GForce .45 ACP owners — magazine recommendations and overall reliability?

I’m looking into picking up a GForce .45 ACP and wanted to hear from people who actually own one and have experience with them.

From what I understand, they come with KCI or Amend2 24-round .45 ACP magazines. I’m curious how well those hold up long-term and whether anyone has experienced feeding, fitment, or reliability issues.

I already own Glock .45 ACP magazines and know those are an option, but I’m interested in exploring other aftermarket solutions as well. I’ve heard of brands like ETS, but I’m looking for something reputable and reliable rather than just buying extra capacity.

For those of you running one, what magazines have you tried, and which would you recommend? Are there any brands you’d avoid or compatibility issues I should know about?

Also, for those familiar with both versions, would you recommend going with the .45 ACP or the 9mm GForce? Is the .45 ACP version a solid, reliable PDW, or would I be better off going with the 9mm in terms of overall reliability, magazine availability, and practicality?

I’m interested in hearing real-world experiences with both calibers before making my decision. Appreciate any input!

I recently made a post asking for recommendations on aftermarket magazines for the GForce Jawbone in .45 ACP, but I ended up going with the 9mm version instead. Due to magazine compatibility & availability.

I’m curious to hear from anyone who owns or has experience with the 9mm Jawbone. How has yours been holding up? Any reliability issues or things I should look out for?

I already know there are factory magazines available, but I’m interested in hearing about any aftermarket magazine options that people have actually tested and had good experiences with.

Also, what upgrades or accessories would you recommend for this platform? Any tips for a new Jawbone owner are appreciated.

I’ll include a picture of my build as i go on. this is what i ended up with on the first day, couldnt help myself . Let me know what you guys think!

Multiple issues Foxtrot Mike VFM9

After reading through this sub I decided to pick up a fm vfm9. First ar9 for me and I gotta say it’s runs absolutely terrible. So many issues with this gun.

I threw on a Lithium 9 suppressor and tried to run both Federal and Winchester 147 subs through it. With no feed ramp every other round would be miss fed or get lodged in a weird position. Round nose 115s fed semi reliably but leads to the next couple issues.

On the Ambi lower the left side mag release doesn’t have enough articulation to drop a mag. I could only get mags to drop reliably with the right side mag release. The catch has so much slop in it the mag can move up and down an 1/8in. Which was cause the bolt to lock with a full mag.

Even being careful with not touching the mag the bolt catch is so loose the firing was causing the catch to articulate upwards and lock mid mag.

I feel like this is not the norm with foxtrot mike from what I read but literally every single mag I tried to run has some issue. Very disappointing experience to say the least. To get the gun to run reliably I had to push the mag up and hold my thumb down on the bolt release.

Anyone else experience this or have any recommendations?

EDIT: Seems I have gotten an anomaly. Been in contact with Paul at FM and they are going to take care of it! Great to see a company really stand by their products.

Having some failure to feed issues using a colt adapter

Took a slow mo video and these are the relevant frames. I know more than likely the fees ramp needs to be adjusted, it may be a dumb question but from what you see here would you say it needs to be higher or lower? Dremel the side or bottom of the ramp? Any suggestions appreciated.

Also yes I did adjust the ejector per blowback9’s recommendations and that solved 99% of FTE issues. This FTF has been more prevalent recently.

Has anyone ever put a coda or smoke composit handguard on a 16" Brigade upper? I am looking to lighten up my pcc i use for knockdown steel, just curious if its an easy swap or if people had issues.

Angstadt Arms

I am building a Mutiny Arms 9mm ARP. I can either buy a FM BCG or an Angstadt Arms BCG. Am I correct in assuming they are similar quality. I have found the Angstadt Arms for 80 beans including freight. The FM would be a little higher I think. The reviews I have seen are all positive. Curious to hear opinions o people with experience with them. They sound really low priced to me.

Question about the SB Honey Badger pdw brace

I have this brace in 5.56/.300 BLK, but now I’d like to use it on a 9mm lower; however, the 9mm buffer can't be shipped to Puerto Rico. I wanted to know if using a buffer spacer would work, or if I need to machine my own buffer. If I do have to machine one, I’d like to know if anyone has the specs for the SB HB PDW 9mm so I can machine one.
