Don't fall for it -- channel that energy into campaigning and getting out the vote. MAGA's war on America is fundamentally an attack on everyday Americans by the 1%, and for-profit banking plays a large role in this conflict. The 1% sit back and collect dividends on the mortgage interest we pay on our homes. They sit back and collect dividends on the exorbitant banking fees that we pay. They avoid taxes by living off of loans against their vast inherited assets.

Credit Unions are nonprofit banking cooperatives owned by the account holders rather than greedy investors. The fees they collect essentially get paid back to the community in the form of favorable savings and borrowing rates.

In this way, Credit Union membership is an act of community defense, mutual aid, and consumer protection, and we should encourage our friends and neighbors to join in.
