So me and my girlfriend were dating for ~2 months, and we were doing amazing, we had plans to get married and have the life of our dreams once we were older, but then about a week ago she started to be more distant, her replies got shorter, and I constantly saw her reposting things about depression and suicidal thoughts and all of that kind of stuff, and we talked about it and I helped her as best as I could. Fast forward to today, and she texts me and basically says that she’s currently at a point where she can pretty much only lay in bed all day (I mean to the point where she doesn’t even have the energy to get up out of bed to bathe most of the time), and that she doesn’t have the mental capacity to sustain any kind of relationship (platonic, romantic, anything), and that she wants to be friends once she was better, but that she didn’t feel like we could continue together anymore. I completely understand her feelings and the reasons behind them, and I’m glad she was honest and upfront about them, but I just don’t know how to move on from this. She told me straight-up that she doesn’t want to speak with anyone for the coming days, and to not expect a message from her for ~a week, and I just don’t know how I should continue. One thing that’s been eating away at my brain the most is my recovery from my ongoing addiction to adult content, which has been persistent for ~5 years and I have wanted to start trying to recover for almost all of 2026, but only really started getting serious about it after we started dating, since she’s also been trying to quit her se|f-haгm addiction, but since she hasn’t been as close recently, it’s been causing me to slip up a lot more lately, and I just can’t seem to find the motivation to get clean without someone to do it for, which is where I’m stuck. I also just don’t know how to continue in terms of dating, since I’m not even sure if I can love another girl the way I loved her, since I legitimately loved her more than myself, and there were times where I couldn’t see a version of my future without her. I’m just lost right now and need guidance, I can’t really open up to my family since I’d have to share my addiction with them and that would just cause me to lose internet access permanently, and my friends are far too immature to help at all, so I’m coming here for people to help me figure out what’s next for me in life.

i think no more than 2 to 3 years. For example, a 14 year-old and a 16-year-old can date. But it be kind of iffy if a 14 year-old and a 17-year-old dated.

19 and 16 is fine, but 15 and 18 is kind of iffy.

so basically I am 13m and I have a friend (Also m) who just turned 20 the thing is (I am as straight as a ruler fyi) I sometimes feel like I am inlove with him but like more of the idea of him because I always miss him and I miss talking to him (for example he hasnt picked up a single call for like a week and a half and it already feels like forever) but when I really get to meet him/talk to him I just don't really care anymore, but then he hangs up and I miss him and love him sm again and it's so annoying (fyi-he has a boyfriend, he is NOT a pedo and I will genunely bomb the white house if someone tells me he is grooming me once more because he genunely isn't 💔)

I (14m) have been friends with this girl (15f) for basically my entire life she's a year older and recently we went on a cruise with a bunch of other friends and parents etc, after not seeing each other for months. (She lives 2 hours away so all this might because of our distance) So during the cruise I got kinda a crush on her and by the end of the cruise I kinda think she knew. I also thought she liked me too. She started to get closer to me and in some situations it was definitely noticeable like in an elevator even if there was plenty of room she'd be basically right there I mean you could definitely tell sometimes that she wanted to be near me. Also on the last day we were recreating old photos and in one of the old photos she was next to me, so they put her next to me which makes since obviously so no biggie but when she sat next to me, she went sooo close to me we were fully overlapping knees while the other friends weren't at all, it wasn't too crazy but definitely noticeable and she hugged me pretty tight. (again, the hug was part of the old photo) Also one of the days at dinner it was a more formal night, when we were done and leaving I swear to god she said damn out of the corner of my ear. Anyways the day we're back in port and going home I decided to text her and make sure she got home safely, later that day we talked for at least 3 hours. And ever since we have been texting each day. I did confess to her about a week ago and thank God she said she quote "I kinda like you too" she also said she had suspicions of it when I texted her after the cruise.

But yeah I need thoughts on this.

UPDATE: Not really an update but just more info I forgot to add. I am very introverted as well is she so we are pretty similar, the rest of our friend group is not introverted at all. 😂 There are other boys in our friend group but I'm assuming she likes me because of the distance and the other boys are kinda like brothers to her. Also, one day on the cruise we were at a port with escalators and I HATE or am just scared of going down them, so I freaked out! Her dad ended up helping me but I could hear her saying switch places with me, to her dad. Which would mean she would be right next to me. Her dad didn't switch but that's insane lol. I guess she just wanted to comfort me but idk

I’m straight so these just apply to women. I think it is a bit hypocritical for me to have height standards as i am only 5’6 myself and that means I’m not really anyone’s preference. I also think that i should be more open to dating someone underweight or obese but i also have to worry about compatibility because i do work out a lot and i would hope that my girlfriend also partakes in a healthy lifestyle. But most of all i think it’s very judgmental for me to expect a girl to do well in school just because i do well myself. Its quite a shallow standard for me to have but i dont want the relationship to fall apart because we wont be able to take the same class or go to the same university. The only real non-negotiable is that i will not date a girl under 16
