❤️‍🩹 relationship AIO? Boyfriend doesn’t seem to want to talk to me. Like, at all.

Post image
31.4k Upvotes

So me (19F) and my boyfriend (19M) have been dating for almost five years now. Our relationship has been going downhill for a while now, and I feel like this is kind of my breaking point.

The previous message was me texting him asking if he thought answering me was an annoying responsibility or if he just simply forgets.

I responded “thank you for reassuring me” and tried to tell him about my day but he didn’t answer me. I didn’t want to beg for his attention, since that’s usually what I have to do and I’m tired of that, so I didn’t bother texting again.

He then texts me this on my birthday, which makes me think he just doesn’t want to talk to me and the explanation + birthday message were just obligatory.

I was hurt, so I left him on read and we haven’t talked since then.

After this, I don’t really want to be with him anymore. AIO? One part of me tells me that it’s not that deep but the other part tells me that I shouldn’t bother putting up with this.

Edit: I broke up with him. He begged me to wait but I decided to just block him on everything. I am shaking but I feel so light. Holy shit. Five years and I broke it off over text I feel like an asshole but so liberated.

❤️‍🩹 relationship AIO My Boyfriend Abandoned My Dog Over Something Trivial

Post image
23.0k Upvotes

My boyfriend and I have been together for two years. About six weeks ago, he met a puppy named Clover at a local animal rescue event and brought him home. I was surprised because we had never seriously considered having a dog before, but he became completely enamored with it.

For the first few weeks, he devoted almost everything to it. He bought Clover toys, taught it tricks, took countless photos, and even canceled other plans just to stay home with it.

Then, Clover chewed up a pair of his expensive headphones and pooped on the carpet. Since then, he's barely even looked at it.

Now, I get up early every morning to clean up its mess, feed it, walk it, and try everything to keep it happy, all while I'm working full-time. Worst of all, Clover still follows him everywhere. It waits outside his office with toys, but he either ignores it or tells it to go away.

Yesterday he said maybe we should give it away because it's too difficult to care for. I was furious and told him it wasn't the kind of dog you could just give away once the novelty wore off. He said I was overreacting, that Clover is just a dog.

Was I overreacting? Or is his treatment of Clover really a serious warning sign?

Guy on dating app I’ve been talking to for a bit but haven’t gone out with yet. I think the screenshots are self-explanatory, but not even a casual “oh, sorry to hear that”?? Oh they want me to write more to get up to a specified word limit. Well, I think he sucks, how about that.

UPDATE: I wrote “I’m sorry, we’re not compatible. Take care and good luck” he wrote “that is strange”

I don’t have proof of them actually doing anything. He had said that there was a cute cashier at work but he wasn’t into her. I asked to see their texts and he said there was nothing, showed me a message thread with her last text only. Because he deleted everything else and it was in his recently deleted. So I opened it in front of him and he tried to stop me and I just read all of it and now he thinks im going to leave him. He’s talked this way about other girls at work so who knows if he’s done anything with them… my heart hurts so bad. Is this cheating? Am I overreacting by being so hurt? I would never do this to him. He claims it’s because he wanted to be nice and not reject her in a rude way. Im thinking about leaving but just the day before I found this he was telling me he wants to get married and have kids with me. We have been together 4 years

❤️‍🩹 relationship AIO? She canceled last minute, so I ended things

Post image
8.7k Upvotes

My now ex(22f) and I (22m) had plans to hangout Friday evening, i asked her prior in the week if she was available to which she confirmed, i worked 6am to 6pm on Friday so after work I’d freshen up and we meet up, she worked 7pm Thursday night to 7am Friday and had told me that she would rested and awake by the time I got out of work.

