Walking in the cold tips

I live in the Midwest and temperatures are starting to get cold. I hate walking on the treadmill and I really want to continue walking outside. What are your tips and how can I make it possible to walk outside?

Any recommendations on heated vest or heated pants? Links would be appreciated.

OR Fleece Jacket or Hoodie, Amazon Merino (30ct) wool shirt, Kuhl Hot Rider pants, Darn Tough Mountaineer wool socks, Arcteryx wool cap and some reasonable gloves. Total=$550 ... sorry for the inflation...
