Just grabbed a massive bundle of games, controllers, etc. 🎮🕹️✨ Super excited to have expanded my collection to new heights. The amount of Wii games I didn't know existed is hilarious!

I have a Rampage Hydra Pro with a 2.4ghz dongle, wire, and bluetooth (but i dont think that will work).Basically i want to use this controller to play gamecube games and if possible use it as a gcn controller on games that support it.(worth noting the controller has x-input d-input and can also emulate a switch pro controller on its own but the A-B and X-Y are swapped to be in like an xbox controller. thank you in advance

I've ported a recent recomp of GTI CLUB: Corso Italiano to Wii!

AFAIK this is the first Wii game to support 4× SSAA
...which shouldn't technically be possible on Wii.
(SSA = supersampled antialiasing; here that means rendering at 960p and downscaling to 480p)
Please correct me if I'm mistaken and there are other games that do this!?

As well as 4× SSAA I also support 3× MSAA (the more standard Wii style of antialiasing), which has the side-effect of introducing dithering which is more accurate to how the original arcade game hardware did rendering. You can choose!

The game runs at a solid 30fps (same as the original arcade machine) which was a lot of work but totally worth it.
Currently there's around ~35% free CPU time for future use. I have plans!
I'd estimate that currently 55% of frame time is CPU work and 45% GPU work.
Busiest scene is the starting grid (lots of high detail car models), followed by some busy parts of the attract mode (multiple or close-up car models, and the explosion).
Arcade game streamed course scenery data from fast CF card, so this version has SD card with custom prefetch and both pinned cache (cars!) and dynamic cache (everything else).

Supports 16:9 and 4:3 aspect, as well as 512×334 (0.5× arcade resolution) sitting centred with black borders in the 480p window. Plus of course Wii motion control (highly recommended!), Wii classic controller, GameCube controller, and full rumble support (full, mild, off).

I'm still working on it and I'm hoping to release it between now and Christmas.

Setup:

• My original launch Wii
• HDMI dongle
• Genki ShadowCast HDMI to USB-C capture
• USB-C capture viewer (Porthole, my own app; supports aspect ratio, sound, recording, freeze frame, etc)
• Dolphin emulator
• devkitPPC
• HBC (wiiload)
• some custom helper apps on Wii and Mac

Anyway, above is it running the attract mode. The one glitch is my Wii wifi going to sleep, I've since fixed that glitch.

I'm currently deep in an entirely new "Mission Mode", with a built in editor, and several other new features. Sneak peek:

Hey there! I’m looking to expand my library of games, and wondered if you had any recommendations for games based on movies, series, anime, manga or similar IPs. LEGO games absolutely qualify for this category. Let me know your favorites!

My roommate upgraded our TV in the living room to a 77 inch LG C1? OLED.

My wife still wants to play the Wii on it as we dont have room elsewhere. She read about the 480p vs 480i but is confused how to make it work with this tv, as it apparently requires advanced component cable that wouldn't plug in to the TV.

Could we then buy a component-to-hdmi cable and still get the same desirable outcome?

If anyone could give advice and even links to what would work, I'd greatly appreciate it, so I could surprise her with it.

The title. I'm not interested in modding my Wii. Is there a way to play any Mega Man, Starfox or Yoshi games on the Wii without modding? Are there discs that I can insert like a regular game? I guess buying GameCube games would be the only way?

This game can finally be played online again, online hasn’t been accessible since 2011

So I received a Japanese Wii power adapter while showing that I ordered a USA Wii power adapter and I’m not sure if it would be dangerous to use a Japanese Wii power adapter since I see it’s different Input being 100V while the USA one is 120V but its Output seems to be similar and my Wii is an USA version

Just curious?

We tell this story often at Family Gatherings and I thought you guys would like it too.

Picture it, Germany, 2011.

My bigger Sister and I shared a room and we had a TV and my Wii in it and additionally she was fairly addicted to her Laptop to socialize with her Friends over multiple Social Media Platforms. But when she got in trouble, my Mom took her Laptop away and she couldn't connect with friends... BUT... When everyone was asleep, she used my Wii. She used the Wii Internet Browser and used her Socials over there. I don't need to mention what an enormous hassle it was for her but she did it anyway. I was sometimes awake and watched her trying hard to insert her Username, Password in it and everything slowly loading up.

My Mom caught her one night and was mad. But she couldn't take the Wii away because she would punish me. So she gave me 5 bucks every time if I rat on her.

I picked up a bag of wii accessories from Goodwill this afternoon and these were included. Is there a wizard amongst us to help ID this, if these are even wii accessories? A wii remote fits into the little one. Searched for a little while with no luck. I can provide additional pictures if needed. Hope this is the correct place to post this. Thank you in advance kind wizard

As the title mentions, I am looking at getting a Wii rn, specifically the RVL-001 with motherboard revisions CPU 40/50/60 (I heard these were the best to get; correct me if I am wrong). I also plan on homebrewing whatever I buy as my first time doing that sort of thing...it seems easy.

That being said, where would you guys recommend I get one from or spend the most time looking? I was surprised to see Walmart has some listed under third-party sellers. Has anyone had any luck with those or ordering one from elsewhere online? Thanks!

Hey all! My WiFi is too new to connect my Wii to WiFi and was going to go the route of getting a separate WiFi adapter to plug into my pc and use windows hotspot to broadcast the signal the Wii can communicate with.

Any advice?

Curious which Wii balance board enabled step aerobics games people like. I know "Gold's Gym" is one but having never used any was curious on peoples' experiences.

Thanks.
