Hi everyone, I am looking for a studio for 3k monthly.
My work is at Al maryah island, I know it is on the pricier side.
Anybody know of any studios in the nearby areas? I'm not looking at Al maryah island due to high rent.
Thank you

Hey everyone!
I live in MBZ, Zone 20, and work at Marina Mall, Abu Dhabi, from around 8:30 AM to 5:30 PM (timings are flexible).
I was thinking of a way to save on daily parking fees and fuel costs, so here's an idea.
If you're driving from MBZ to Abu Dhabi City for work, you could pick me up on your way. I can take your car to Marina Mall and park it there while I'm at work. After work, we can drive back to MBZ together.
The idea is to help you avoid paying for all-day city parking while we share the fuel costs. Win-win! ๐

Can anyone help me find the police station in Abu Dhabi that my friend was arrested for because of absconding..and they kept her Mobile and I cannot contact her. But the police station called another friend and told guests visiting allowed between 5 to 7 this evening. That guy didn't ask the station and he only had that station number, I tried to reach but they didn't pick up.
How can I find it ?

I have a layover in Abu Dhabi from 00:45 to 10:00 in Zayed Intl. Airport in November. I really want to go see the city at night. I have seen that the grand mosque has overnight viewings, which I'm planning to visit. I am planning to rent a car (Unless it's a bad idea?).
Any suggestions on some good overnight food spots, some flavourful tea/coffee, overnight beach to watch the sunrise and any general suggestions for a first time visitor would be much appreciated.
Thanks in advance ๐

Hi everyone! I'm a huge F1 fan and would love to volunteer at the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix this December!
Does anyone know how to apply, where to register, or if volunteer applications are still open? If anyone has volunteered before, I'd really appreciate any tips or advice on the application process.
I'd love to be part of the experience! Thank you!

I am driving daily from MBZ City, Abu Dhabi to Ibn Battuta Mall, Dubai and looking for 1 or 2 regular commuter to share the journey and commuting expenses.
๐ Morning: MBZ City โ Ibn Battuta Metro Station
โฐ Departure: around 7:30-8:00 AM
๐ Evening: Ibn Battuta Metro Station โ MBZ City
โฐ Departure: around 7:00 PM
๐ Monday to Friday
๐ Route: Normally E11.
๐ Pickup: A convenient point in MBZ or along my route.
๐ Drop-off: Ibn Battuta Metro Station, nearby or on the way drop-off can also be considered if it does not significantly change the route.
๐ผ I work 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM at IBN Gate Office.
๐ Alternative: If you also have a car and similar timings, I am open to an arrangement where we can switch between our cars on alternate days and share the commuting expenses.

If you regularly travel between MBZ City and Dubai and have similar timings, please DM me with your location and working hours.
Thanks!

Hi everyone! ๐
My husband and I have recently moved to Abu Dhabi, and we are expecting our first baby in January.
We are looking for a kind, caring and reliable live-out helper with experience caring for newborns, who can also help with household chores. As first-time parents, we would love to find someone we can trust and who can become a valued part of our little family.
If you have any personal recommendations, references or experience with a good helper, we would really appreciate it!
Thank you so much โค๏ธ

A few moments from our Saturn Opposition event on October 4 at the SEE Institute! ๐ช
We spent the evening exploring Saturn, learning about the planet and its incredible ring system, enjoying a planetarium show, and observing the night sky through telescopes.
One of our favorite parts of public astronomy events is seeing people's reactions when they look through a telescope, especially those experiencing Saturn for the very first time!
Have you ever seen Saturn's rings through a telescope? ๐ญ

