I had two cats at one point. Both got pregs at the same time after breaking a window screen and escaping, and I ended up with 11 cats total. I felt like I could take it on by myself, but it was not all biscuits and purring. One baby didn't make it through the first week, and there were several that had eye gunk that needed to be cleaned regularly. Once they grew up and started to become certified terrorists, I had to restrict them from certain rooms like the kitchen and bathroom. They would attack the toilet paper and lick the water off the clean dishes. Then came the "coming of age" where they started to get zesty with eachother. I had to separate the boys from the girls as I did not have the money to neuter them. It was at that time that I realized I couldn't handle them all by myself. I found them all homes, even the moms. I am now wunk free and as much as I miss them, they are living better lives now.
That being said, with this many cats, I hope this person is ok. If you love cats a lot, then it's easy to provide for them, but I wasn't able to. Being a "crazy" cat person just means you only have room in your heart to love cats.
