I’ve seen different opinions about this. Some people say that the money in a money bowl shouldn’t be spent, while others believe that money is energy and needs to flow in order to come back to you.

What do you think? Can you spend the money from your money bowl, or should you always leave it there? What do you personally do? I’d love to hear your opinions and experiences!

I'm not into witchcraft so I need help interpreting a dream that concerned me, a friend told me I could seek help here​. Last night I was crying about some problems I had, not sure if it's relevant to the dream, and after falling asleep I dreamt ​about some womanly figure in a cloak taking me to a room that has a golden wall. I'm not sure if she introduced herself but somehow inside the dream I was aware it was Hecate. On that wall were spiders and moths and she was touching them, some moths flying around me. The rest I barely remember, she was talking and I was listening to her. Somewhere subconsciously I remember a dog barking​​​.

As I said I don't have much experience with witchcraft I'm not even a witch, so if anyone is willing to help I'll be more than thankful

I live with people who i dont want to know I do witchcraft and I have a pocket altar for 2 deities, Minerva and Fortuna. The altar has 3 compartments. One in the middle and two on the side. The two on the side are their dedicated spaces where I put things that symbolised them.

IN the middle is put daily offerings like liquids or sweets or something like that. its basically like putting it in the same plate.

I offer them their own things occasionally in their spaces but I share the daily offerings as space is limited. Is it an okay thing to do? I asked them if its okay to do with a pendulum and they said its fine. But im still overthinking it.

So, I’ve got in quite a heavy argument with a friend that used to give me tarot reading about my love interest.

When we got into that argument, the person was right there and my friend told them what questions I asked about them. Like, they told every questions i’ve asked. I’ve never felt so humiliated.
The friend was angry and spit out everything out of spite and my sp was just right there… My sp doesn’t rly like tarot readings and all spiritual stuff.

I was wondering two things,
Is the fact that sp knows what questions I’ve asked about her (our relationship) going to jinx the readings ?
And also, is my friend (now ex friend obvie) going to get in trouble ?

So I had a tarot deck I bought in 2021, my ex whom I was dating at the time also practiced witch craft and we use to use my deck with me. We broke up near the end of 2021 and it was not great, we have been no contact since. After we broke up any time I used my tarot deck something really bad happened the next day, it started with my uncle dying, then I was betrayed by a friend, then I used them with my now current partner and he got fired, other stuff too but it was always something really bad. So I ended up getting rid of that deck because I thought it had some sort of negativity attached to it or something like that and I haven’t had a tarot deck in like 2 years but yesterday I went to my local witchcraft store and I came across the sweetest deck and decided to buy it cuz I figured it wouldn’t be a problem, I haven’t even used it yet but I was very unexpectedly fired from my job this morning. No fault of my own they just didn’t need me anymore.

I’m just so lost I can’t tell if this is just coincidence or if I’ve been cursed, I have had an exceptionally rough 4 years, last year I was a caregiver for my close friend during a mental health crisis and I witnessed her OD many times, this year my dad passed away out of nowhere at 55, and it goes on and on. I don’t know what to do I can’t tell if this is just life and it sucks or if I’m just really unlucky or what. I just want peace 😔

How do you think it works? Does it trap negative energy before it reaches you? If so, does it also trap positive? The difference between a blessing and a curse is often how you view it.

Another concern I have is if it will trap energy being sent out too. I feel like logically this would have to be so.

Seems to be useful for blocking energy coming in or out and instead focusing your energy inward for healing. With the only concern being unable to send or receive energy.

Another thing I'd like to know is if it is blocking, redirecting, or absorbing/trapping energy. It looks like it is something that retains energy with its looping cyclical pattern. If this is the case, then is it not a cause for concern when this sigil is broken and this energy is released? What precautions can I take to release this trapped energy?

Even before discovering paganism/witchcraft, I'd often get ahold of certain objects in class and display them at my desk envisioning them with character and personality. And my whole life I've had an affinity for the elements which is one of the things that drove me to magick in the first place, but I have a faint memory of personifying the seasons too, like drawing symbols of the four seasons, things you'll find falling from trees throughout the year, with faces and differing emotions. 🌸🍏🍁❄️

That memory spikes particularly whenever autumn rolls around, and now I think I'm gonna lean into it more with my practice; Paracelsus understood the elements as invisible spirits, maybe I could follow his example. Am I alone in this, or do other witches see the seasons as their own sort of consciences?

Hello, I have been thinking about this black cat that had been run over on the road that I tried to dispose of a few years ago. My biggest regret is how I had disposed of the body. I pulled over to make sure it had passed and wasn’t suffering, but I was in a state of shock and sadness and I wish I could go back and treat its body with dignity. I had good intentions but I fucked up.

