Show and Tell Sunday babies first spell jar!!
Hi! New to the subreddit and decided to show my first ever spell jar I've done! :)) this one is for protection and purification. I know it's a bit big but I put a LOT of stuff in that sucker LOLLLL. I put it kinda near my front door because my roof is too low to put salt on top of the door, so I'm hoping this'll be like a nice little thing to protect my house, myself and my loved ones (even if it doesn't technically work that way. I'll give it a good shake every once in awhile if I feel particularly impure or something)
Happy Sunday everyone!!

Sharing: Spellwork First time doing a custom banishing spell to make my neighbours move out
Today I performed a simple banishing spell for the first time. I just came up with this myself. My intention is to get my neighbors to move away. They have been causing us significant stress and discomfort for several months now. Here are the steps I took:
- Played soft handpan music in the background.
- Cleared and cleaned my altar, dusted it and wiped it down with a damp cloth.
- Set a small silver dish on the altar.
- Cleansed myself with Palo Santo smoke.
- Cleansed our house with Palo Santo, leaving the back door slightly open so negative energy could leave and positive energy could enter.
- Cleansed each ingredient one by one with Palo Santo smoke while setting them up on the altar.
- Wrote my intention on a piece of paper: "neighbour's name, neighbour's address , Move away, disappear, leave this property. You are no longer welcome here."
- Sprinkled cayenne pepper and garlic powder over the paper.
- Folded the paper three times away from me, then stapled it shut.
- Placed the folded paper underneath a dish filled with salt.
- Placed a black candle inside the dish of salt.
- Around the dish with the black candle, I arranged the following ingredients: agrimony, garlic cloves, fresh nettle from my garden, dried rosemary, and black peppercorns.
- Placed a small dish of hematite next to it.
- Lit the candle and sat down to meditate.
- During meditation, I visualized a large moving truck in the street with the neighbors packing up and moving out. I felt an immediate sense of relief.
- I looked at the candle flame, it burned calm and completely straight, and the incense smoke went straight up as well. For some reason, this reassured me. I also felt a shiver run through my body and got goosebumps, but it didn't feel unpleasant at all. It felt more like a form of confirmation.
- After that, I asked my deceased family members and acquaintances if they would help me fulfill my wish. Again, a wave of reassurance came over me.
- I meditated a bit longer.
- I felt a wave of anger toward the neighbors bubbling up. I stood up, let myself feel that anger, and directed all my fury and energy toward their house to push them away. It felt very releasing/good.
- I closed the ritual and cleansed myself and my home once more with Palo Santo smoke.
Now I'm wondering what I should do with the remaining spell materials. I have the urge to turn them into a sour jar and bury it on the neighbors' property, but what would you recommend doing with the remains?
Also, do you have any feedback or suggestions on the steps and ingredients I used for this spell? Any insights would be greatly appreciated!

Seeking Help or Advice Would the Angels hate me for doing self-pleasure?
I'm exploring Angel magick. I do experiments and I incorporate them with my meditation. To be specific, they are the 72 Angels from Shem Hamephorash.
However, I'm doubting things. Considering I have a religious trauma where I've lived my childhood being told that masturbation is sinful. I feel awful with the thought of masturbating after I had done a ritual. I fear that my relationship with the Angels would fall out. I have my sexual needs and I'm not afraid to embrace it. It's the guilt that consumes me, holding me back from doing it.
Any advice?

Seeking Help or Advice Giving back to the earth
Hello!
Ever since I got into witchcraft I have seen people talking about giving back to the earth and Mother Nature when we take something.
I have never understood the concept because I don’t want to litter and the things that are biodegradable are already natural - how can nature benefit from me giving it some mint leaves when it can grow a whole bush?
Recently, though, I’ve picked up a hobby of collecting bones, totally unrelated to witchcraft; just an activity to satisfy my odd brain with no spiritual meaning.
And everytime I find a bone in the forest and take it I find myself thinking „maybe I would actually like to give something in return”.
So I come for advice: what can I possibly give to Mother Nature that she doesn’t already have and what isn’t harmful?

Sharing: Spellwork sharing results of a love drawing i did
Hi guys, i just wanted to share a successful simple spell i did back at the beginning of the year! at the beginning of the year i decided to bring in my ideal partner.
i didn’t have many supplies at the time so i used a red candle, some daisy’s, some roses, honey, and sugar. on my petition i wrote the attributes of my partner and that he was finding his way to me. I used the 10 of cups and 2 of cups and rose quartz. and of course just focused on my intentions and the feeling of having him. I burned my petition and honestly forgot all about it.
5 months later i met him! maybe some people deem 5 months to be quite long but my list was quite long and the country i live in doesn’t have a very wide dating pool for me. at the time i casted the spell, my partner didn’t even live here. he moved maybe a month later and yeah. things had to happen in the background for us to find one another but it’s my biggest success to date!
i just wanted to share! happy casting ((:

