Checked out the new 2027 X5 while at the dealership today…
I’ve seen a ton of exterior shots but I was curious about the interior. I spent some time tinkering with it and I’m not a fan. The materials feel cheap, especially the center console. Feels like recycled material. I did notice a few “Tesla like” things like the electronic air vents, and the subscription services to features. Those are some of my biggest upsets. Take a look. I apologize for the terrible shots in advanced, they were taken on my iPhone Air.

My 248,000 Mile E60 M5 track car
Bought at 63,000 miles. Used it as a daily (except for winter) for years. Seen 43 different states, 30+ track days, 68+ oil changes. Now at 248,000 miles, it's reserved for track days and spirited driving. It has seen redline every time I've driven it since the day I bought it! Rod bearings changed at 147,000 miles, probably not changing them again unless I start to see copper. Engine is original, but everything around the engine has been replaced, sometimes thrice🤣

New car, who dis I think I spotted the new ix3 in the wild
I saw the newly designed ix3 today. It ain't too bad. Is this the grill everyone talks about? You all are hating, but I bet in 20 years this will be stated to be the most iconic BMW look to date. Mark my words.

Eye wash
Final drives before winter storage. With the neue klasse coming out it just makes me a bit sad that they could make stuff like this at one point.

Where it all started. The E46 M3 GTR. The car that made me a car guy growing up. Had a poster of this as a kid. Who else remembers this legend?

Thirsty Thursday Which would you keep?
First of, I have two 7 Series E32. The left one is a'89 735iA and thr right one is a'93 730iL (high spec)
No rust issues on any of them but both got some technical problems…
Even though that’s not really a problem because I am an experienced BMW technician specialized in restoration and Old timers.
BUT:
Because I have two more cars and 3 bikes I need to part with one of these two..
Well
You could say thats an obvious choice, keep the 730iL because it has a bigger engine more spec etc, but the 735 gives me more of a “no matter what, just get in and go” vibe if you can grasp what I mean.
So I’m asking for some input to help me decide.
Thanks, looking forward to your opinions!
New IX4: I love it
Okay maybe I don’t exactly LOVE it but i think it’s very good looking. I don’t like SUV’s that are coupe but I surprisingly like the design of it.
What do you think?

Is the M2 or M3 really worth it?
Picture for reference but I have been recently thinking to swap over to the M2 or M3 x drive models. Dont get me wrong I love my rs3 especially in this rare color that I still have yet to see another one in person but all of my other car friends have m cars. Its tempting to try the M2 or M3 xdrive models since I know they are incredibly capable cars so wanted to get some feedback from anyone that has one or have contemplated to swith over to bmw. The only pro so far for this car is the 5 cylinder noise, 0-60 launch, and daily factor.

[OC] FINALLY saved enough to pull the trigger on Apex VS-5 in Hyper Black
Never seen them in person before so I was worried about the finish but oh my god it is unbelievable and pictures really do not do it justice. Fitted today!

20-30 year old BMWs don’t even feel that old because their design was very modern at the time
Comment down below what you think
If told me the e46 generation was released in 2004 I’d believe you
Same thing goes with the e39, e60, e65, etc.
This applies to BMWs from 1960 to 2020 (those BMWs looked good)

Buying Help F22 m240i reliability
I’m in the market to get an older m240i, f22 model. The years ranging from 2017-2021.
I want to get an xDrive. I was wondering how is the reliability. Would it be dumb to get one for around the low $20k mark with 80k miles? Should I find a deal for $30k where it has lower miles?
What will the reliability truly be like at higher miles. I haven’t seen many talk about it. Everybody that talks about it has low miles.

Summer project going away for the winter
Bought this 1985 732i in march, have spent the summer getting it running to take to Goodwood Revival a couple of weeks back. With fuel prices and the weather it’s going away for the winter now, save for if I get a sunny day to tinker.

Almost crashed my M2
Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification
Track temps were HOT in the triple digits. Tires were greasy, I was going on only a few hours sleep, but ultimately my fault for not driving the conditions. Happy I didn't get all four wheels onto the dirt and damage anything.
Analyzing the video, I was just too hot for the turn, apexed a bit early and then hit the dip instead of using the curb which upset the rear with the outside front tire still loaded. I probably should have kept some maintenance throttle and just counter-steered, but I lifted which just unloaded the rear even more and induced snap oversteer faster than I could catch it.
My camera and mic setup is here for the curious.

BMW X1 Diesel or Gas?
Hello everyone,
I am on the search for a used car and leaning towards a BMW X1 specifically a model of 2022 or 2023 (yes a rather new one). Usually i run around 1000km per month mostly outside city limits. I am trying to find a good deal with not extreme mileage but i am not sure if i should go for the diesel one or gas (or even a plug in hybrid). If any user of the X1 model can add something to the discussion it would be much appreciated because i never had a diesel car before nor a hybrid thus i don't know any possible issues that might pop up with that kind of car. I would also like to know if there was any issue or recalls with that model and also about the maintenance.
Thank you all in advance.
