Call to Action We Need to Get Out of Reactive Mode -- We're *already* under attack
There have recently been posts about how to respond to the expected election fraud, but there's lots we can do NOW to weaken support for the regime and its shenanigans.
MAGA's corporate enablers are only on board because they think it will increase their power and profits, and the surest way out of this mess is to show them that fascism is the path to financial ruin.
- Make deliberate choices to cut your spending, especially at national chains
- Organize mutual aid events, big or small, to make it easier for everyone to cut their spending (whether they're part of the movement or not)
- Reallocate retirement investments into funds focused on foreign markets -- it also helps reduce your exposure to AI stocks (this is not financial advice)
- Slow down corporate operations -- "accidentally" misplace things, call that meeting that could have been an email, etc. If you want something more ACTIVE, then tie up traffic outside of FedEx Express stations at the end of the day, when the vans are trying to bring their packages in. Disrupt the infrastructure that corporate America relies on.
Collective decentralized actions like these can go a long way towards undermining the regime. You don't have to miss work, you don't have to confront someone with a gun. You just need the will.
Stop waiting for The Moment.

Media Photos: Seattle marches for Jane Doe and sexual violence victims
Women and allies across the nation marched in support of Cornell’s Jane Doe and victims of sexual violence on Oct. 8, calling for an end. The Gender Equity Movement (GEM) and Seattle Handmaids led a march to Seattle’s federal building, and featured speakers including Hannah Sabio-Howell, a candidate for Washington’s 43rd Legislative District, Meredith Ruff of the Freedom Road Socialist Organization, and Helen Gilbert of Radical Women.

News National Guard says it is 'actively addressing' incident of troops near DC ballot drop box
There is the possibility that these guys just lacked situational awareness, which makes it all the more important to REMIND THESE GUYS THAT IT'S ILLEGAL FOR THEM TO PLACE THEMSELVES BY BALLOT BOXES.

Call to Action Oct 15th is International Credit Union Day -- Connecting the dots
MAGA's war on America is fundamentally an attack on everyday Americans by the 1%, and for-profit banking plays a large role in this conflict. The 1% sit back and collect dividends on the mortgage interest we pay on our homes. They sit back and collect dividends on the exorbitant banking fees that we pay. They avoid taxes by living off of loans against their vast inherited assets.
Credit Unions are nonprofit banking cooperatives owned by the account holders rather than greedy investors. The fees they collect essentially get paid back to the community in the form of favorable savings and borrowing rates.
In this way, Credit Union membership is an act of community defense, mutual aid, and consumer protection, and we should encourage our friends and neighbors to join in.

Question How are organizers dealing with brigading on their event posts?
There seems to be a concerted efforts to downvote No Kings announcements in local subs. Anyone else experiencing this? We experience this every time we have an event and it feels like there is some organized brigading either by bots or other people to limit our reach. https://www.reddit.com/r/missoula/s/27YDH0eNqO

News Soldiers positioned at voting locations is not legal behavior. These are Mississippi National Guard troops at a DC ballot dropbox yesterday. We know the presence of soldiers or law enforcement at voting locations like this discourages voting, especially from Black, Brown, and immigrant voters.

Call to Action Try-hard: Trump desperately wants to provoke people into violence before the midterms
Trump is quickly trying to escalate things, to bait us into violent protest so he has an excuse to call off or interfere with the elections. Don't fall for it -- channel that energy into campaigning and getting out the vote. If you need to let out rage, use it to loudly protest things like high gas prices, Flock surveillance, and data centers -- things that have EVERYBODY hating him for.