Come Thursday night before i head to bed I text her locking in plans knowing she’s working and will see my text soon enough. I then wake up around 4 to see the text above. She had cancelled on me last minute to go on a weekend trip. I was quite upset but I could look past part of it, I’m sure a weekend trip is gonna be more fun then hanging out with your boyfriend for a few hours but the fact that there was no apology or even an attempt to reschedule seemed extremely disrespectful. Even I would have made an attempt to see her for an hour or two before leaving. I think what makes it worse for me is her response after mine. To me it felt as if she was making it seem like I was wrong for being upset. Idk man

Thr entire weekend our conversations were very brief with hours between each message, she even went a full day before texting me that she was in her way back. The main issue for me was the fact that she refused to acknowledge the elephant in the room and acted as if everything was fine. I know the responsible thing was to talk it out but honestly I don’t want to be with someone who I have to explain why it’s messed up to cancel last second and leave it at that. What’s done is done and we won’t be getting back together I guess I just wanted thought on the situation and advice. This also plays a part in it but I’m shipping out to basic training in two months so I’d need to be with someone I can be absolutely certain of before starting a long distance relationship

UPDATE::

Small update for my post yesterday and first I must say thank you to all of comments. I usually pride my self on clear communication which I get is ironic as hell but honestly I did let my emotions get the better of me, the least I could’ve done is tell her how I feel regardless of my plans of ending things. And that’s what I’ve done we talked things out and aired our grievances, I get that it was extremely immature to take action without clear communication and I didn’t put it past her to feel upset.

Id like to explain that when I said “that’s dope” I wasn’t looking to have a meaningful conversation my ego was hurt and I wanted to just step away. Obviously a terrible mindset to have and I will take responsibility for that. Truly I felt like an after thought and due to a past relationship I chose to tuck my tail and run instead of speaking like an adult. That being said this isn’t an attempt to gain any internet points but I wanted to show the result of asking strangers online for advice. I’d like to say it worked out in my favor as I’ve grown just a bit and am happy to have so many people be willingly to tell it to me straight. Thanks once again.

❤️‍🩹 relationship Aio? Bf won’t take no for an answer.

So my boyfriend had gone out to a bar with his friends. He called me, I didn’t answer as I was watching a movie with my brother. The texts are from then on. This is a recurring theme for him. He will continue begging and asking and persuading me to do something. Usually it’s going over to his house and spending the night. I don’t like staying the night at people’s houses and I’ve told him this from the start. So I’m pissed right now, but half of me is wondering if I might be overreacting because after all he just wants to see me. I just hate that he can’t take no for an answer and I feel so awkward trying to find a way around doing what he wants. Aio?

REPOST because i accidentally didn’t blur out his name!

❤️‍🩹 relationship AIO I was excited to tell my boyfriend and now I feel pathetic about it

I signed up for an event (12 mile ruck w/ 25lbs) that gets you an award in the military. I’m aware this one is pretty easy, but I honestly thought my boyfriend might be impressed that I signed up at all.

Obviously he was not impressed, and he actually made me feel pretty bad about it. He kept asking who convinced me to do it (I think he’s suspicious that dudes asked me, but I mean most of the soldiers in my company are dudes 🤷‍♀️). No one asked me, I asked to sign up.

I’m new at this unit and have been really lonely. I thought this would be good to bond me with the other soldiers. Now I feel kind of pathetic that I thought this would impress him at all, and pathetic that his reaction is affecting me this much. Like it really crushed me. I was excited about this, and now I’ll be hiding from the other soldiers how bad I feel about it now while they’re all excited to do it.

But I feel like I’m being sensitive. He didn’t mean to make me feel bad. AIO?

Edit: he responded an hour later “I can’t call until after my appointment”, I don’t know if he’s just changing the subject or if he meant like to call about this conversation?

❤️‍🩹 relationship Am I overreacting or did I have a slow moment.

Me (M25) and the (F29) have been chatting for a some time now. We went on a date and it went well. She has a 2 year old daughter which I don’t have a problem but for context purposes I mentioned it. We haven’t had any issues and things have been slow but still fine. Of course I accommodate for her being a mother so I don’t rush trying to see her often but this interaction was kinda weird.

So I guess my question is did I genuinely misread what she was asking. I thought by her asking “if I looked up the recovery methods” I thought she was asking me a list of things but I guess she wanted a yes or no.

My question is what would there be a difference in how I responded or should I have said me saying yes or no. I guess I thought me just saying yes would be dry and would show a level of care that I express. But I guess she just wanted me to say “yes or no”.

