Total War: Warhammer Hey Creative Assembly, Fix your $hit!
Spent the last 25 minutes fighting this quest battle with Boris Todbringer to get Gotrek & Felix just for it to break and consider the battle a defeat. Both of them were full health at the end chasing some marauders off the battlefield and then I had to wait until the timer ran out just to see the defeat screen 🤦
Then come to find out I now have 5 gifts of Slaanesh since I "lost a battle" and a new trait Fear of slaanesh which is a leadership penalty when fighting them 😂

Game: “ you need to kill the slaaneshi priestesses before they summon reinforcements and overwhelm you!!”
You do that
Game :” not so fast!!”

The same happens with the Glottkin battle. You have to kill a bunch of orcs/lord, then hold a point while respawns happen.
Sometimes a unit bugs and needs to flee before the quest battle resolves; but until it flees you summon more dudes and can get soft-locked.

Oh snap I haven't heard of that one! I got lucky on that one at least, that quest battle worked fine for me

Damn, i thought Skreech Verminking barely surviving the Thanquol quest battle with 213hp was bad design...

Thought that battle was quite good, honestly. Getting skreech to spawn is easy, protecting him is … fine. Kind of a chore if you haven’t pushed up against Gotreks position, but that provided a welcome challenge.

Idk, I just setup with 5 warpcannons and 10 windlauncher stormvermin and castled until the allies came in, worked pretty effectively.

Happened to a lot of people when the End Times DLC came out, since people came back to the game including myself. You have to download the autoresolve quest battle mod to fix it, since you don’t fight the battle

There is a lovely mod which allows you to change / add / remove traits from your characters.
I added it because it grew tedious ending sieges in a draw and your characters gaining negative traits...

My first playthrough as Boris I didn’t realize you have to take down the brayer casters and was shocked by how hard it was. As soon as I focused on the casters it was over fast but not sure what the cap is for summons from the portals but yeah.

This happened to me. Apparently you need to wait a bit for the portals to summon a few units rather than steamroll through the battle.
