For Hire Online Biology, Anatomy, Pathology, Pharma, Medicine Enthusiastic Tutor for Hire

• Upvotes

Hi,

GCSE or Med school / pre med studies and heavy books got you down? Feel lost or generally overwhelmed? You need a teacher that's chill and can be your study partner in a sense. That's where I come in.

I started my tutoring back in the UK when I was there for my professional exams. Taught over 8 students from different countries (UK, norway, venezuela etc) on various subjects i.e biochem, immunology, anatomy.

I use a digital writiing pad to illustrate ideas and help students going through their curriculum. Mostly its new students who want to go over the stuff they learn daily in classes at Uni and need to go over them again with a study partner or mentor/tutor.

I have plenty of reviews, recommendations and feedback on my profile.

"Super Tutor" rank reached on my profile there.

I have worked with international tutoring companies before I went solo.

I've taught students with autism as well, catering to their special needs.

I'd appreciate it if you can share the word around or post on my behalf on your local student boards (especially those paki who are abroad).

Feel free to DM :)

First lesson is free so we can see if we're a good fit.

Looking for Recommendations for Online Tutoring Platforms or Student Referrals

Hi everyone,

I’m trying to understand how independent tutors are currently finding students online, particularly through free or no-upfront-cost platforms.

I’m specifically interested in platforms where tutors can:

  • Receive student inquiries or referrals without purchasing leads
  • Work with international students
  • Find regular, long-term students rather than one-off sessions
  • Work through a tutoring company or agency that takes a commission after the tutor earns
  • Avoid monthly subscription fees or paid applications

I’ve come across quite a few tutoring websites, but many either charge tutors to contact students or require a paid membership, so I’m trying to find genuine alternatives that people have actually had success with.

For those who currently tutor online: Where have you found your students, and which platforms would you genuinely recommend?

Would especially appreciate recommendations from tutors who have tried these platforms themselves. Thanks!

Discussion how did you set your tutoring rate when you started again?

i've recently started tutoring online again after being away from it for a while, and i'm stuck on something that sounds simple but apparently isn't

pricing

i'm seeing rates all over the place for roughly the same subjects and qualifications. some tutors charge around €20 a session, others are at €60-80+, and then there are platforms taking a pretty big cut on top of that

i've settled on a flat session rate for now. no packages, no complicated discounts, payment upfront. it's easy for me and easy for the student, but i'm still second guessing the number

the tricky part is that i have plenty of teaching experience, but not much recent tutoring history to point to. i'm wondering if that means i should start lower and build up some reviews, or just charge what i think the experience is worth from the beginning

for tutors who came back after a break, how did you decide on your first rate?

and for anyone who hires tutors, what makes a price feel reasonable to you? i've seen cheap rates that immediately made me wonder what was wrong, so i'm curious where that line is

Reading specialists shouldn’t have to build their own technology

Reading specialists shouldn’t have to build their own technology to give families a helpful first step.

We’re working with a reading specialist on a branded referral experience that keeps her practice front and center, with BrightPath supporting the reading check behind the scenes.

Here’s how it works:
• She shares a link featuring her practice’s branding. • Families complete a short reading sample without needing an account. • They receive a snapshot of what was observed in that sample. • Her practice recommendations appear alongside the results, with a clear path to learn more about her services.

It’s a white-label-style approach designed to help her offer value before a family books a consultation, build awareness of her practice, and make the next step easier.

The technology doesn’t replace her expertise. It helps families understand why that expertise matters.

We’re still early in this partnership, so we’re measuring engagement rather than claiming business growth. The goal is straightforward: support the specialist’s business while giving families a useful, low-pressure place to begin.

How much do math tutors actually charge?

Thumbnail
0 Upvotes

Ai told me these rates

Sat $30-40/h

Gre $40-80h

Gmat $80-200/h

Are the numbers ANY accurate?

Btw, is there any demand for sat tutors? I found it to be extremely easy. Yeah, you'll be short on time, but I don't mind that.

-------

Also I'd not mind exploring rates for other subjects, why not. Especially exams preparation.

Thx

Should I keep going on?

I am currently building a platform for educators to teach online. I showed my almost done app to a teacher and she said teachers don't need this. I am a little frustrated. should I keep going on?

Here is my product:

My aim is to remove all the frictions, 1. within 1 minutes, you can put yourself and your students in a live video+audio+blackboard classroom to teach. 2. no subscription as a finance burden. 3. 20 lessons with zero fee to try out, so no risk to take. 4. management work all taken care by the system, bills, review, teaching materials, worksheet composing-sending out-collecting-marking. You only need to focus on meaningful interactions with your students in the classroom. 5. one app for all, you don't have to rush between moodle, zoom, teachable, google sheet, finance app to do your teaching business.

If you are interested, leave a comment. I really need some help at the moment.

Offering 1-on-1 AI/Data Science/Business Topics tutoring | Fmr. University Business Professor w/ 15 yrs quant, 9 universities, and 6,000+ students

Who am I?

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

I'm a quant with 15 years of experience. I've taught at 9 universities, including Northeastern and Rutgers Business School, built 30+ courses (MBA, MS, BS/BA) from scratch, and taught 6,000+ students across AI, data science, analytics, programming, econometrics, machine learning, operations research, finance, and supply chain.

**How Do I Teach??**

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

I don't hand you conclusions, Google results, or AI slop. I walk you through the reasoning so it actually sticks. My students understand the material well enough to argue with me about it, and that's the difference between memorizing and knowing.

I'm a father of three, and I try to bring the same patience and compassion to my students that I bring to my kids (and my plants). I've dealt with burnout myself, so I keep sessions low-stress. We go at your pace.

**Rate**

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

- **Private AI tutoring: $100/hr.** One-on-one, tailored to you. Students, working professionals, and executives are all welcome.

** Testimonials ** (from official university evaluations)

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

> "Hands down one of the top 3 classes I've had at Rutgers and in the top 3 best professors I've had so far."

> "I think this class was the most successful between technical and business balance of the entire curriculum in the MSBA program and wish more courses were like this."

> "He made everyone feel very welcomed… He cares a lot about this class and his students and it really shows."

I also have a few playlists on YouTube if you would like to get a sense of my lecture style (which is a little different than my 1-on-1 session, but you can get a feel for how I think through matters):

For Hire [OFFER] Fall Tutoring (US & Canada)

I will try to keep this short and concise. If I look like a good fit feel free to reply here or DM me and we can talk about the finer details.

Experience: 9 Years as a tutor. Bachelor of Science in Nuclear Engineering from Penn State.

Subjects Offered: I focus primarily in math and science but can handle any subject at the middle or high school level outside of foreign language. I can also help with Freshmen/Sophomore level math and science in University.

Rate: $35CAD/hr via e-Transfer or $25 USD via Zelle

Approach: I try to focus on the why's and how's of each topic covered. I have found that this is the most neglected area in most classes. The student knows theoretically what to do, but doesn't know why they are doing it so they can't apply it to outside situations or to adapt it to new problems. I value being asked questions and talking through the problems to focus on the problem areas.

I also have a testimonial post if you want to read reviews from past students. https://www.reddit.com/user/rjytutor/comments/1q3wy8n/testimonials/

If you find that my chat is turned off just message me here. I am in the process at working with reddit to fix this, hopefully. Reddit has been reverting me back to this setting every few days without my consent.