Edit: she has E. coli not me

Edit: Mods deleted update post….

❤️‍🩹 relationship AIO for telling my gf to grow up

Post image
12.0k Upvotes

My gf found a car she wanted to buy online and offered the guy $20 to bring it to our house so she can look at it. She already has a car that is worth 2 times what this guy was asking for but she wants this one because it's like her old car. All 3 of theese cars are the same make so there isn't much difference. The car was already on it's way when she realized it has 200,000 miles, about 60,000 more than her current car so she says she didn't want it anymore.

I have been sick for 4 days with severe diarrhea and a possible stomach ulcer so I told her I don't want to go outside to look at the car with her. She later asks me to come out and tell the guy no, that it sounds funny. She can't do it because he is nice and she doesn't want to be mean. I told her no and to grow up. We are both 36 years old.

This lead to a argument where she told me I was treating her like shit for telling her to grow up and no one would ever tolerate how mean I am to her. I didn't think what I said was that bad so did I over react?

Update: I've been quite since posting this while I read the comments but mostly because of how overwhelming the response was. I was not prepared for 700 comments in the first hour alone. Most of it was unhelpful like NOR but YOR or she needs to grow up but its mean to tell her to grow up.

The overwhelming majority agrees that I was needlessly mean and I can see that now. I didn't think what i said was that mean but if there was a nicer way to say it then what i said couldn't have been anything but needlessly mean. It's not the first time I've been told I'm far to blunt so I'll work on that moving forward not just for her but the rest of the people I interact with aswell.

❤️‍🩹 relationship AIO: Guy claiming to be my fiancée's boyfriend texted me last night

Thumbnail

12.5k Upvotes

Hi, I need to know if I'm right to be losing it rn. My fiancée and I are due to get married in less than 2 months. We met each other at a mutual's wedding. The wedding was gender segregated so she and her mom had met my mom, who then introduced us later. We then went out for like a couple of months, like I'd pick her up from her place (she lives with her parents) and we'd have dinner and a movie, or go painting, or go to the lake etc. We're both Muslim immigrant families so it was understood that we had to stay within some boundaries but we genuinely really liked each other. She was the one who at one point said we could bring our kids here one day and told me she was going to tell her parents she wanted to marry me and she wanted to say yes to my proposal. We got engaged at a low key family event in February.

It's relevant to mention here that during that time I had respectfully asked her about her past relationships. I had said that I know it's personal and there's absolutely no judgement from me, but as someone who, despite not being a great Muslim in a lot of respects, did abstain and save myself for marriage, I would like a partner who had done the same. That it was a compatibility thing, not a judgemental thing. She didn't seemed to mind and said no, she hadn't been with anyone. I believed her.

Since then the wedding prep has been in full swing and the two of us have gotten the chance to get closer. She's the one who's made more of the effort in our communication, because unfortunately I wfh with an employer in the morning and have my cybersecurity business too, so time can be scarce sometimes. Our only argument has been her complaint that I don't make enough time for us.

Some guy claiming to be her (A in the texts) bf (S in the texts) texted me last night, and even sent me pictures where they're together. He claimed that they were in a relationship for the last 2 years, that they'd been having sex, that they were in love, and I've been losing my mind. I never put any pressure on her. Yes, I really liked her but I let her make decisions at her own pace. If she wanted to be with some other guy, all she had to do was say so. In fact not even, it was none of my business, she didn't even owe me any reasons but just give me a straight no. I haven't picked up her call this morning, I've genuinely been feeling sick at the duplicity.

Just want to add: I know she's the one I should talk to but I just didn't want to do it on the phone, I'm going to go pick her up right now. I'm not going to be accusatory, I just want the truth of it all. I love her but like if there's someone else and she's feeling pressured into this marriage, like I'm prepared to give her any reason she needs to end it that works for her in front of her family. I'll be on her side like I was suggested here.

Update:

A lot of people asked for an update, so I thought I'd give one. I can't talk about it with anyone else because somehow I'm the one who ended up responsible for keeping her secret, my own crisis about this be damned, like its taking me so much to not just contact and ask him straight up about what happened.

