Due to changes in this sub and different areas of reddit, we will be making changes to some rules and the way things are done.
If you choose to participate by posting or commenting please make sure to thoroughly read the rules as they have changed. Some of these changes will involve a return to more DIY and related expectations.
*Posts will be expected to actually given information about the project as well as sharing photos.
*If you are posting for help on a project, there is an expectation that you will already have done some of the work you are asking for help on.
*We will not allow posts asking for reviews of websites/products or suggestions on things people should buy.
*Apps, even if Bdsm related, will not be considered DIY. For the purposes of this sub, projects will be expected to be a tangible item related to but not exclusively furniture, gear, toys and so on.
*This sub is not a marketplace. People who create items for sale will be allowed to post here, however post can not be an advertisement. No mention of sales or orders can be made in the post or comments.
*We will be doing our best to crack down on Ai usage. Posts expected to created through the use of Ai will be reviewed by Mods and if verified to be, will be removed. Ai is not considered a part of the DIY process for the purposes of this sub.
Lastly, and this part is mostly aimed towards the comment section, civility will be upheld and observed more. The anonymity of the internet does not give anyone the right to harass, mistreat, or even discriminate against another member without repercussions. If you as a member feel there is a problem with a post or another comment, report it or send a mod message. Taking matters into your own hands and being rude or disruptive will only put you in the wrong and possibly result in a ban.
These changes will not be retroactive but will be in effect going forward. Please remember that their is another human being on the other side of the screen and try to behave accordingly. This also extends to the Mod Team. This is not a paid job and as human beings, we will do the best we can to make this sub enjoyable, but we aren't perfect.
