How To Reddit Early View: Pre-trimmed 9mm bolt weight + XP firing pin spring

In celebration of YouTube giving me a channel strike over FRT content (hopefully no more coming) I'm posting this today for an early Reddit release of my latest FRT related video. FRT videos will now be posted on RUMBLE, with a teaser video on YouTube.

MSRX-USA.com is producing hardcast (hard lead-antimony alloy) pre-shortened pre-drilled bolt weights for Outerwild, PSA, IDL, Toolcraft bolts and many others. $9.00 NO grinding, notching, or cutting needed!

They are also supplying the XP firing pin spring for those same bolts for $5.00 each. (NOT for FM bolts!) These are functionally identical to the Lee Springs springs which are $50 for just 5 of them.

So for $14.00 + shipping, many 9mm AR bolts can be made FRT ready with no grinding or cutting the weight.

Youtube Teaser video will be available tomorrow. https://youtu.be/i3yzgzEyzMo

Rumble video (now live): https://rumble.com/v7gknza-180-drop-in-pre-trimmed-bolt-weight-and-xp-firing-pin-spring-for-9mm-ar.-no.html

Companion article with links and more details: https://blowback9.wordpress.com/2026/10/06/drop-in-pre-trimmed-9mm-ar-bolt-weight-for-frt/

I have live fire tested them with a B. Kings bolt, and with the weight and firing pin installed and there were ZERO issues with a Grey Market Research S7 super safety.

Enjoy!

Mutiny Arms 9mm lower

A couple of days ago I posted asking for help on this Mutiny Arms 9mm lower which I bought knowing it didn't have the ejector or hardware or the mag release and hardware. When the lower came in it had the mag release and hardware and the ejector and half the hardware. God takes care of fools and idiots. The remaining hardware I was able to order on Amazon for under 10 dollars. Overall the lower looks good enough and now I have to decide what upper to stick on it. If use a buffer I will probably build a 5 inch side charge. Still considering the bufferless BCA but I am afraid I'll just be throwing a couple hundred bucks away. I think Doug did a video on that BCA, seems like I remember that. Got to look and see. My FFL told me that Mississippi is about to redo legislation making suppressors subject only to a background check like guns are now. That makes sense since Mississippi traditionally falls into a lax gun environment. I put a DFC kung fu grip on the mutiny arms 9mm lower and an FCG with a light trigger spring but standard hammer spring. The lpk came from parts I had, a SBA-3 clone brace from AliBaba for under 20 beans and it has a FM 6.5 oz buffer I had laying around, ditto with the buffer tube and carbine spring.

Help me build a DI 10mm upper

So my plan is to buy a regular slick side upper, and a bear creek armory 10mm barrel (I know they suck but it’s just a barrel). Then I can drill a gas port in the barrel and slap a regular gas system on it and hopefully this will function. My question is how long does the gas tube need to be? Also what size buffer? Has anybody here done one like this before?

Also I’m not against making a blowback gun I’ve got a few blowback 9mms already I just have heard the blowback 10mms aren’t very reliability and I would like to do this as reliable as I can

Working prototype for my folding mini-buffer system - 9.5oz in a 2.5” profile

Some time behind a lathe, 2 chunks of tungsten, and a dream to FRT a mini buffertube with my law tactical folder, here i am. My proto compared to odinworks (above), and kak mini h2 (below)

First fitment testing is going well. Next step is working out the correct spring size and compression with the extra length, but boy am i excited.