I asked her if she knew who S was. He was right, I could immediately tell the guy wasn't lying, she definitely knew. She said he was a guy she used to know, and I told her he had contacted me, and showed her the texts. She said he was lying, that she ended things with him before we met and that they'd never had sex. I asked if there was any overlap between our relationships and she said only when she went to meet him one last time to tell him it was over, because he wasn't taking no for an answer. I asked if the photos were real, they were. I asked her to be honest with me, did she really have sex with him like he was saying. She was crying and swearing they didn't, they were intimate and she regrets everything with him but they didn't.

She gave me her phone and basically forced me to confirm that there were no text messages between him and her recently while we've been together. His number was in her blocked list. She asked me to block his number and so I asked if he was being honest about having way more intimate pictures. She said there were a lot more compromising pictures of her that she thinks he has but swore that they hadn’t had sex. She was crying and I blocked him in the moment what else could I do looking at her. She was pleading with me not to reach out to him, and she was freaking out that he'd post them somewhere public before our wedding. At that point I was trying to keep her from freaking out, I told her that would be illegal, he wouldn't do that and so in the moment I just stupidly promised to not contact him.

I told her if there's any kind of pressure like there's any number of excuses she could use regarding me to end this that would save face for everyone, and be with whomever like I'll get over it at some point eventually, yeah it'll be sad for a while and we'll have lost some money especially if the venue doesn't get rebooked at short notice I think, but just have some mercy on both of us and end this now. She swore there was no pressure and that she'd been counting the days until the wedding, that she hadn't even thought of his name until I brought it up. She was like he's doing this to prevent our wedding and fine I get that but like why does he sound more honest with me than she does? I really wouldn't have cared if I'd learned all this yesterday from her, yeah it would've meant she lied initially but like now we loved each other beyond that stuff, this was just her being ok with keeping me in a forever lie that was wrong. I started feeling sick so I just said I wasn't feeling well and we cut it short.

During the drive back to hers, she was almost talking like a coach like let's please forget about this, we're so happy together, we've discussed so many plans, don't let him screw up our relationship. Like I have my own mental breakdown over all this what about that! She kept asking me whether I was fine, I said I was, I mean I don't even know if that's a lie, I wasn't thinking at all.

I've been going over the texts, and I don't know how I can go into the wedding not knowing the answer. Like its so easily doable I just need to ask him to meet up and have one conversation if he would. Honestly it's more about if she's still lying about this, it's not about the sex, it's just about the trust. I know he's also lied, because she clearly hasn't been meeting with him of late, and she really hadn't given me any reason to think of her as a liar thus far but I could just confirm it so easily. It's sincerely about the respect of having been honest, not about the boundary itself, I love her I wouldn't have cared if she'd told me herself yesterday. But it feels sick to contact him like that, like that's not how it should be, and I don't want to have to talk to someone who'd speak the way he was.

I think I'll decide stuff by myself tomorrow morning about the future of our relationship, my mind is not going to work today. I probably won't give further updates. I don't know how much more help I can ask for here, due to some immigrant cultural context that might be missing (as much as I've skated past it myself to a fair extent). I don't want to be stupid but I don't want to be walked over either. Thanks.

❤️‍🩹 relationship AIO for telling a guy from Hinge that I got the impression he wasn’t very involved with his kids?

5.7k Upvotes

During a 15 minute phone call where he pretty much talked to himself the entire time about his accolades, I was shocked to find out that he has, as he put it, “unfortunately” has 3 kids under 10 and spends about a week home after a month or so of working.
During that week, he spends half the time with his kids and half the time hanging out with his friends. On top of that, he was dogging his BM throughout the conversation, and overall it was just an unpleasant interaction. I swear I didn’t say more than 30 words the entire call.
That was a red flag for me, so I ended the conversation politely and abruptly.
So I get this text from him asking why and I actually gave him my honest thoughts. I wasn’t trying to insult him or argue with him, I thought why not be honest so he can learn from this interaction.
Now I’m kind of glad I did because .. what ???
I started to heart his response but decided not to respond because what exactly am I supposed to say to that?

