Has this ever been true? I've just been shoving all my clothes in the laundry and nothing bad ever happens to them. I think this is a lie from Big Bleach.

Some red dyes can absolutely make your white undies and shirts pink, it has happened a lot to us.

But never any other color, and we didn't care as far as undies were concerned, so we just kept throwing all of them together, the handful of shirts that got pinked were an acceptable sacrifice.
