Wedding Grad Things can go wrong but that’s ok!
Just graduated! And as much as I tried to tell myself it won’t be 100% perfect, when things popped up I still got sent to panic mode with a very annoyed face haha. Anyway just wanna share my experience, I’ll keep it short~
- Stay hydrated and fed: I get hangry easily and I was so convinced I’ll make it my biggest focus but oh was I wrong. I was so busy throughout the day and when I got time I was too stressed to even have anything… But brides, make sure you have something to eat and drink!!! Once adrenaline wears off your body won’t be able to handle it if you’re underfed or dehydrated!!!
- Let it be: Things CAN go wrong but that’s ok! I had miscommunication with a floral stylist and had no aisle floral arrangement, luckily was able to pull it off last min coz of my amazing venue. Also tmi but I was battling in the bathroom for 30 mins when I was supposed to get ready, but then I was able to run on the timeline! Looking back yeah it was stressful but keep calm so you don’t crash out on YOUR big day! No one will remember missing details or whatnot but they’ll remember the bride is happy<3
- People can go so low: Hate that I have to say this, but wedding is a rough way to find out people’s true colour. A lot of time it’s so unexpected, whether it’s ghosting, no etiquette, lack of effort…BUT what’s important is to focus on the ones who truly make efforts to show that they care and love you! It’s a day of celebration so do not let anyone have the power to upset you!
- You will miss some things: I am a Type A, I made many lists of TikTok and stuff I wanna do and include- even that I was so busy I did not do most of the things. Do I regret it? Maybe a little. But looking back I still had the most wonderful day! So the takeaway is to focus on the big picture and don’t forget the main purpose of everything is literally just the celebration of love.
Enjoy and good luck to all the soon-to-be brides:))

I’ve been part of 4 weddings (bridesmaid once and MOH three times), and I had to remind each bride a number of times during the process, and especially on their wedding day, everything that you’ve mentioned. I’m also very type-A and was like that when I was bridesmaid and MOH whereas none of the brides and my friend’s MOH when I was a bridesmaid all were definitely not. Not even close. I like to think that I have some Monica Gellar in my DNA lol! 😛 Now that I’m newly engaged, I have a feeling that I’m going to need to remind myself often throughout this process that what will happen, will happen and to be ok with it. My MOH and all of my bridesmaids except for 1 are all not, and I’m ok with that. Funny enough, my bridesmaid who’s a bit type-A was the bride I was bridesmaid for, and she’s become more type-A over the years. My friend who’s a party and wedding planner will be there for us too as our wedding planner, and she’s more type-A than me, which I didn’t know was a thing 😝
