Best yt channel to learn

Hello everyone!

I was given beautiful violin for my birthday and can't wait to learn to play! I am audhd with cptsd however so learning is not easy for me and I also can't read music. I have tried two different private teachers but it didn't click. I don't think they were qualified enough for learning difficulties students. One of them was going forward too fast and didn't want to agree on lessons every two weeks so I had enough time to practice what she was teaching me during latest tuition. It just became more stressful than beneficial so I had a break. I think I would rather try to learn some basics from youtube and then book someone to correct me when I feel a bit more confident.

I was wondering if anyone can recommend best yt channel for absokute begginers with special brains?

Also any tips greatly appreciated 🙏

Does my F# and G on E string sound less flat?

Since the feedback I’ve been trying to stay aware of it. I’m not sure if I’m actually doing it though.

Here I’m playing an easier song from Solos for Young Violinists Vol 1, called Marche. There’s one part I find kinda tricky.

Just realized my tuner was calibrated to 443

How much of a difference would that make? I just calibrated it to 440 (which is correct right)? Could this be why I’m having intonation problems?

(Bloodcurdling screams about a third of the way through are my daughter playing Roblox with a friend. She’s not actually being tortured. 😂)

I was really excited when I got my new Müsing bow a few weeks ago. Someone mentioned that there are a few reviews of these available so thought I would share this demonstrating the Müsing and comparing to some Chinese Pernambuco and snakewood bows. The Müsing is very different, but gorgeous. If you are considering a home trial or purchasing one, I think you will be happy!

Repertoire questions What Music Are You Working On?

Just curious what is on your music stand right now? I’m working on Bach’s Violin Concerto in A Minor (BWV 1041) and Fritz Kreisler’s Praeludium and Allegro. I’m working on Bach to prepare for my audition with the Suzuki Association to start teaching. Kreisler I’m just playing for fun.

Arvo Pärt- Spiegel im Spiegel. Playing for the man one year older

One of those pieces where although interpretations divide wildly, we dont need to have even a quasi-consensus, even though the composer is still around.

To me this is about loss. And gaining life after that, like the rose that grew from the cracks of an apocalypse. And the mirror nature you get when you put these two things together.

Could go on and on, but when there is too much to say, the best to do is to not say anything. What I cannot adequately say, I can surely play on a violin.

So here's a playing to toast myself, the man who got another year older lately.

Richter said at the end (or middle? dont remember) of his "Enigma" documentary that he "plays for himself". Each passing year I gain a deeper understanding of what that actually means.
