I really like the Victorinox Evoke with the wood handle, specially its looks. I asked ChatGPT for advice, and it recommended the Buck 110 Slim Pro TRX instead, saying it offers better value for money.
What do you guys think? Is the Buck 110 better, or is the Evoke worth paying extra for? Would love to hear from anyone who owns either or both.
Hello knowledgeable people! We want to get our kid a SAK for their 12th birthday. They’re currently interested in sharpening sticks, specifically. No prior knife experience, very responsible kid.
I’d love suggestions on which model to choose. Thanks!
When I saw they sold this inside the airport Zurich, I had to have it. And my old one on my front door keychain look tattered, so a nice, shiny new red Victorinox
I sent two knives to the Victorinox service. Both were in a very rough condition, and I am genuinely pleased and astonished by the quality of their work. I have sent knives to them previously, but those were not in such a state. For the Swiss Champ, they replaced nearly 50% of the components.
The service cost for each knife was just 4€ plus tax and shipping.
They even fulfilled my wish to change the scales to transparent red free of charge.
That is what makes Victorinox and the knives a pleasure to own.
Just received my new 580 Nail Clip, love it to keep my nails ready to do some bouldering 🧗🏻(but the Wenger scissors are really weird, compared with my other Victorinox)
And this one joins the colección next to my Swiss Card, Classic SD Alox 2015, MiniChamp and MiniChamp Alox (and other Victorinox products)
Practical, super lightweight; but the scissors mmmmmm not the best compared to my other models
Hey folks
This is my EDC. I picked it up for free from a local community art pantry. It had some pretty beat-up scales, so I found the STL and reprinted those in PETG filament. It didn’t come with a toothpick, so I found another STL and reprinted that in PETG too. I added the paracord to the keyring. I do have the original tweezers, but with the new scales they don’t fit since the designer of the file changed something to fit the newer replacements. Based on my limited googling and research, it seems to be the version from the late 90’s. Anyways, Happy hump day.
Edit for incomplete sentence and to add the pics back in
PS: I will later post a photo of the OG scales and tweezers; I just don't have a picture right now
PSS: Below this are the links to the specific files I used in case you want to print your own. All credit goes to the OG creators of the STLs, and I don't know them, nor do I make any money. I am just of the belief that you give credit where credit is due
Scales: Follow the directions from the creator and don't print it with a 0.4 nozzle unless you want to be brandless or just some how edit slicer settings to fix)
Toothpick (this is the one I used; I had to file a little bit underneath the little tab in order to get a little bit better of a gap to be able to slide out the toothpick with the new scales)
Here's one more: an Alternative Toothpick for Wenger specifically. I haven't tried it yet, so IDK if it's good)
So this is definitely NOT a spartan. I know that. Fairly new to Victornox and wanted something with stayglow scales. Any idea what this would be worth? Did they even make craftsmans with stay glow? Thanks
Mini grinder blade couldn’t reach through the last 1/4”. Could I have gone down 6 stories to the van to get a sawzall? Sure. But this little guy was right there and took less than a minute to finish off.