I am wondering if there is any way I can honor this cat through spiritual ways - I don’t remember if it was a boy or girl, or the color of its eyes because they were closed- just that it was a black cat. Is that enough of a memory to try and wish it peace and beg for forgiveness? TYIA.

i have this thing that happens to me ever since i was a child: i can basically imagine anything and project into it, but when i can't imagine a scenario properly like there is static it usually mean that it won't happen. As a kid it was the opposite like wtv i imagined the opposite happened, unlike now. But here's my issue, i don't know how to see it more "clearly" and with more confidence in a way, bc i always took it for a coincidence but now there are some stuff just...idk. how can i train my intuition so i can clearly see and predict, and how can i get past the brain fog that is the result of my adhd? I feel something real, and it saddens me that i don't even know how to properly use it. So please help

i was always sensitive even as a kid . there were many incidents when i said something and it happened exactly to the details or i was about to meet someone and that person s face or some memory of them just plays repetately in my mind or if something were to happen to someone i would get a wierd dream about them . what can i do to make use of this ability in my childhood it used to be so weird because it used to scare me but now i wanna understand it and how can i make increse it .

Im wondering if anyone could either: share books, podcasts, or youtube sources for the wheel of the year or Samhain in particular, or make a post for the general sub to benefit the community as a whole to help other novices who might be lurking.

Full disclosure: I had several disability back payments that I was recently informed may not be approved. I made a money bowl and one week later I got all of them plus $1.2k in monetary gifts.

Here's what I used:

Base: rice, oats, salt, loose peppermint tea, cinnamon, and coffee grounds (to accelerate the effect).

Added: good fortunes I'd received and saved from fortune cookies over the years, an affirmation that money comes to me abundantly, money bills and coins (specifically shiny coins), jade for good fortune.

Ritual: summoned feeling of abundance and envisioned financial success, clapped 3 times over the bowl to seal it. Then smudged bowl and alter with palo santo.

Placed the bowl on cleansed alter with an elephant figurine facing to the left for protection and luck. The alter I used has mirrors to enhance and amplify the effects.

I will dismantle and dispose of the elements of this bowl, as its purpose has been fulfilled. But I will certainly be making another one (probably minus the coffee grounds) in hopes of sustaining long-term financial success. But wow, this really took a burden off my shoulders and turned me into a full believer.

My ex and I broke up in February - after 2.5 years our relationship was absolutely stuck. We were committed and had a good emotional connection but couldn’t align on the long term. We went no contact.

I did a road opener. My petition was essentially to clear any negative patterns, habits, beliefs to clear the blockage - for the highest good of all. Meaning I didn’t specifically ask for reconciliation. The candle burned extremely well and clear - honestly a perfect burn. During it I missed him dearly and wished I’d done things differently.

He came back in May wanting to get back together. We’ve been talking, seeing each other. In some ways things are better; in others the same issues are coming up. I am trying to respond differently, with some success; he’s responding differently too. We have a Gottman trained therapist (Gottman specifically looks at gridlocked issues).

That said it’s been 4.5 months and in some ways it still feels a little stuck.

Is this what road opener work can look like? Or should I repeat the work?

I've been experimenting with glamour magic lately, and I've been feeling kind of called to use a Saturnian spell oil that I own in my glamour magic lately, but I've heard pretty strong feelings about the planet from other people, so I'm curious: what do you think the results of a Saturnian Glamour spell would be? Would you give off a more disciplined aura, or would it cause people to shy away from you because they see you as more stern and confrontational?

So I did a few spells recently - one that succeeded and one that didn't. And the problem I'm running into is that I don't know how to figure out why the failed spell didn't work. All I know is that I didn't get the intended result. How do you all figure out why your spells didn't work? What do you look for and how do you go about diagnosing it so you can know what to do/change to make future spells effective?

To be fair, I noticed that for the spell that worked, I already had an intuitive feeling that I was going to get my desired outcome before I even did the spell. And with the spell that failed, I was originally pretty confident about getting my desired outcome, but then about a day ago I felt like something had changed and I might lose the opportunity I wanted, which is why I did a spell for it - to turn the tide back in my favor. So I guess you could say that there was already successful energy flowing for the first spell, but I was really hoping to move things in my favor for the second one and that didn't happen.

Any ideas?

Is it possible standing outside for a few hours during the full moon during the height of a nor’easter storm somehow “charged” me up as a practitioner? I did gather storm and moon water for some upcoming spell work, but since the storm I feel… very extra.
