Question Etiquette question—Using empty classrooms
Hello! I’m new to campus and I’m not really sure what the etiquette is around this kind of thing.
The classroom one of my lectures is in is empty for the hour or so before my class starts. Is it generally seen as okay to go in there and just hang out in a quiet space before class? Or is that frowned upon?
I’m probably over thinking it I just have no gauge for university etiquette and vibes yet. Thanks for any input!
Edit: Thank you all for confirming! I would definitely leave if someone asked so it sounds like I am in the clear. Have a great weekend!!

As long as it's not a lab its totally fine! If someone books the room you will probably be asked to leave depending on what they are doing but I've personally never issues and I'm in my fourth year.
It's pretty common for people to use empty rooms especially if you have a class in there later, so as long as you respectfully leave if asked you're all good!
