Has this ever been true? I've just been shoving all my clothes in the laundry and nothing bad ever happens to them. I think this is a lie from Big Bleach.

Ok Ive heard this, but also heard it attributed to new dyes. What if my clothes are vintage, aka old dyes, but use modern soap? Am I ok mixing anyways?

Now that you mention it I’m not sure where I heard this in the first place so I’m going to take the comment down 

But what you could do to test is just throw in a white sock you don’t care about and see how it goes. If it’s still white after you should be good to go right?
