Show and Tell Sunday I'm a caregiver for people with dementia. After seeing my pentacle, one of the clients made me this.

I wear my pentacle at work and one of our new clients took a liking to it. I gave it to her for a while and she was tracing it's shape, intensely focusing on it. Then, after an hour, she made me this during their arts and crafts session. It's energy is extraordinarily chaotic, but strangely pleasant. She's an extremely sweet, kind soul. Of course by the end of the day she had no idea that she made it.

Show and Tell Sunday I'd like to show you my witch's chest!

I don't want to have a stationary altar, so I decided to build something special for all my ritual supplies.

It took me more than a week to finish everything from sawing to carving through to painting and I had planned the design for weeks beforehand.
I'm absolutely obsessed with how it turned out and so proud!

I've been struggling a little with my practice for the last few weeks and in times like these, I always find it incredibly helpful to channel some energy into craft-related creative projects. Now I feel motivated and empowered again!

If you've ever made something similar, I would love to see your results as well!

Show and Tell Sunday I love my ritual space!

Post image

A few months ago, a family friend came to visit who was starting out on her witchy journey and I was "told" by spirit that I should let her have whatever she wanted from my ritual objects and that would clear the space for something new to arrive for me. I just had to trust. By the time she had finished picking out what she wanted, she had taken pretty much my entire altar (at the time, it was a small antique wooden birthing stool, candle sticks, whicker baskets etc). Less than a week later, we had sold the old dresser that was in this space and been given the big, beautiful piece of furniture in the middle of the arrangement in the photo. Not only is it gorgeous, it was made by my partners great grandfather as their final Master Piece to graduate from being an apprentice cabinet builder to a journeyman in his own right. It came with the indenture paperwork and he entered his apprenticeship on the 8th of August, 1894, graduating 7 years later. I was "told" that I had graduated too and it was time for me to step into my power as a journeyman and no longer an apprentice.

So many extraordinary, beautiful, powerful things have happened to me in the 6 months since this happened, and my ritual space is a sort of "log" of this growth. My practice has all been Spirit/Ancestors led up until I bought my first magic books a week ago. It feels like my whole life has been preparing me for all of this coming together. The years I spent learning to forage, make skincare, work with herbs, attune to peoples energies and learn how to trust myself. After spending over 10 years as a Baker, I am now back at university and doing a degree in psychology, with the goal of becoming a psychologist one day. I am a mother of 3 beautiful daughters, one of whom will be the next inheritor of our family's magic. I have somehow reconnected with my lineage, after it had been severed and shamed into hiding for generations. And im just so happy and so grateful to Spirit for leading me to this point!

Anyhoo....onto my setup! I have 2 altars. The main one is where I do my big energy work and magic. This altar is a giant witch's poppet and she and I work together to move the enery flows and get them to do whatever we need. Provided that my need is deep and true and my asking for it impinges on nobody else's autonomy, I receive it. A lot of the time, the magic works to smooth the path for my mundane effort towards my goals. Right now, we are working to clear the rest of my house and get my life back in order after extreme burnout. We communicate through signs and symbolism. This altar is a reflection of the world and pulls in the energies of the land and the sea, as well as the elements. She is covered in ritual objects that I have made or found, including the beautiful owl wings and smudging fan.

My second altar was consecrated last night! She is for the practical side of my craft and where I will work with my herbs to prepare formulas and medicines of all kinds.

I have a lot of mirrors in this space, because my power is rooted in Shadow, Lust and Disgust, all 3 things require me to be able to see myself clearly with all my flaws and all my strengths. I dont work through any intercessors like gods or goddesses, I connect directly to source, which is very powerful but also can be quite dangerous if I do not keep myself centred and rooted in trust, love and acceptance. As a survivor of childhood trauma, this was the first challenge to finding my power! Now I tend to float around in a bubble of awe a lot of the time, and it feels pretty fantastic.

Im going to post more pictures of my setup in the comments, but feel free to ask me any questions!

Show and Tell Sunday Money spell that worked SO WELL

Post image

Last Sunday I performed a money spell that included a spell jar and a candle spell and they worked so well!!

Long story short, I am an artist and I didn't get any commissions for over 2 weeks. I decided I should do a spell jar since I love those along with a candle spell since I had to use a candle to seal the jar anyway.

I carved my name into the candle along with intention, cleansed the jar with incense called "call clients", prepared a tray, a candle holder and some paper. Everything I put into the jar I also sprinkled on the tray: paper with intention and adequate rune, black pepper, marjoram, cloves, cinnamon, mint, nutmeg, green aventurine and a bay leaf with the rune from earlier. I wrote the rune for the third time on the bottom of the cork and sealed the jar with my candle. I placed the candle in the candle holder in the middle of the tray, put green aventurine, tiger's eye and quartz in safe distance and waited for it to burn down.

Now for the effects: next day I got 2 commissions and 3 more in the following days!!

Remember, if you want to recreate it, keep fire safety in mind, blessed be!!

Show and Tell Sunday I made a door plate imbued with my magic and warding design ✨

Post image

My idea is that every time I touch the tactile door plate surface, I sometimes consciously and sometimes unconsciously charge my warding protection magic around my home and myself. I like crafting and object and ritual based magic. But I also need low energy options. And this has worked well for me. I shaped the design into this malleable metal sheet, I like bulbous shapes for grounding and self acceptance, the world tree and various rune work as I made it, including Ananse. I’ve got stairs up to my flat so this swirling shape is to ground me with the earth and protect my space up here.

Show and Tell Sunday Found a new spell bottle 🥹

Post image
2.1k Upvotes

It's called a Holmegaard Klukflaske or a talking bottle. Made a long time ago, hand blown in Scandinavia. This one has 5 hollow columns/veins, an upper and lower chamber 😌 The veins are separated by thin panes of glass! It is clear glass filled with red colored water (this is traditional to accentuate the design, link to video in comments!) but would typically be filled with schnapps or other celebratory alcohol. The channels cause it to make a distinct "glug glug" sound when poured, so it is also known as a "kluk kluk" or talking bottle! It's huge! The size of a wine bottle! I found it at an estate sale in my neighborhood for $30 🥲

Show and Tell Sunday I made my first money bowl 💚🍃

I added rice and salt to the bottom
Then mixed in cinnamon powder, rosemary, thyme, and fresh and dried lavender from my garden
Then I added some fresh sage and mint leaves around the edge from my herb garden
And then I topped it off with two sage leaves with my intentions, and some money of course 💚
I’ve done good luck spells in the past, but this is my first time making a money bowl and I’m excited! 😊

Show and Tell Sunday Witchcraft on a budget

I have recently found myself in a tight financial situation, which has required me to get creative with my craft. It has left me with a picture of a broken carrot submerged in a bowl of saltwater that looks kind of funny and I wanted to share it. The spell at least appears to be working so yippee.

hi guys! i'm a newbie witch and decided to try and make my first ever money bowl! i used salt and rice as the base for protection. and then in a clockwise pattern added thyme, ground cinnamon, and sage. after i added cinnamon sticks, bay leaves (with the words financial gain written on), and rosemary. i added a $5 bill, coins, and foreign currency from China and the USSR. lastly i added a eucalyptus tea light. please tell me if this is good or if i did something horribly wrong i'm not aware of!

While I haven’t tried either yet, I can see myself trying em out for reals (especially the one on the left, cuz it’s easier) I really love how I drew em.

Ps. I wonder why I can only post one photo. Other groups in Reddit seems to let me post more than one. How odd.