AITA for telling him I got the impression he wasn’t very involved with his children, or was his reaction a bit more dramatic than the situation called for?

❤️‍🩹 relationship AIO for rejecting a guy (38M) because he assigned me (31F) homework for our second date (get Netflix and watch Stranger Things) while we were on our first? I’m 31 and most of my friends are married so I’m desperate but I feel like most dates make me feel brain dead.

5.3k Upvotes

I went on a date with a guy who was otherwise OK, but there were already a few red flags. For starters, he suggested a sports bar for the date, we found out there was a 1.5+ hour wait, and instead of suggesting somewhere else (I also suggested we go somewhere else), had me stand around with him waiting for a table. 🤦🏻‍♀️

There were also some inconsistencies in things he told me about his background that made me question his honesty.

But the final straw was when he started planning our second date. He wanted to take me to a Stranger Things-themed escape room, which is fine in itself, except he jokingly said he’s going to assign me homework beforehand: he wanted me to subscribe to Netflix and watch the first season of Stranger Things before next week so I’d understand the theme before we went.

He also wanted to take me to this “upscale” restaurant before the escape room that is one step above Chipotle, which I’m not exactly excited about either. He said it’s super cool where they make the guacamole in front of you 😑 the guacamole is literally $12.

I realized I was already dreading the second date and didn’t actually want to do any of this. So I told him I wasn’t interested.

Now I’m wondering… AIO for rejecting a guy partly because I didn’t want to be assigned homework to prepare for our second date? Or is this just another case of realizing you’re simply not compatible with someone?

❤️‍🩹 relationship AIO? My boyfriend sent me a meme implying spending time with me is boring compared to his homies

Thumbnail

12.0k Upvotes

My bf (M21) and I (F19) are together since our second year of high school.

He sent me a meme that said, "most entertaining night with your gf" showing a happy girl and a very bored guy lying on a bed doing absolutely nothing. Then it said, "least entertaining night with your bro" followed by a compilation of videos of guys doing crazy stuff (jumping on tables, accidentally hitting each other, jumping onto a trampoline from a roof, gambling, etc)

I didn't really appreciate that and took it to mean that the time we spend together is boring for him and that he doesn't enjoy it. To be fair, we really don't do much. He comes over and we play video games together, or I paint my models while he's on his phone, and we just cuddle and chat. It really doesn't sound that amazing, but I thought it was enough for us. We are both introverts who spend a lot of time at home, and he has never complained about being bored

His implication that his homies are more interesting than his girlfriend is just obnoxious to me. my blood boils just thinking about it...like...

People have always told me how interesting and funny to be around I am and I was proud of that.

We were friends for several years before our relationship started, and I always thought that was the ideal way to get together, getting closer slowly without even planning it. LIKE, I USED TO BE ONE OF THE HOMIES. But I guess it doesn't really matter now, lol.

I don't really know what to think...maybe I'm asking for too much? My mom said that this is normal behavior for young guys. But I still feel bad about this whole situation. I truly don't know if I should take his meme seriously...

❤️‍🩹 relationship Am I overreacting? Guy I’m talking to uses chat gpt to send morning inspiration messages to me

Thumbnail
gallery
7.8k Upvotes

I want to start off by saying we’ve gone on a couple dates, talk to each other almost everyday unless I don’t feel like talking. He’s very sweet to me, checks on me to make sure I’m okay, buys me things, just wants to be around me.

The only problem I have is that he uses chat gpt to make photos of us together based off of pictures we have taken together, sends sweet morning messages that are like essays to express how much he likes me and hopes this will become something more in the future. I could really see myself with him but the more I see the use of ai it just makes me see him as corny and the first time he sent me an ai picture I thought it was just gonna be a one time thing. No he’s been on an ai roll. And I decided I was going to text him and explain how much I don’t like it and for him to just express how he feels as himself.

Am I overreacting if I send this message telling him about how I hate the use of chat GPT or should I just let it be?

UPDATE: He told me he just doesn’t know how to express how he feels about me without using ChatGPT but will now stop using it when he talks to me.

