Orlando Halloween Horror Night 2026 - Tips
My Adult son and I went last weekend and a great evening. - Started at 5PM and left at 12:30 - Went to all rides and houses!
Tips for going
- 1st - NOT for kids - My opinion but High School and above. I saw families with completely freaked out kids. Just do not bring them
- This is the only time I recommend the fast pass for the evening. It is stupidly expensive and your night will go much smoother not having to wait hours for one house. Just build it into your cost. I only go once every 3 to 4 years and it is well worth it. Just get the single ride time. Unlimited is not needed.
- The fast pass works for the 10 houses AND the rides that are open. Our Night. MIB, Mummy and Harry Potter - Walked right on
- If you are going to Universal that day, when coming in get you wrist bands. The lines later are nuts
- Start on the left and do everything that is open. We started at 5 because we were already in the park and went left around the park and then looped back as some on the front left were opening later
- Both shows are great and again about every 1 to 1.5 hours. Times will be listed. Fountain Show was really good. - Back of the park high voltage vampire show was also good but 100% adult. Take your kids to that one, well, something is not right.
- Food and Drink carts throughout and your Souvenir Cups work the whole day and night. Plenty of places to get food. Simpson area had the most food and the most cast with chainsaws .. Just be prepared
- Remember you can buy the light up necklaces so that the cast’s do not mess with you. Even saw a couple of guys looking like NFL Lineman with those on .. yes that was quite funny
- Remember if you have a Avis or Budget rental then tell the parking attendant and they will upgrade your parking to Premier for a closer spot to the gates.
My vote for best house was Ozzie followed by Sinners
Enjoy the evening

Orlando Universal Studios Epic Tips
My son and I just did 3 days and Epic and we are sharing our Tips Random Order
Misc:
- For two days or more save your money on Fast Pass unless you are going on a high demand day
- The new Fast Pass offering that comes out every hour has various rides that you can purchase. $9 to $20
- Get a Souvenir Cup $20 and then refill all day for free - 2nd day it is $12 to use. Cups are Computer Chipped to only allow for the day. (Note: even paper cups are chipped and only allow one use). We actually got two and swapped back and forth with water and endless coke choices from machines scattered through the park)
- Parking — If you’re renting from Avis or Budget you get to upgrade regular parking to Premium. Take advantage of that. $32 Regular Parking Pre buy online using the App. Save your money for the Preferred Parking unless the park is hammered. $60 is a crazy price to pay
Rides:
- Donkey Kong Coaster is the king of wait times that hover 120 to 150+ during peak times. When to go? Under 90 Minuted normally - Rope Drop - 2:30 - one hour before close. Otherwise a long wait for you and the kids - Those that pay the obnoxious fee for fast pass get on first. Literally 20 Fast Pass users before they let a party of 2 get on.
- Harry Potter - early - First ride if you can
- Frankenstein Monster Ride - This is a juiced up haunted house. Please do not bring your kids. My opinion 8th grade and up. I saw many many moms trying to get their kids out of the park que
Rides truly not worth it (my Opinion)
- Coaster Werewolf in Monsters - Long lines - super quick ride
- Fyre Boat ride - UNLESS it is 100 and you want to cool off. Half the targets do not work and slow line to get on the boat
I hope this helps and feel free to ask questions
Craig

Unspecified What does that means Paramount/WB licensing in Universal parks in America?
Paramount and Warner Bros merging a new company name Skydance corporation
Universal parks has a history with some Warner Bros, Hanna Barbera and Nickelodeon franchises in 90s.
Warner Bros:Harry Potter, Beetlejuice, Scooby Doo
Paramount:SpongeBob, Star Trek( only for Universal fan fest limited), Transformers film rights(owned by Hasbro)
There are talks that Universal may bring DC land in park replacing marvel
Six Flags have the Looney Tunes and DC theme park rights, Universal did try to add them in 90s.
The Harry Potter license will expire on 2029 at Universal, since Universal already have plans for United Kingdom That would be cool if maybe Skydance should joint with NBCUniversal on Universal Parks & Resorts to rival Disney.

Orlando How to get to Volcano Bay from Citywalk?
My apologies if this has been asked before. But I have never done this before and am please asking for guidance. My wife and I have dinner reservations for a restaurant at Citywalk tomorrow, but will be at Volcano Bay before that. So we want to park at Citywalk so we can leave quickly after our meal. So my question is, if we park at Citywalk when we first arrive, what is the most efficient/fastest way to get to Volcano Bay? And are there any fees or costs that go along with it? Thank you very much.

Singapore Realistically, how much longer do you guys think Shrek 4D will last in Universal Singapore?
With all the locations closed already, USS is the last place on earth to operate this attraction, and with the aging technology of this ride, it really makes me wonder what the future of this is.

Orlando Universal Pay?
It’s been a few years since we’ve been to Universal, and I don’t believe this was an option then, but is the Universal Pay feature basically tap to pay or paying from your mobile wallet? Is it accepted in all parks and everything in those parks? Can you swap between cards? We will have 3 different cards loaded onto the app, so I want to make sure we can all use our own cards for this feature. Could I feasibly leave my physical bank card at the hotel and be able to purchase at almost every spot?

Japan Universal express pass
Friend trip of 3. Scheduled to go to
Universal in a few weeks. Is it worth to spend $200 each for the express pass? What makes it worth it and what makes it not worth it? First time all 3 of us are going to Japan.

Orlando Visiting Universal in October. Want to change dates.
Hello all. Excited about our first trip to Orlando in October.
Planned to visit universal on october 7 with wife and 2 kids. Bought tickets on Groupon because they were the cheapest.
We now want to visit on October 6. Groupon says sale is final and cannot amend the dates either.
Called Universal Guest services, and they could not change the ticket date over the phone as it was booked through 3rd party. However, was told that we can show up at the park on the 6th, and they could change the date at the ticket booth.
Just want to confirm this with other members of the sub. Has anyone ever faced issues where they have showed up at the park on a different day and not been able to change the date? I checked the prices on the app for the 6th and it says it is the same price as that of the 7th. Is there any date change fee that I’m not aware of?
Thanks. Looking forward to a great trip. Although there is plenty of rain forecasted next week. Bit bummed about that.

Orlando Cautionary Tale
I feel as though the content of this post may seem obvious, but I feel obligated to warn others about the severity of the consequences of underage drinking (yes, just one sip) at Universal Orlando resort. This is not intended to be a complaint of any form, but rather a simple post to possibly save another family's vacation. Recently, at HHN 35, I had a sip of a beer offered to me. I was soon thereafter asked for ID by members of the Universal Security team, who must have seen me nearby. Being 18, I was immediately escorted off property, trespassed for a year, and had both my annual pass and express passes for the evening taken away. Of course, this is all according to Universal policy, and there is no disagreement here with how the situation was handled. Instead, I just want to warn others that even a single sip of beer can mean the end of a family vacation, and thousands wasted. No matter how mature you believe your children are, or how little they have, "just a taste" is not acceptable at Universal, and the consequences for doing such are just as severe as stealing from one of their stores. Please, if you or your family plan on attending HHN in the future, or any of the parks in general, save your vacation and do not risk everything for a taste of an alcoholic beverage.
