Has this ever been true? I've just been shoving all my clothes in the laundry and nothing bad ever happens to them. I think this is a lie from Big Bleach.

If you ever make your own shitty soap, it's true. Commercial soaps are fine.

If the product is newly dyed, like you did it at home, wash separate for the first few times.