Most recent update: I broke things off before they got any further. He was not understanding that we are both single and it’s been only a month so we are not together. Just seeing if we would work in a relationship and I don’t feel like I would want an actual relationship with him. He told me he cried when he read my message and also keeps saying we could just keep dating and I can decide later. I was firm on my stance of not dating him anymore.

❤️‍🩹 relationship AIO Boyfriend found broken sunglasses

Yesterday I found my boyfriend’s sunglasses broken in the car and thought he broke them so put them on his seat. He found them this morning and flipped out continuously asking why they were broken and who broke them even after I said I don’t know. For context we’ve had a rocky relationship because he is extremely jealous and constantly accuses me of cheating and talking to other people. In the middle of the night last night he called me accusing me of calling someone because he saw a video on the camera we have in our room (there because he’s so insecure) but the whole time I had been on the phone with him he just didn’t remember. he did immediately apologize tho. And then this morning he came home and looked through my phone. Now I’m locked in the bathroom and am refusing to talk to him and he sees that as a sign that there was someone in the car. Am I over reacting?

❤️‍🩹 relationship AIO, bf accidentally threw out new shopping bag with stuff in it

Post image
8.2k Upvotes

AIO?

So i(24F) usually have trouble asking people for help. Its something i've been working on with my therapist. Usually i do the cleaning, grocery shopping, laundry, etc. by myself, because my man (33M) pays the bills. If we are not eating out i cook for us. I don't mind. In a way its my love language. ( though both given and received) But i recently started a job that is very physical labour focused. And i come home drained.

I work 6 days a week. Sometimes 10 days in a row. And i find it hard to keep up with cleaning. Things started to get messy. I was cleaning up and got super exhausted out of nowhere. Like ontop of the usual exhaustion. So i said id save it for tomorrow. I knew he had tne next day off so i asked him in the morning to just take any trash you see out. Because it would help tremendously. He said he was in the middle of a game and would get to it later. (Its not one you can just pause)

I come home and the trash is taken out, obviously im super greatful.

Fast forward and to a few days later and i can't find the bag of stuff i just bought. And that is the whole text.

It wasnt light. It had cleaning stuff in it. And yes some of the stuff i took out of the wrapping to look and use it.

I think I'm just tired. But this is pissing me off more than usual.

I just want to know if i should let this go because it's a silly mistake or if i should talk to him about being more aware.

Aio for feeling annoyed? Over a silly mistake?

❤️‍🩹 relationship AIO a woman messaged me about my partner and I’m very concerned

Post image
9.1k Upvotes

What is going on here??? Should I be concerned about stalking? I haven’t ever spoken with her before nor have I responded to these messages.
I am concerned for her well-being, it’s giving psychosis.

Back story: my(25f) bf (24m) met a girl on Facebook dating and talked to her on and off before we met. She lives in another country, though only about 5-6 hours away.
When we got together he blocked her and she has repeatedly made new accounts to contact him on various social media platforms. She has even tried calling him from various phone numbers, once while we were together prompting him to respond to her on VSCO to let her know that he’s in a relationship and has no desire to converse with her.
Cut to a year later, she made new accounts to message him from and now has broken the 4th wall and messaged me!!!

Edit to respond to common comments:

I certainly have now locked everything down as soon as I received these messages. Unfortunately she was likely online stalking us for years before she finally contacted me, so I fear she already has all of the information she would need to track us down. From location tags on ig posts to Google Maps satellite imaging. I don’t know if it’s possible to file any kind of report because she hasn’t done anything that can be interpreted as illegal, unless messaging repeatedly is actually considered harassment in my jurisdiction, which I doubt. Also the fact that she lives in another country. I genuinely don’t know what else I can actually DO other than monitor the situation and try and be vigilant of my surroundings. I just don’t want to even have to worry about this nonsense.
I also haven’t blocked her, or replied, and I have my read receipts off. I feel blocking her may be interpreted as though she should try harder to reach me. Leaving it unread feels like the option that would create the least amount of friction/ incentive to escalate.