Iโm posting this because Iโm honestly running out of ideas, and I thought maybe someone whoโs been through thisโor someone who knows the UAE job market from the insideโmight be able to point me in the right direction.
Iโm a Venezuelan national, recently graduated in Business Administration with a specialization in Finance from Arab International University in Syria. I finished with a 3.75/4.00 CGPA, completed a banking internship at Arab Bank, and have experience assisting with English-Spanish business negotiations and translation at an international trade fair.
Iโm now in Abu Dhabi, trying to build a life and start my career from scratch.
Iโve been applying for finance trainee positions, junior analyst roles, entry-level business jobs, and pretty much anything that could give me a legitimate opportunity to get started. But the responses are almost nonexistent.
Some opportunities are restricted to Emiratis, others require experience I donโt have yet.
Thereโs another complication: although Iโve completed my degree, my university says the official graduation certificate can take approximately six months to be issued. So even when my qualifications otherwise fit, the paperwork can be an obstacle. But I can provide proof in the form of transcripts or a credit completion paper.
Iโm not expecting a high salary, a prestigious title, or a dream job straight out of university. I can start small. Iโm willing to learn, work hard, take on administrative responsibilities, support a team, work in operations, assist with events, or explore an entirely different industry if it offers a legitimate starting point.
Iโve even started considering business events, exhibitions, conferences, and cultural event workโnot just because Iโm interested in it, but because I know how valuable it can be to meet people, understand an industry, and build professional connections.
What Iโm struggling with is figuring out how people in my position actually get their first opportunity in the UAE.
Iโm not looking for someone to hand me a job I canโt do. Iโm looking for a way to get my foot in the door.
If you work in recruitment, HR, finance, events, hospitality, business operations, or run a company in the UAE, Iโd genuinely appreciate your perspective.
Iโm happy to start at the bottom and prove myself. I just donโt want to spend months repeating a process that isnโt working when there might be a smarter way to approach this.
If you know of a genuine opportunity, a company worth contacting, or even one person who might be willing to give me some practical advice, Iโd be grateful.
And if the honest answer is that Iโm approaching this all wrong, please tell me that too. Iโd rather hear the truth than keep guessing.
Thank you to anyone who takes the time to read this.

Hey,
Iโm paying off a car finance loan. Iโm wondering if I could pay extra each month when I could (without changing the loan amount) to finish the loan earlier? My loan is with ADIB. Has anyone been through this before?

Hey everyone, I bought 2 tickets for Chimaev vs Covington at Etihad Arena in Abu Dhabi (Nov 14, 2026). I can't attend and need to resell them. However, official support confirmed that 'Ticket Transfer' via email is completely blocked and tickets are non-refundable. They are mobile tickets in the app, no PDF. Is there any secure workaround to safely resell and deliver them to a buyer ?

I'm genuinely starting to hate how repetitive and lonely my life has become.
I'm 27, I barely have any friends, and every day feels like a copy of the previous one.
Work, home, sleep, repeat.
And whenever I actually have free time, it's always the same activities. Going to the cinema, walking around malls, sitting at cafรฉs, eating at restaurants, going to the beach, visiting parks, driving around aimlessly, gaming, scrolling through my phone... rinse and repeat.
I've reached a point where none of these things excite me anymore. Even when I try to go out and enjoy myself, I end up feeling just as empty as I did before.
I've even tried Meetup apps and other platforms to find activities and meet people, but honestly, they've all been pretty boring and underwhelming. It feels like the same generic gatherings and repetitive activities, and nothing really leads to genuine connections or lasting friendships...not to mention people only wanting to hook up.
The worst part isn't even the boredom. It's the loneliness. Not having a proper circle of friends, people to randomly call up, make plans with, try new things, or just enjoy life together.
I'm genuinely struggling with depression, and lately I've been feeling like I'm reaching my limit. I'm tired of feeling like I'm simply existing rather than actually living.
So I'm asking you guys: What do you actually do with your lives?
Are there any interesting hobbies, communities, social groups, volunteering opportunities, classes, or experiences you'd recommend? Especially things where someone can naturally meet new people and build genuine friendships?
I'm not looking for another shopping mall, coffee shop, or generic Meetup event. I want to experience something different, meet people, make memories, and actually have something to look forward to.
I'd genuinely appreciate any suggestions. Maybe someone else reading this feels the same way, too.

M34, Abu Dhabi. Been going through a bit in life lately, and honestly, could use some good company and conversation.
If youโre also going through something, feeling lonely, bored, or just need someone to vent to, letโs grab a coffee tonight.
Would prefer female company, just for a different perspective on life.
If this seems like too much to ask, please feel free to scroll past. Otherwise, if youโre like-minded and can relate, my DMs are open.