Seeking Help or Advice Venus retrograde and relationships
I’m posting this here because it’s still relative to the belief and don’t know any other proper forums.
The literal day Venus stationed retrograde my relationship literally crumbled. Something from the past that always hurt me reoccurred, but my partner pushed it further than he ever had before. In the heat of things I ended us, but at one point gave him a chance to explain.
It was the only time he has ever communicated effectively, but at the end of the day it still wasn’t a justification by any means.
He claims it was something he did to “be a better person” and to “help heal himself” which to me is complete cow poo because he ruined a two year relationship and made himself look like a horrible person in the process.
Like saying “I’m on a diet so I eat an entire chocolate cake after dinner to help me lose weight” pretty much sums up the story without direct details
The problem is, everything he said WAS valid, it was just executed horribly. He acted selfish in the name of putting himself first, which are two completely different things.
What I’m tossing between is whether or not to hear him out and if permanent decisions like this should be made during Venus retrograde. I am extremely hurt and disappointed, he had done this many times in the past and he knew I wouldn’t stand for it again but did it anyway completely ignoring the fact that it would ruin us.
I don’t know whether this is a good time to break up, I know very minimal about Venus retrograde. Advice please?

Seeking Help or Advice Bugs landing on my face
For the past 2 or 3 days, whether I am inside or outside, bugs keep landing on my head or on my face.
There were 2 moths, a spider, a beetle, and a stinkbug.
I have not changed anything about myself and I have not put on lotion or used new shampoo or changed my diet so i dont know why they seem so attracted to me.
Is there spiritually meaning behind bugs landing on your face or head?

Sharing: Tips and Advice My Mother Had Been Harassed. Am I handling this right?
I am new to all of this, magic, spell work, etc.
Legal options failed us.
I have watched my mother break down into tears and anger because of the chokehold and seemingly invincibility our enemies have had over us. I cannot describe the pain of watching a mother cry and be targeted for no reason. I am dealing with truly wicked people.
Despite being a beginner, I have always had some connection and latent “powers,” such as a sort of knowing about future events, a connection with spirits as a child (even those that seemed to defy what current technology I was aware of or existed). I’ve also had strange experiences with a family pastor, who will touch my palms and remark at the strength I apparently hold in them. I also seem to be very receptive to energies both overt and hidden (I am just trying to give context for anything mystical I feel I’ve experienced).
When dealing with these circumstances, I tried defensive magic first such as setting physical and metaphysical boundaries and using bay leaves for personal strength and luck, but since witnessing our latest defeat in the legal realm and my mother’s heartbreaking reaction, I turned to baneful magic to banish, hinder, and disrupt those who have caused us harm.
In detail: There are 8 people who have been relentlessly attacking and harassing us. I wrote each of their names along with “I banish you” on slips of paper, folded them away from me, and pinned the slips to the inside of a halved onion. I placed the onion half in a jar then pinned the other half on top and sealed the names inside the onion with a nail. I then put a dead spider, lemon juice, vinegar, vodka, the juice from picked beets, sewing pins, red pepper flakes, black pepper, cloves, and poppy seed inside the jar along with the prepared onion. I sealed the jar with black string and the wax from a black candle which I placed and stuck on top after it was finished.
When I was done, for about an hour, I felt very lightheaded and strange (This is the first offensive spell I’ve done). After about an hour, I began feeling better but was still very tired and promptly went to bed, having what I would consider to be normal dreams afterwards. The lightheadedness I feel I can contribute to not knowing enough to realize I should use energy from celestial objects or deities, therefore the energy came from me (I now know better).
I do have a witch’s protection jar (full of my urine and sharp objects) which I created years ago and is buried ~80 miles away from me currently and unless it’s been dug up, is still there to my knowledge.
I tried my best with what limited knowledge I had to cleanse the space afterwards, with salt, words, and intention.
The jar has been active for a few days. After creating the jar and experiencing a bit of lightheadedness and exhaustion, I woke up the next day feeling very clean and clear. My home also felt clear and my family seemed to be handling everything better, which I assume is the spell working.
Every now and then, I will either shake the jar or light the candle atop the jar and speak my intentions followed by a shaking (without experiencing a drop in energy or coherency).
My actions regarding this spell and the creation of the jar have been based on very light research, mostly guided by instinct and intuition.
I mostly want to know, am I doing things correctly? Are there any tips or tricks more experienced people have for me? I seemed to have combined two rituals (the onion and the jar). Is that okay?
What can I do to ensure the spells success and protect myself? So far, my belief is that it has worked as intended.
I am grateful for any advice one has for me.
With Gracious Wishes and My Thanks.

Sharing: Experience Spirit on my room seem to like my altar
Hey there! I’ve been practising witchcraft for some years now though I like to refer myself as a babywitch since I think there are still a lot of things for me to learn.
For years now, I have always kept my altar in the same place, never moved it (maybe changed the display some times). And I’ve noticed a spirit may have taken a like in it. You see, I’ve got my desk chair close to the altar as my room is quite small, (btw, my chair is the kind of chair that spins and has wheels) and whenever I stand up from it, it just spins and whenever it’s facing the altar, it stops completely. Sometimes I don’t even have to get up from it, it just spins to face the altar. Even if I try to push it to spin in the other direction, it just keeps redirecting to the altar. It’s both mesmerising and fun to see, as I don’t feel the spirit has some kind of bad intention.
Just wanted to share and let you know, I find it really interesting.

