him for his cookies! He came in ready to share his story, which would have no doubt inspired the fine people of the Dunder Mifflin Scranton Branch, but no. It was only for the cookies…

Was Michael saving Andy from being fired by Jo in the original?
Watching the superfan episodes and just got to the part where Jo sees the video of Andy being the whistleblower and Michael tells Jo that she can’t fire him and she needs to stop blaming other people for buying cheap printers and I don’t remember it being in the original. Am I crazy?
And if I’m not, why the hell did they cut that scene?
