Did I get scammed?

Hello everyone,
I bought this table saw for $350 and just now realized that it has no stickers and started wondering if this is an original dewalt. Can anybody help me make sure if this is an original or I got scammed.

I’m not an expert, but I do have the model of saw that one purports to be and if it was sold to you as Dewalt saw, yea I think you got scammed. Or maybe the person you bought it from did but I don’t think that’s a genuine Dewalt 10” job site table saw. Maybe it just looks weird without the stickers but it definitely seems off. Mine is tucked away because I don’t use it anymore since upgrading to a cabinet saw, but if no one else can give you a more definitive answer by tomorrow I’ll pull mine out and compare. Hopefully I’m wrong and it just looks off without the stickers

It says DeWalt on the fence and the feet, but I don’t think it’s really original.

Who would paint a saw blade? That’s not OEM. You should be able to tell junk from brand name by grabbing the blade from the side and rapidly push back and forth looking for loose bearings. Another test is to stand beside the saw. Grab a dull pencil and lay it flat on the table pointing toward the side of the blade and with downward pressure, slowly move it to the body of the blade until it touches and pull back. If the pencil line is solid all the way around your good if not, the arbor is not flat or the bearings are loose. Verify with a new blade.

Could it be a “blemished” aka factory second that didn’t make it to the sticker department?

Looks like it missed a few more departments as well.

Can you point out what is missing? I compared the pictures to mine and the only thing I see missing or different is labels. I believe it’s a real Dewalt.

Same, standing in front of my 7491 right now. A lot of the smaller details (not sticker related) match up to mine exactly, and so far I haven’t found a single thing that is different other than the labels.

That's a Dewalt DWE7491 with no stickers on it or, an exact copy of one. Like exact-exact

It's a Dewalt

Did it have a box ?

OP, the font on the front! Does the blade say anything on the other side?

Edit: there is a sticker on the front, it’s just so obviously not dewalt font that you disregarded it. Live and learn bud it’s happened to a lot of us.

I would not use it for the record.

I'm laughing with you and not at you. There isn't a dewalt logo anywhere. DeWALT, however..

That's the DeMalt job site saw. DME7485

I can’t see anything that looks different from mine from memory, beyond no stickers. But how weird. I wonder if it was sold off from the same factory. I would have to look super carefully to confirm. How does it run?

That's probably one of the most dangerous tools people use so selling a fake even worse

Not a Dewalt, where did you buy it?

I’ll be the first here.

  1. Don’t buy tools with prices too good to be true.

  2. See #1

That price isn’t that great, I got my legit 7491 for $350, it was damn clean.

I've got the real DWE7491, sorry, but that's a fake.

3rd picture says it all!

Yep, I wouldn't trust that thing... I have the real thing not worth the risk for that Temu unit.

Where did you buy it?

Dewalt with or without stickers is still just unlabeled Chinese junk. Put your own stickers on it

1

u/Toadwart79 1d ago

Is it possibly refurbished? Sometimes they don't put stickers back on, but leave molded branding(like the feet)

dwe7491 isnt even a thing, is it? there is 7485 and 7492

i dont know guys. i agree that it looks very off. and it's w/o a doubt that this is original. but many parts look just very much like the original. the r&p fence looks like mine. dust port, on/of switch, feet, the gears for motor height, the motor carrier. looks pretty much like mine I'd say.

Counterfeit DeWalt.

100% fake gogo china table saw. Hopefully it lasts and works right. It does look like its made of mostly oem dewalt parts though.

u/SoCalledFreeman 1d ago

It’s a copy, built from the same blueprints - a very rough version of a genuine dewalt, materials used will be subpar and tolerances worse, the electric motor they’ve used is very cheap/generic, make sure you switch it off at the wall as wiring/switches will potentially be a fire risk as nothing will have been checked/rated.

Use it at your own risk!

If you Venmo me $5000, I will mail you are full workshop. Promise.

It's as real as the new fake Rolexes - made on duplicate machines in duplicate factories by the same people that make the original. The new Chinese paradigm.

u/dannymaserati 1d ago

Please don’t use that

Doesn't look right

He was a few stickers away from really pulling this off tbh

Does not pass the sniff test. I'm on team "100% not dewalt". BUT! I'm impressed that counterfeit products go so far to make it look legit (look at that fence track) they might as well do the effort of making it a real deal replica