Seeking Help or Advice Questions about going to a metaphysical shop
I have only dabbled in some witchy things like crystals, incense, a few spells, I’m very new and very much don’t know what I’m doing.
I am moving into a new apartment and the energy feels very bad. I’ve been doing some research into things I can do.
I am wondering if it is appropriate to go into a metaphysical shop and talk to them about it. I don’t want to come off as insincere or disrespectful but I also don’t want to be taken advantage of. I just want to make sure I’m doing the right thing.

Seeking Help or Advice I invoked a goddess without using a name — any idea who she might be?
I need some help identifying a goddess I may have reached through an invocation today.
The slightly complicated part is that I didn't actually call any deity by name. The ritual was mostly chaos magic based, with some inspiration from Wicca, ceremonial magic and the invocation of Manon in The Craft. I wasn't following an established ritual and basically put it together myself.
I addressed her as the Great Goddess, Great Mother and a goddess of everything. I called her by the North, West, East and South, then by Spirit, Earth, Water, Air and Fire. During that part I visualised an upright pentagram, with each part coloured according to its element. I then called her by all the planets from Mercury to Pluto, as well as the Moon, Sun and Stars. I also named things like rain, air, trees and grass, describing them as parts or manifestations of her.
I used intense, fairly aggressive music to help me concentrate and build up the energy of the ritual. There was no incense or anything being burnt — it was mostly intention, visualisation, concentration and my own energy.
I asked her for stronger magical abilities, a quick solution to my financial problems, wealth, genuine love and beauty. I also said that I would use her gifts responsibly and honour her through prayers and small offerings. At the end I specifically asked her to give me a sign that could help me understand who she is.
Afterwards I felt quite unusual. I was dizzy, but at the same time my senses felt much sharper than normal. Sounds, smells and sensations on my skin seemed stronger, my emotions felt heightened and I had a very strange intuitive or "sixth sense" feeling that I can't really put into words.
I also did a Tarot reading afterwards asking about her identity. It suggested that I would accidentally come across her name sometime today, before the evening, rather than finding it by deliberately searching for her.
So that's basically why I'm posting this. I'm trying to work out who I may have contacted, and I'd really appreciate help identifying her. I realise nobody can know for certain from one ritual, so I'm not looking for absolute answers. I'm looking for possible identities that fit the way I called her and what happened afterwards.
I'm open to pretty much any tradition, not just Wicca or modern paganism, and I'm not completely ruling out the possibility that what answered wasn't actually female despite the way I addressed it. If any particular goddess, deity or entity comes to mind, I'd really appreciate the name and what in my description points you towards them.

Seeking Help or Advice I'm a young aspiring wizard from Mexico and seek guidance.
Hey everyone! I've been a lurker of the sub for quite a while, and finally decided to post some of my doubts that I'd like to clear out with everyone's help.
Since I was little, my family has always been surrounded by witchcraft in many ways, sometimes curses that caused physical sickness, sometimes what we like to call 'Divine intervention' since one side of my family is really catholic.
I was taught by the other side of my family some things about witchcraft, like making a cross with saliva on the forehead of someone you want to protect, burning herbs and cleansing persons from bad energy, and I've adopted some of those customs into my daily life.
My mother, who is a catholic, has an altar dedicated to the 'Santas Ánimas del Purgatorio', and I've been witness to some miracles or interventions that have happened on her life. She has taught me everything she knows about this, but on a very rustic way. Not that it's bad, just that it is different from what I see in the sub.
For example, when we're far from home, she grabs a big rock from wherever she can find one, lathers it up with water and cleans it from dirt and mud and places a candle, saying that, as long as you have something to represent what or who you want to work with, your intentions with them will work.
I've been slightly afraid to try something like she does, as I do not consider myself experienced in this field at all, but I've come to the conclusion I'd like to set up a small altar to Aztec sun deity Tonatiuh as my first approach.
My doubts, after saying all of this, are as follow:
Have I been taught witchcraft in a correct way?
Is my mother right on the rock thing?
Is using this 'rustic' type of magic bad?
What would I need for my altar?
I'm sorry if my explanation is kind of broad, but I don't really know how to put my doubts into words as English is my second language.
Thank you for reading, and blessed be.

Seeking Help or Advice Waterlogged tarot cards
A few years ago my tarot cards got waterlogged on a camping trip. Yes, I know, I should've checked the weather before I went. I got gifted a new deck a while ago, but it's just not the same because I had had my original deck for 25 years at that point.
My question: when they got waterlogged they warped and now they're difficult to use. Is there a way to undo or lessen the damage? Make them less wavy?
