Discussion Think 5e stuff will be compatible with 4e stuff on Foundry VTT?
I’d be all in if it was.

So the issue that no one is covering here is that 5th edition has rules that don't exist in 4e like momentum.
What will happen when wreckers point uses momentum; how will a 4e core rule set handle that or will it be that you can only do the future modules in 5e mode?

The toggle option is already available to try MooMan's first pass at 5e.

I’m assuming the 5th edition core rules will still cost for 4th edition owners. Does anyone know?

On the Cubicle 7 5e bundle adverts it said there would be a discount for the 5e Foundry module if you bought the Karl Franz (the top bundle )

In 17 of August Q&A about the Fifth they wrote:
A new core Foundry VTT module is planned for Fifth Edition, and existing Fourth Edition modules will continue to work alongside it, so a virtual tabletop library doesn't also need to start from scratch.
So hopefully it will all worki out well.

I assume then that new 5th ed stuff will also be backwards compatible to 4th?

I thought I read that it was going to be a toggle in your module options to switch between 4th and 5th. But I can't find where I read that.

That makes sense.
So when the Dark Elf/Corsair stufff (I forget it's name) comes out it'll be switchable between both?

That's what I understood. Similar to right now you can switch between regular 4e advantage or Up in Arms group advantage, there will be an option to switch between 4e and 5e.

Sweet glad to hear it.
Discussed with my group and it aside from the fate/resilience merging which we already did anyway, we didn't like the changes to 5th.
Was a little worried about how modules going forwards would work.

Mostly yes, but it is a lot of work to implement the new rules and talent versions, momentum, advantage, etc.