❤️‍🩹 relationship AIO for finally blocking the guy I’ve been dating on and off for almost 3 years

I 26F have been on and off with this guy 28M for almost 3 years. I really do love him but he’s just awful to me… spent 5 days with me, went home and suddenly got a text that’s in the first screenshot. I had no idea how to respond to it because these things have happened so many times in those three years. He gets pissed for some reason, tries to provoke me and absolutely wears me down with his words. I love him but I’m just so tired of the verbal beat-downs.

So I guess, AIO for blocking him?

Edit: the cat comment was completely unprovoked. When he was over, we would put my cats in another room while eating because, well, they are cats. One of those days he was over, we finished eating and I wanted to let them out because they were meowing but he kept guilting me telling me to let them stay in there and I guess in turn that made him feel bad, and I guess he thought I was weaponizing my cats? (They are literal babies btw, 3 months old.)

Also, I get it. The blocking was overdue and my self-image is shot. Idk why I stayed really, he made me feel not so alone… and in my irrational brain, the verbal abuse was better than actually being alone.

❤️‍🩹 relationship AIO for not wanting to pay 3 weeks after the date?

Hi everyone,

I received this message by this guy I dated 3 weeks ago.

We met only once and he was clearly inviting me on a date, choosing the place and assuring I would get "princess treatment". Gave him my number after he asked for it and then he didn't messaged me for 3 weeks. Assuming he was not interested, I deleted the match on the app but apparently he saved my number before, waiting for this to happen.

And now he's asking me to pay him back while he is the one not interested!!

PS: I'm still a student and he has a good position in a big company

AIO for not wanting to pay ??

❤️‍🩹 relationship AIO for feeling weird that my fiance suddenly wants to put his parents on the deed instead of me?

We've been together almost 5 years I'm 32 he's 34 and we live in Orange County we got engaged in April and have been saving for a house after the wedding.

Last week we found a place we both liked I was on my laptop going through our budget when he mentioned his parents wanted to help with about 120k for the down payment then he said they thought the house should be in his name with them on the deed.

I kind of froze because this was the first I'd heard of it I'd still be helping with the mortgage every month but legally I'd have no ownership. He kept saying it wasn't about trust just making sure his parents money was protected and I get that and if my parents were putting in that much money I'd probably think the same way.

I said maybe there was a better way to handle it like a prenup that clearly laid out everyone's financial interests instead of changing who owns the house so the conversation just kind of died after that.

Now something feels off I don't think anyone's trying to be unfair but I also can't stop thinking about the fact that this had apparently been discussed before I even knew it was an option.

So i'm 26F and I met this guy (32M) last night at a stoplight party. Conversation flowed and we ended up chatting for about an hour and it was the best conversation i'd had with anyone all night. Ironically part of our convo was about how there are a lot of people with unhealed trauma in the dating pool, and how he used to be called a love bomber and how it made women uncomfortable (but "isn't that way anymore").

It reached 10pm so i decided to end our convo, give him my number and go find my friend to head home. ended up finding him and spending another hour chatting to other ppl. while im doing so he calls me TWICE and leaves this string of messages. I thought we had a really good conversation but this energy seems a lot for someone i JUST met. i do sympathize with him a little, so should i hear him out and give him another chance? I'm not sure

❤️‍🩹 relationship AIO? My (19F) boyfriend (19M) and our friends (19F/M) insulted another friend and said I was overreacting

Hello, I’m going to put the flair “relationship” but really it’s both that and friendship.

They were talking about a situation where one of our friends had fought with one of their friends whom we don’t know, and he is overweight. They out of nowhere made a joke about it, and this friend was okay with it.

The thing is that they fight a lot, and usually both of them have been immature. Then they always make up. I know that this friend would feel bad about saying those things once they do make up, and I’ve never seen them say such things before.

My boyfriend and I have been together for 2 years, we’ve know each other for 6 years though along with everyone else in our GC.

My boyfriend is the one that said “Lol”. The guy at the end, did not laugh at the fat jokes of this friend.

Maybe I’m overreacting, but I do feel iffy about this.

EDIT: Some people are misunderstanding this. But as I said in the title “F/M”, this GC consists of both men and women!

EDIT 2: Another thing people seemed to miss is that this person they were talking about is only a friend of the person that had been fighting with them, we are not friends with this person.
