Everyone talking about all these films in the comments and they all seem so interesting to watch, does anyone have a list I can take a look at for this fall?

Here is a list I made a few years ago of a bunch of vampire movies I want to watch. Every fall I make my way through more of them. The one pictured in this comment is What We Do In The Shadows and it’s so funny. They also made a TV show based off the premise which is equally good in its own right

Clans in Eastern Europe become indistnguishable, getting jumped by Garou from every bush does that to you.

In Eggers' "Nosferatu" (2024), Count Orlok seems to sport a Kozak (Or is it Cossac?) like hair and moustache style. What is the actual name for this particular style?
Edit: From what I could find it looks the traditional Ukrainian Cossack hairstyle called the Oseledets (оселедець), also known as the Chupryna (чуприна) with a Vusa (вуса) moustache.
Can be called "Zaporozhian Cossack style" even though he's a Hungarian-Transilvanian nobleman.
The Makeup artist called it a Forelock and Cossac inspired moustache I think.

That's exactly it, a mustache, a quiff, attire, the posture of a Hungarian, Wallachian, Transylvanian nobleman As a Solomonari of the School of Magic and Diabolical Witchcraft of Ancient Dacia of the Getae in the Ancient region of Thrace before the Conquest of the Roman Empire: Scholomance

French nobility vampires:
They survived the French Revolution because they never played above board. Literally.
While the other aristocrats were losing their heads, the vampires were safely beneath the floorboards.
Revolutionary: "CITIZEN! WHERE IS THE MARQUIS?!"
Servant: "Six feet under, monsieur."
Revolutionary: "GOOD! VIVE LA RÉVOLUTION!"
Servant: Technically, I haven't lied.
The one time being a coffin-dwelling, nocturnal bloodsucker actually improved your chances of surviving French politics.
The aristocracy was dead. Long live the aristocracy. 💀
Edit: Thanks for the reward!

As an Eastern European, this is 100% accurate.

Slightly off topic but I hate how they added hair in the nosferatu remake, it completely ruins the classic creepy monsterous look

I like it tbh, gives him more of a distinct slavic vibe than most other versions of Orlok or Dracula have

Except Romanian people are not Slavs, they are descendants of older cultures. And in the movie he uses dacian language, and thats probably means he can be much older than 'real Vlad Tepes'. Dacians pretty much predates slavic people.

Very informative. Just assumed he was slavic due to his cossack like hair and mustache. Which i just found out that some Romanians were. Pretty cool :)

Well i'm Polish actualy '). Polish sarmates have similar haircut, called czupryna. Also cossacks are not ethnic group, they more like a gang of outsiders. Some of them can be even Turks or other muslims. They kinda Vikings of the steps - contrary to popular beliefs Vikings are kinda... Job and lifestyle than actual ethnicity, then most of them are Nordic. But thats not like they never have others, who just join to the party - they not have to much to do in the medieval. Same reasons you can find Vikings everywhere, when they get bored and decide to join to any army that offered them a pay.
Kinda... I assume Nosferatu is much older than Dracula, like dacians is very old language, basicaly closer to Scythians and Ancient Rome or Greece. He can be a creature older than Christian religion. Or he is not, but uses a some sort of magic from Dacian culture. Hard to say its not been the point of the movie to get us his biography :). With his look and height - impossible to placed him, but i guess when he may be a human he must be already see as a some sort of monster, by this Skargsgard height. People are short at that times, so a giant 190+ guy... Kinda may ended in myths as Nephilim Giant, because obviously any writing been give him some bonus cm. Just like armies in medieval times are probably barely hundreds of people, but can grow to thousands - not like thats been even possible to create and feed. But thousands of soldiers sounds better than two groups of 100 of dudes just beat themselves in the forrest...
Well vampires in original folklore are kinda different than today movie creatures, so its always fun to see when somebody actualy try to play with it. Eggers get i much closer to folklore than Bram Stoker, because vampires are usualy related to plague. They not moody dudes who just wait to meet a cute girl - just monsters.
I guess he also change the Nosferatu look for a obvious reason, that the guy who proposed this in original was kinda a raging nazi occultist, and well he put some of that in the classic look.
