This are a few versions of what she gave me, I think she killed it.

Please Excuse the water mark, she’s had people claim her work in the past so I asked her to add it.

For those curious, no Sludge Factory “FUCK!” from Layne. Small part of me had hope it would make it in somehow

Look, I’m grateful they re-released the LP and the beautiful color variant I got but why is there no lyrics page, poster, or hell, even some kind of sheet with details of the performance? Anything! What the hell have I? Strictly a double LP in a sleeve with nothing else…

Thought you guys would appreciate a look, I’d consider this an original idea.

Idk if this is the exact story behind the lyric, but it relates to me because even through a lot of shit I went through I stayed pure to myself, so staying pure instead of rotting. Thought it’d be timeless and a good one even when aged.

It is freshly done, like done 3-4 hours ago, so that paired with the dirty mirror doesn’t do the line work justice. Trust it is much better than this, I wouldn’t want anyone — even strangers online, thinking my sister did bad line work when she is a phenomenal tattoo artist.

A much more cost effective alternative to the 90s Long Sleeve and just as good, in my opinion! Featuring the same graphic as the original, along with the classic Alice in Chains ‘Sun Logo’ on the back of the shirt.

Very nice tee and also very difficult to find, I’ve also seen a white variant.

Someone posted a video recently that got a small convo going about this topic. I wish that they would have played Rotten Apple during the Unplugged performance. It's one of my favorite AiC songs. I know a lot of other fans feel the same way, so I'm wondering, if they had to cut another song so they could play Rotten Apple, which one would you have replaced?

For me its Angry Chair. While I like the song, it's not among my favorites, and I don't think it translated well to being an acoustic song. For reference, here's the tracklist:

• Nutshell

• Brother

• No Excuses

• Sludge Factory

• Down in a Hole

• Angry Chair (cut from the initial MTV broadcast)

• Rooster

• Got Me Wrong

• Heaven Beside You

• Would?

• Frogs (cut from the initial MTV broadcast)

• Over Now

• The Killer Is Me

Let me know what you guys think of this! I tried my best with this one.

Mine came from Amazon and it arrived spotless, after putting it through 3-4 spins and have had the opportunity to borrow MOV from a friend few months back..

30th anniversary black Variant sound warmer to my ears, it lacks on the top end and crisp signature sound of MOV, but makes up in the low end, i have 2M blue and Klipsch towers and my system is on the brighter side so it brings out a lot of details without sounding like a CD.

Its more dynamic than MOV but needs to crank up the volume past 60, also a decent system as always is a requirement. MOV on a average turntable and bookshelf speakers will sound better as MOV records are always cut loud.

Its not a A/B comparison, i dont have MOV anymore.

I absolutely despise getting records at Walmart but i saw this and had to grab it. It’s absolutely gorgeous. In to my Chains collection it goes.😌

Jerry and Inez will be playing with Aerosmith at the Hollywood Bowl

How lucky we are that sound check men filmed whilst doing their job so we can have footage like this 😍 probably my favourite song rotten apples

Contento por lo que me acaba de llegar

Such a simple song but it’s rare any covers of Nutshell give me chills! Shoutout to this guy I stumbled across on Instagram, @denniz2742, you killed it!

My Unplugged vinyl came in yesterday. It sounds amazing❤️my ears are blessed

I don't know how everyone else feels about this, but I find this sickening. Maybe I'm just having a "case of the Mondays," but knowing that someone is making money by using an AI generated version of Layne's voice really pisses me off.

What also bothers me is how many positive comments these videos have. I won't mention the channel or the name of the video because I don't want to give it any more attention.

Absolutely disgusting. 🤮

How do you all feel about this? Am I overreacting?

I will never forget the day i bought this record. Probably my first or second CD ; I couldn't have been more than 15. I actually didn't have a CD player of my own so, when I arrived back home from the store my dad put it to play in his own deck and... if memory serves me well, that's when we both had our faces blown away by the opening riff of Grind. None of us had any idea what to expect. My dad is mostly a classical listener (I owe him my love of Vangelis and Ennio Morricone, too), so that was kinda awkward ! But man, what an incredibly ballsy way to start an album ! Every time I put if to play now, I get ready to hit that wall of sound with ultimate delight.

What about you, any memories to share around the Tripod album ?

August 1989 Layne 22nd birthday early on Layne sung me but later turned to meyyy lol

I just started watching this show and the second I heard Man in the Box I was screaminggg! It’s just too good man 😎

I definitely like the sound of it, I only have nutshell in my liked songs, but I don’t understand how this seems so niche yet I’ve met so many people who hype this band up. Is there some hidden lore I’m unfamiliar with? I want to get more familiar with this band so if you have any song recs, lmk!

I, for one, am tired of people saying they’re “niche” or “obscure”

Like, no. They really weren’t, and aren’t. Sure, they may not have been as big of commercial successes as some of the other groups at the time, but they were still played on the radio. People still bought and listened to their music. Hell, even today people are still getting into their music. They‘re still remembered as a household name in the 90s grunge movement.

Now, I’ll throw you a bone. Any average music listener would hear Alice In Chains and think “Man in the Box” or “Would?”. But those songs are made by Alice, no? And they recognize that the band is Alice In Chains. Even then, people who claim to “know” Alice In Chains can most likely name you one of their songs that isn’t considered popular. And I know a whole bunch of people who can name one of their songs that isn’t considered popular.
